Kangra Hp. 1 Cleaning Of Sheds/Premises/Drains: There Are 8 No. Of Sheds At Jersey Cattle Breeding Farm, Palampur. The Animals Are Housed In Separate Shed Having Covered And Open Area (Loafing Area). Since All Sheds Are Made Of Concrete And Are Required To Be Washed/Cleaned Daily Along With Water Troughs And Mangers And Dung To Be Lifted Twice Daily. Water Troughs & Mangers Of All Sheds Are To Be Disinfected With Lime On Regular Basis. All Drains Are To Be Cleaned & Disinfected Daily. The Feed/ Ration From Feed Store To Sheds Is To Be Lifted And Fed Daily As Per Schedule. To Maintain The Hygienic Conditions In The Sheds, They Are To Be Coated With Lime On Wall At Least Once In Six Months And Flooring Is To Be Bleached Regularly To Avoid Growth Of Mould And Use Of Blow Lamps At Least Once In Six Months. The Above Work(S) Are To Be Accomplished To The Satisfaction Of The Officer In-Charge. 2 Milking Of Cows- All The Animals In Milk Are To Be Milked Twice Daily As Per Farm Routine And Schedule .The Officer Incharge Will Ensure Complete Milking, Strict Hygiene Practices To Be Followed By Milkers Pre And Post Milking, Cleaning Of Milking Utensils And Equipments. The Milkers Will Also Feed New Born Calves As Per Farm Schedule Twice A Day And Assist Farm Officials In Daily Sale And Disposal Of Milk. 3 Agriculture Work In 07 Hectare Land : In Approximately 07 Hectare Land. The Requisite Job Is Daily Harvesting Of Fodder @ 8-10 Quintals/Day (Depending Upon The Availability Of Fodder) And Its Transportation From Fields To Chaff-Cutter. Cleaning Of Fields, Removal Of Unwanted Bushes/Weeds, Seasonal Lopping Of Fodder Trees, Irrigation And Sowing Of Seasonal Crops, Weeding & Fertilizer Application. The Above Work(S) Are To Be Accomplished To The Satisfaction Of The Officer Incharge. 4 Seasonal Work In 7 Hectare Of Land: This Work Is To Be Done On Need Basis For Regular Availability Of Green Fodder And Optimum Nutrition To Farm Animals. This Work Is Seasonal In Nature And Is Undertaken Once In A Year And Involves The Cleaning Of Entire Campus Of Jersey Cattle Breeding Farm, Palampur. Removal Of Unwanted Bushes, Shrubs And Weeds (Congress Grass, Lantana Etc.) And Destroying Them By Burning. Uprooting Of Khar/ Sarar (Local Grass) And Destroying By Burning. Harvesting Of Hay/Dry Fodder, Making Bundles And Keeping/Storing Them In The Hay Store. Transportation Of Farmyard Manure From Cow Shed Premises To The Fields In Departmental Tractor. The Above Work(S) Are To Be Accomplished To The Satisfaction Of Officer Incharge. Any Other Work Assigned By Officer Incharge.
