| 1 | Material and Labour for preparing decorated of old surfaces of ceilings including cornices and applying one coats of white wash by making the lime slaked at site and shall be mixed and stirred with about five liters of water for 1 kg of unslaked lime to make a thin cream. This shall be allowed to stand for a period of 24 hours and shall then be screened through clean coarse cloth. 1 kg of gum dissolved in hot water shall be added to every one cubic meter of lime cream. About 1.3 Kg of sodium chloride dissolved in hot water shall also be added for every 10 kg of lime for making the coating hard and rub-resistant. Small quantity of ultramarine blue (upto 3 gm per kg of lime) shall also be added to the of white wash solution and the whole solution shall be stirred thoroughly before use complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 2 | Material and labour for preparation of old decorated surfaces ( plastered / unplastered) of walls / pillars / cornices by removing / scraping down all loose particle, smoke soot, moulds, moss & efflorescent salts, oil & greasy spots etc. with using broom / steel patti / wire brush / sand papering or by any other mean, including applying 3mm white cement based wall care putty make as approved by GE where required for filling to depressions / nail holes / light cracks etc. and to make the surface even and smooth and also using sander machine (with provision of dust sucking) on uneven surface to make the surface even and smooth (before and after applying putty as per site situation) upto entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge, and after preparing the surface smooth applying one coat of oil bound distemper (washable) by using paint brush or roller brush, as per existing or as approved tint/colour complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
