All necessary manpower, machineries, cranes, testing equipment, consumables are included in contractor's scope of work. Welding shall be of radiographic quality by welders qualified as per ASME Section IX with supply of approved electrodes/consumables, welding machine, tools & tackles etc. No extra payment will be made for conducting tests for establishing welding procedure (PQR and WPS) as per ASME Section IX and approved by TPIA / Counsultant . Note:a. All cutting, laying and fit-up will be done as per approved pipeline route, P&ID diagram, Piping GAD & layout issued for construction. (necessary isometric drawings to be arranged by the contractor for weld joint designation and routing). | 355 | Installation Fire water Pumps- diesel Engine Driven Installing, aligning, testing and commissioning of the supplied diesel engine driven fire water pump sets with all accessories (panel, battery charger, cooling system, exhaust line, diesel engine, cables, instruments, starter/auto starter etc. complete) to be mounted on common base frame on foundations including supplying foundation bolts without causing damage to the pumps/ foundation & accessories; The pump set shall be installed including grouting the foundation bolts into the the pockets provided in the foundation and aligning the pump set etc. all complete as per specifications, drawings and instructions of the site Engineer.Note:(1) Supplying & fixing battery fitter stand using ISA 65 x 6 MS angle iron supports with necessary foundation including providing teak wood plank 20 mm thk and positioning 2x12 V batteries & connecting the same with battery charger panel etc. complete.(2) Supplying, fabricating, welding, erecting with suitable supports minimum 150 mm dia. medium duty MS ERW Pipe as per IS 1239 or as per recommendation by OEM for exhaust line of Fire Water Pump Engines including installing and erecting the supplied metallic bellows and silencer; the exhaust pipe shall be adequately supported in the fire water pump house with suitable arrangements; the entire exhaust pipe shall be lagged using 12 mm dia. asbestos rope and cladding the line in 22 g Aluminium sheet with necessary riveting and fixing; The exhaust pipe outside the fire pump house shall be taken to a minimum height of 3 mtrs. above the roof and supported by means of suitable brackets / guy wires / angle support; The exhaust shall also be provided with suitable arrangements so as to prevent rain water from entering the pipes.(3) The asbestos rope shall be as per IS specification & shall be approved make. Approximate length of rope shall be 15m per set.(4) The pumps to be supplied by NRL will be supplied anywhere within the premises. The transporting and handling of the same to actual location of installation will be contractor’s responsibility for which no extra payment will be made.
