(b) Design mix shall be got done by the contractor at his own expenses from NABL laboratory as decided by GE/AGE(I). (c) Contractor shall quote his rates by considereing binder contents @ 5.5% of total mix by weight, however in case of any variation in weight of binder contents on lower side as per actual mix design, the same shall be ajusted @ Rs. 80.00 Per Kg of bitumen. |

Notes :-(a) Premixed Bituminuous Macadam shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper.(b) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined follwing the Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Institute Manual MS-2 (Sixth Edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111:2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of Rs. 80.00 Per KG of bitumen. |
