Name of Work:- REPAIR/MAINTENANCE OF AIRFIELD LIGHTING SYSTEM INSIDE TECH AREA AT AF STN SIRSA
Sl. No. Item Description
1Deployment of a dedicated maintenance gang comprising minimum one suitably skilled AFLS/Electrical worker and one unskilled worker, along with requisite tools, tackles, plant, equipment, testing/fault-tracing equipment when required, personal protective equipment (PPE), safety arrangements and other resources required for execution of the complete scope of Airfield Lighting System (AFLS) repair and maintenance works under this Schedule, on a daily basis (during working hours) during the currency of the contract, at such location(s) and for such duration as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge/User's authorised representative.NOTES AND CONDITIONS:(1) This is a mandatory contractual requirement and shall not be measured or paid for separately. No separate rate, unit or quantity shall be applicable for deployment of the maintenance gang. Irrespective of the duration of deployment, number of labour-hours/person-days involved or quantum of labour deployed, payment to the Contractor shall be made only for the actual work satisfactorily executed and measured under the respective measurable work items of this Schedule, at the accepted rates. The cost of deployment of the prescribed maintenance gang and all associated expenditure shall be deemed to be included in the rates quoted against the respective measurable work items. No separate payment, compensation or claim on account of deployment of labour, idle labour, labour-hours, time spent or any other expenditure associated with the maintenance gang shall be admissible.(2) The deployed personnel shall report daily to the User's designated representative at the place and time specified by the User. The days and timings of deployment shall be as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge/User's authorised representative, having regard to the operational requirements of the Airfield Lighting System. Attendance shall be recorded/verified by the User's designated representative and shall form the basis for monitoring compliance with the deployment requirement. CONTD.......
2NOTES AND CONDITIONS (Contd...)(3) The prescribed maintenance gang shall be available on Sundays/holidays also, whenever specifically required by the Engineer-in-Charge/User's authorised representative, having regard to the operational requirements of the Airfield Lighting System. The Contractor shall make suitable arrangements for rotation/relievers, as necessary, to comply with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements relating to weekly rest/holidays, while maintaining the prescribed minimum strength of the maintenance gang whenever required. No separate payment shall be admissible for such rotation, relievers, overtime, weekly holiday/holiday working or any other expenditure on this account.(4) The Contractor shall also arrange for immediate attendance to urgent AFLS defects when specifically called for outside the normal working hours or during nights by the Engineer-in-Charge/User's authorised representative, particularly where the defect affects operational availability of the AFLS.(5) The Contractor shall ensure prompt attendance to all defects/notified deficiencies in the AFLS and shall undertake the required repair/maintenance work without undue delay. No laxity or avoidable delay in attending to or rectifying notified defects shall be admissible.(6) In the event of absence, late reporting, unauthorised departure or inability of any deployed personnel to attend duty, the Contractor shall provide a suitable replacement forthwith, and in any case within the time stipulated by the Engineer-in-Charge/User's authorised representative, so that the prescribed minimum strength of the maintenance gang is maintained without interruption.
