| 34 | Construction of a Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) Retaining Wall for bridge and road projects under the PMGSY-III scheme. The work includes setting out, clearing, and executing structural earthwork excavation up to a 3-metre depth in all types of strata—including ordinary soil, ordinary rock, and hard rock requiring blasting—along with necessary shoring, bracing, dressing of sides/bottoms, and disposal of surplus material within a 50-metre lead. Foundation works involve providing and laying M150 grade plain/reinforced cement concrete for open foundations, alongside supplying, bending, fitting, and placing high-strength TMT Fe 500 D steel bar reinforcement. Superstructure works comprise providing and laying high-grade M35 reinforced cement concrete (RCC) for the base raft and wall stem components to achieve a total wall height (H) of 5.5 metres as per technical drawings. Backfilling operations consist of supplying and compacting approved sandy material behind the abutments, wing walls, and return walls. Drainage works include installing a granular crushed aggregate filter media layer to a minimum thickness of 600 mm, together with a network of weep holes utilizing 100 mm diameter AC pipes extending through the full width of the structures and laid at a 1:20 slope toward the drawing face. All works must be executed complete in all respects, including all labor, materials, tools, plant, and incidentals, conforming strictly to the project drawings and standard technical specifications. |
