Backfilling operations consist of supplying and compacting approved sandy material behind the abutments, wing walls, and return walls. Drainage works include installing a granular crushed aggregate filter media layer to a minimum thickness of 600 mm, together with a network of weep holes utilizing 100 mm diameter AC pipes extending through the full width of the structures and laid at a 1:20 slope toward the drawing face. All works must be executed complete in all respects, including all labor, materials, tools, plant, and incidentals, conforming strictly to the project drawings and standard technical specifications. |
