Name of Work:- COMPREHENSIVE REPAIRS OF STORMWATER DRAINS AND CONNECTED RETAINING WALLS AND CLEANING OF VEGETATION AND CLEANING OF AREA DRAINS AROUND THE AIR FIELD AT INS UTKROSH, SRI VIJAYAPURAM (8850/E8)

2Material and labour for precast cement concrete block masonry with solid block, exc 10cm in width, in plain cement concrete 1:3:6, type C-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate set in cement mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
3Excavating over area n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in hard/dense soil
4Excavating over area exc 1.5 m in depth or part there of and getting out in hard/dense soil
5Demolition of Cement Concrete (reinforced) of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
6M & L for providing precast cement concrete Type B1 1:2:4 using 20mm graded aggregate as in landings, cover slabs (for man holes etc.) chullah hoods, chajjas, water troughs, mangers, shelves and similar articles with plain faces using required form work for fair finished surfaces complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
7Return filling in Surplus soil, back filling of retaining wall including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers n.exc. 25cm all as specified
8M&L for PCC 1:4:8 type D2 using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in filling, foundation and mass concrete
9M&L for Nominal mix RCC M-30 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) in Walls, retaining walls,basement walls, ballast walls and the like; anythickness; above top of footings; including attached pilasters and buttresses complete all as specified and directed
10M&L for Nominal mix RCC M-30 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) in Slabs supported on walls,beams and columns in floors,roofs,landings, balconies,canopies, deck slabs and in shelves and the likecomplete all as specified and directed
11M&L for use and waste form work to sides of concrete foundations, footings, rafts, and raft beams sides and soffit of foundations and plinth beam and similar work for flat rough finished surface all as specified
12M&L for use and waste form work to faces of walls retaining walls abutments, parapets and like for flat rough finishesd surface all as specified and directed.
13M&L for mild steel TMT bars 10mm dia and over, cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm dia or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed
14M&L for mild steel TMT bars 5mm dia and over upto and including 10mm dia, cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm dia or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed
15M&L for 100 mm bore UPVC (SWR) pipes as in weep holes complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
16M&L for broken stone or boulders including hand packing (any thickness) at back side of weep holes and raising or lowering to the required level complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
17Removing excavated soil exc 50 m but n.exc 250 m and depositing where directed at level n.exc 1.50 m above the Starting point complete all as directed.
18Cleaning of runway cross drains or drains adjacent to runway (closed/open) of any cross section of width not exceeding 2.00m at top by removing vegetation, debris, waste materials and mud deposits etc. manually/mechanically and throwing the sludge wherever directed all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note : The rate quoted shall be deemed to be considering following provisions and nothing shall be paid extra on this account.[a] The work shall be executed as and when required basis / urgent basis for smooth / free flow of rain water etc. during any season or whether conditions or at any time during the day or night as ordered / as required at site.[b] The rate quoted is deemed to including the cost of dewatering as required in any condition including foul condition, all the tools and plant as required, removing and replacing in position existing cover slabs of any description without disturbing the existing drains. Nothing shall be paid extra on this account.[c] Usually, the labour when ordered shall report at site for cleaning of drain within 02 Hours and the blockage shall be cleared on the same day. Failing which a penalty @ ₹ 2,000.00 Per 08 Hours shall be levied and the decision of GE shall be final and binding.[d] Area shall be as decided by the Engineer-in-Charge and representative of users.[e] The work shall be carried out using JCB / Tata Hitachi EX 100 /210 Excavator with Camshell bucket or grapple or any other Machinery as required at site.[f] Proper care shall be taken while removing the silt, grit, mud and other materials to avoid any damage to the existing underground cables and pipelines etc. Damage if any occurs to the underground cables and pipelines, the same shall be made good immediately to match the existing and to restore the services and rate quoted is deemed to be including the same.[g] The work is required to be executed in highly restricted area along Main Runway. Therefore, the work shall be executed during non-flying hours either during Day or Night without causing any disturbance for flying. Proper safety arrangement, equipment shall be provided by the contractor for workmen.

Note : The rate quoted shall be deemed to be considering following provisions and nothing shall be paid extra on this account.[a] The work shall be executed as and when required basis / urgent basis for smooth / free flow of rain water etc. during any season or whether conditions or at any time during the day or night as ordered / as required at site.[b] The rate quoted is deemed to including the cost of dewatering as required in any condition including foul condition, all the tools and plant as required, removing and replacing in position existing cover slabs of any description without disturbing the existing drains. 20M&L PCC 1:2:4 type B2 using 12.5mm graded stone aggt as in coping complete all as specified & as directed.
21M&L for rendering 15mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 on concrete or brick wall surfaces, even and smooth without using extra cement etc., complete all as specified and directed.
22M&L plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-2 (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) for surface channel incl weathering slightly rounded or chamfered including formwork complete all as specified and directed.
23Cleaning / removing the rubber particles from runway surface (Touch down points of Aircraft) by RUBBER REMOVAL EQUIPMENT and washing down the waste with water pressure (without disturbing the original surface) and removing the waste using vaccum cleaner so that surface is ready for operation and Performing Skid resistance test with PORTABLE SKID RESISTANCE TESTER (PSRT) on the rubber removed surface at the Touch down area of Aircraft @ 5.00 m c/c on both side ( Eastern / Western side ) of the center line of runway in a span of 15.00 m total width and for a given runway length of 300 m with the help of Portable BRITISH PENDULUM TESTER all as specified and directed.all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.Note : (a) The rubber removal is done by rubber removal equipment as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge and prior approval shall be taken from Garrison Engineer.(b) Caliberation test certificate of PSRT should be submitted for the test equipment before performing the test.(c) The rubber remvoal shall be preferably done during pre-monsoon and post monsoon period.(d) The PSRT test is to be carried out on Touch down area of runway surface at flexible as well as rigid pavements within one week of rubber removal process so as to ascertain friction value of cleaned surface.(e) The test should be performed by the qualified technician who have prior experience in this field. The test shall be conducted five times at one location and avg reading shall be considered.(f) The test report in duplicate should be submitted in hard copy as per standard format or as prescribed.(g) The Air-field is operational. So, the work shall be done durin Non - flying hours during day or night as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge and guidelines of user & ATC.
24M & L preparation of existing surfaces of Taxiway Marking and Turning Pads of Runway surfaces of all dirt, scales, oil grease and foreign materials etc. and Painting Lines, Dashes, Arrows, Letters etc. and the like exceeding 10 cm width or girth (Retro Reflective Type) of color yellow with white and black borders, cold applied type, applied by skilled painter manually or with mechnical applicator of wet film thickness of 400 microns in single coat and dry film thickness of 200 microns and coverage @ the rate of 0.4 to 0.5 litres per square meter and application of drop on Glass beads Type IV (Reflective Index 1.5) @ 50 Grams per square meter complete all as specified and directed.
25M & L for preparation of existing bituminous / concrete surfaces of all dirt, scales, oil grease and foreign materials etc. and Painting Lines, Dashes, Arrows, Letters, etc. on Roads / Pavements / Runway / Dispersal / Taxi Tracks and the like exceeding 10cm width or girth with one Coats of Water based Acrylic Runway marking paint of colour White or Golden Yellow or Yellow or Black or Red complete all as specified and as directed.Note: [a] The rate quoted shall be deemed to be considering following provisions and nothing shall be paid extra on this account.[b] Periodicity of painting, will be as decided by the Engineer-in-Charge in consultation with users. For this purpose, the tenderer shall maintain a register indicating the details of location, date, area, signature of Engineer-in-Charge, user's representative and Contractor.[c] The work is required to be executed in highly restricted area along Main Runway. Therefore, the work shall be executed during non-flying hours either during Day or Night without causing any disturbance for flying.
