Name of Work:- Construction of a new playground with enclosures comprising structural steel supporting framework and High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) netting all around it in the existing open ground area at the North-West corner of the Banks Staff Quarters Premises at Char Imli.

1Earthwork excavation in foundation for footings of concrete pedestals (28 Nos having dimensions of 0.60 m × 0.60 m × 0.90 m) and retaining walls (having width of 0.45 m and depth of 0.60 m on the perimeter of the proposed playground, in all kinds of soil including disintegrated rocks / soling / pebbles, including dressing of sides, ramming of bottom and shifting and re-filling the excavated earth on the sides of the footings / foundations / inside the retaining walls etc., complete:Earthwork excavation in all kinds of soil including Moorrum, rubbles, boulders etc., up to a depth of 0.90 m below ground level, for making 28 Nos foundation pits of size 0.60 m × 0.60 m x 0.90 below ground level, along the perimeter of the playground at a spacing of 5.00 m c/c, manually or using mechanical excavators (JCBs / Poclains as per requirements at site), including dressing of the sides, ramming of the bottom, necessary shoring, strutting, dewatering etc., if required as per site conditions, stacking the excavated materials at location(s) shown by the Bank's Engineer in the vicinity, within 50 m in the colony premises, from the periphery of the pits, refilling the excavated earth including all leads & lifts etc., as directed by the Bank's Engineer.
2Providing and laying Plain Cement Concrete (P.C.C) of M-10 grade (1:4:8), for a compacted thickness of 15 Cm, in the foundation pits for footings of concrete pedestals having dimensions 0.60 m × 0.60 m and foundation trenches of retaining walls having width of 0.45 m, including centering, shuttering, compacting and curing, complete:Providing, hand batching, mixing by hand / manually operated / mechanical mixers, laying, spreading, levelling and compacting using hand rammers / mechanical vibrators / rammers, P.C.C. 1:4:8 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand : 8 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size), using approved make portland cement, 40 mm and down size graded hard stone coarse aggregates and coarse sand etc., all of approved quality, for a compacted thickness of 0.15 m, including necessary shuttering, curing etc., as levelling course / bedding in the foundation pits / trenches, excavated as per item No. 1 above, all as directed by the Bank's Engineer.
3Providing and laying Plain Cement Concrete of M-20 grade (nominal mix 1:1.5:3) in footings of concrete pedestals having dimensions of 0.60 m × 0.60 m × 0.75 m and concrete pedestals having dimensions of 0.23 x 0.23 x 0.75 m encasing the M.S posts, including centering, shuttering, compacting and curing, complete:Providing, hand batching, mixing by hand / manually operated / mechanical mixers, laying in layers and compacting using needle vibrators / hand rammers, plain cement concrete 1:1.5:3 (1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand : 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size), made using approved make portland cement and approved quality coarse sand & graded hard stone aggregates, in footings of concrete pedestals having dimensions of 0.60 m × 0.60 m × 0.75 m and concrete pedestals having dimensions of 0.23 x 0.23 x 0.75 m encasing the M.S posts, including necessary formwork / shuttering, proper curing, disposing and carting away the debris from the colony premises etc., complete as directed by the Bank's Engineer.
4Providing, cutting, straightening, bending, tying and placing in position 10 mm diameter, Fe-550 D grade TMT bars as reinforcements to the R.C.C cricket pitch:Providing, cutting, straightening, bending, tying using 18 SWG G.I binding wires and placing in position reinforcement mesh using 10 mm diameter ISI marked Fe-550 D grade TMT bars of approved make at a spacing of 150 mm c/c both ways, cut to the required lengths, straightening, bending and ensuring proper cover of not less than 50 mm to the reinforcement by providing and fixing by tying P.C.C cover blocks having grooves, to the reinforcement bars at a spacing not exceeding 600 mm c/c etc., complete as directed by the Bank’s Engineer, as reinforcement for the R.C.C cricket pitch. The rate shall include cost of G. I. binding wire and wastages. Authorized laps shall be measured and paid for. The rate shall include thoroughly cleaning and watering of the surface of the sub-base filling, over which the reinforcement mesh is to be placed, using wire brush / brooms, etc., before placing the rebar mesh in position.
5Providing and constructing brickwork in cement mortar 1:6 (1 cement: 6 coarse sand) with kiln-burnt bricks of class designation 7.5, in full-brick-thick (0.23 m) for peripheral retaining walls having 1.20 m height (0.45 m below existing ground level + 0.75 m above existing ground level), over P.C.C. bed in trenches:Providing and constructing 230 mm (full-brick) thick brickwork in cement mortar 1:6 using common burnt clay F.P.S. (non-modular) bricks of class designation 7.5, in cement mortar 1:6 (1 cement : 6 coarse sand), made by hand batching & mixing by hand or mechanical mixers, using approved quality coarse sand and approved make portland cement, as retaining walls between the concrete pedestals along the periphery of the playground having, 1.10 m height (0.45 m below existing ground level + 0.75 m above existing ground level, over the P.C.C. bed laid as per item No. 2 & 3 above, including, curing, raking out the joints, cleaning, disposing and carting away the debris from the colony premises etc., complete as directed by the Bank's Engineer.
6Providing and rendering cement plaster in C.M 1:4 (sand-cast finish) on the surfaces of the brick masonry retaining walls / concrete pedestals on the periphery of the playground:Preparing the exposed surfaces of the brick masonry retaining walls and concrete pedestals, constructed as per item No. 3 & 4 above by raking up and removing the loose mortar / concrete on the walls / R.C.C members, wetting with good quality water, providing and rendering cement plaster with cement mortar - CM 1:4, prepared by hand batching and mixing, using approved quality river sand and approved make Portland Cement, in line, level and plumb to get sand cast finish, for an average thickness of up to 20 mm. Necessary curing, cleaning, disposing the dust / debris generated from the work and carting away the same from the Banks premises, cleaning of the surfaces stained / affected during execution of the item etc., are also included in the scope of the work.
7Earthwork in filling using selected earth / Moorrum / Khopra for forming the glacis (embankment) along the outer periphery of the retaining walls, 0.60 m high at 1:2 (V:H) slope (Cross-sectional area of triangular shaped glacis (embankment) having cross sectional area of 0.36 Sqm), including wrapping around the four corners, spreading, dressing to profile, watering, compacting etc. complete: Supplying, shifting, laying, levelling / forming glacis (embankment) on the outer periphery of the retaining walls on the periphery of the playground, including wrapping around the four corners, by depositing, spreading and compacting earth in multiple layers of thickness not exceeding 0.15 m each, including breaking of clods, watering and compacting each layer using water, crowbars, hand rammers etc., and dressing the sloping face neatly to the required profile of 0.60 m height at 1:2 (vertical : horizontal) slope, including all leads & lifts etc., complete as directed by the Bank's Engineer.
8Providing and laying sub-surface drainage system using 100 mm diameter perforated P.V.C. pipes in herringbone pattern within the Moorrum sub-base, wrapped in geotextile filter fabric and surrounded by graded gravel, leading to the disposal point(s), including excavation, laying, jointing and connections, complete:Providing, cutting to the required lengths and laying approved quality & make, 100 mm diameter perforated rigid (Unplasticised) P.V.C. pipes, including necessary fittings / specials, in herringbone pattern within the sub-base earth / Moorrum filling inside the retaining walls on the periphery of the playground, each pipe wrapped all-round with approved quality non-woven geotextile filter fabric, laid to proper and sufficient gradient towards the disposal point, including excavation of trenches having average cross-sectional dimensions on 300 mm x 300 mm in the sub-base, jointing with approved make fittings / specials, filling approved quality gravel around the outer periphery of the pipes for a thickness of not less than 75 mm and remaining portion of the trenches with the excavated earth after laying of the pipes, including watering and compacting the same, disposing the surplus earth, making the connections, testing the joints & gradient, making good the surface of the earth filling etc., complete as directed by the Bank's Engineer.
9Providing, cutting and fixing 8 mm thick M.S. base plates having dimensions of 300 mm x 300 mm at bottom (28 Nos.), end plates having dimensions of 110 mm x 110 mm at top (28 Nos.) and lap plates having 90 mm x 300 mm at the joints (4 Nos for each joint, i.e. total 112 Nos) and 50 mm x 50 mm x 5 mm Mild Steel (M.S) equal angles for a length of 50 mm as cleats (232 Nos.), welded to the M.S posts:Providing, machine cutting to the required sizes and fixing approved quality and make (Tata, SAIL, Jindal, JSW, VIZAG or approved equivalent) Mild Steel (M.S) plates having 8 mm thickness, as base plates, top end plate and lap plates (01 No. of 300 mm x 300 mm base plate for each vertical post, 01 No. of 110 mm x 110 mm top end plate for each vertical post and 4 Nos. of 90 mm x 300 mm for lap plates for each joint of the post) to the bottom / top ends and vertical sides at the joints of the Mild Steel (M.S) hollow-section posts to be erected as per item No. 9 below and 50 mm x 50 mm x 5 mm Mild Steel (M.S) equal angles for a length of 50 mm as cleats at each joint between the horizontal bracings / trusses and vertical posts, by electric arc run-welding at each joints / edges using approved quality and make welding electrodes, the base plates being embedded / encased in the M-20 foundation concrete to be laid as per item No. 3 above, including grinding & finishing the edges & welds, providing and applying a priming coat of approved make Zinc Chromate primer after preparing the surfaces by removal of the mill / weld scales, oil & grease and any other foreign matter, filling and levelling of the joints with approved quality and make metal putty etc., complete as directed by the Bank's Engineer. The quantity shall be arrived at measuring the actual sizes and the actual or theoretical sectional weights, whichever is less. No wastages shall be considered while arriving at the quantities.
10Providing, fabricating and erecting structural steel supporting framework using Mild Steel (M.S) square hollow section having cross-sectional dimensions of 100 mm × 100 mm × 4 mm @ 11.73 Kg / m for posts (28 Nos.) at 5.00 m c/c along the periphery of the playground - height 8.00 m above finished top level of the retaining walls and 80 mm × 40 mm × 2.9 mm @ 5.03 Kg / m as horizontal bracings between M.S posts at 4 levels (top, bottom and 2 intermediate), along the periphery of the playground including cutting, straightening, fabrication by electric arc welding, hoisting, fixing in position and a coat of primer etc., complete:Providing, machine cutting to the required sizes, straightening, fabricating, hoisting and erecting hollow Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) Mild Steel (M.S) square / rectangular tubular sections, of approved make (APL Apollo, JSW, Jindal, Tata, SAIL or approved equivalent) - square sections having cross-sectional dimensions of 100 mm × 100 mm × 4 mm @ 11.73 Kg / m for vertical posts (28 Nos.), each having 9.50 m height (8.00 m above the finished top level of the retaining walls + 0.60 m through the concrete pedestal + 0.75 m embedded in the concrete footing) at 5.00 m c/c along the periphery of the playground and rectangular sections having cross-sectional dimensions of 80 mm × 40 mm × 2.9 mm @ 5.03 Kg / m as horizontal bracings between M.S posts at 4 levels (top, bottom and 2 intermediate), along the periphery of the playground, fabricated by electric arc run-welding using approved quality and make welding electrodes at joints, the open top ends closed by providing and welding M.S. plates / sheets of 4 mm thickness, machine cut to the size of the open ends. The rate shall include the cost of all materials including wastages, labour, transport, cost of plants & machines including hoists, providing and erecting necessary scaffolding & staging required for safely working at height including dismantling, removing and taking away the same after successful completion of the work, thoroughly cleaning the spilled paint / stains etc., complete and providing and applying a priming coat of approved make Zinc Chromate primer, after preparing the exposed surfaces by removal of the mill / weld scales / extra weld, oil & grease and any other foreign matter, filling and levelling of the joints with approved quality and make metal putty etc., complete as directed by the Bank's Engineer. The quantity shall be arrived at measuring the actual sizes and the actual or theoretical sectional weights, whichever is less. No wastages shall be considered while arriving at the quantities.
11Providing, fabricating and erecting ladder-type trusses fabricated using Mild Streel (M.S), rectangular, hollow tubular sections having cross-sectional dimensions of 80 mm × 40 mm × 2.90 mm @ 5.03 Kg / m, 5 Nos. spanning across the shorter direction (19.92 m span × 0.30 m depth) at 5.00 m c/c, with top chord, bottom chord and 21 Nos of vertical webs members for each truss at 1.00 m c/c, including cutting, welding, hoisting, fixing in position and a coat of primer, complete:Providing, cutting, straightening, fabricating, hoisting and erecting 5 numbers of ladder-type trusses using Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) Mild Steel (M.S) rectangular hollow sections of approved make (APL Apollo, JSW, Jindal, Tata, SAIL or approved equivalent), having cross-sectional dimensions of 80 mm × 40 mm × 2.90 mm @ 5.03 Kg/m, spanning across the shorter side (19.92 m span × 0.30 m depth) of the playground at 5.00 m c/c, with top chord, bottom chord and 21 Nos of vertical web members at 1.00 m c/c for each truss and fastened at the ends to alterne pairs of vertical posts to be erected at 5.00 m c/c as per item No. 9 above, to support the netting at the top / roof. The trusses shall be fabricated by electric arc run welding using approved quality and make welding electrodes at joints, hoisted, erected true to plumb, line and level in position, so that the top level of the trusses are in line with the top end of the vertical posts. The trusses shall be fastened to the vertical posts using 2 Nos of 200 mm x 16 mm Galvanized Iron (G.I) bolts for each end, including machine drilling holes on the vertical posts and the end vertical web members of the trusses. The trusses shall be fabricated by electric arc run welding using approved quality and make welding electrodes at joints. The scope of the item shall the cost of all materials including wastages, labour, transport, cost of plants & machines including hoists, providing and erecting necessary scaffolding & staging required for safely working at height including dismantling, removing and taking away the same after successful completion of the work, thoroughly cleaning the spilled paint / stains etc., complete and providing and applying a coat of approved make Zinc Chromate primer, after preparing the exposed surfaces by removal of the mill / weld scales / extra weld, oil & grease and any other foreign matter, filling and levelling of the joints with approved quality and make metal putty etc., complete as directed by the Bank's Engineer. 12Supplying, shifting, filling / laying, spreading, levelling / grading and compacting Moorrum / Khopra / soil on the top of the earth / stone soling sub-base filling inside the retaining walls on the periphery of the playground:Supplying, unloading, stacking at location(s) shown by the Bank's Engineer, within the Staff Quarters Premises, shifting to the required locations in the playground area, filling / laying, spreading, levelling and compacting, approved quality Moorrum / Khopra / soil on the top of the earth / stone soling sub-base filling inside the retaining walls on the periphery of the playground, in in layers of average compacted thickness of 15 Cm. The layer of Moorrum / Khopra / soil shall be compacted using mechanical rollers after saturating with water. Quantity shall be worked out by measurement in the truck before unloading at site.
13Supplying, shifting, filling / laying, spreading, levelling / grading approved quality Red Earth / Soil, suitable for gardening on the top of the Moorrum / Khopra / soil base filling inside the retaining walls on the periphery of the playground:Supplying, unloading, stacking at location(s) shown by the Bank's Engineer, within the Staff Quarters Premises, shifting to the required locations inside the playground area, filling, spreading and levelling, approved quality Red Earth / Soil, suitable for gardening and free from Kanker, Moorrum, Shingle, rocks, stones, brick bats, construction debris, lumps and any other foreign matter etc., on the top of the Moorrum / Khopra / soil base filling as per item No. 11 above, as directed by Bank's Engineer. Quantity shall be worked out by measurement in the truck before unloading at site.
14Supplying, shifting, filling / laying, spreading, levelling / grading approved quality well decomposed, odourless cow dung / organic manure, suitable for gardening on the top of the Moorrum / Khopra / soil base filling inside the retaining walls on the periphery of the playground:Supplying, unloading, stacking at location(s) shown by the Bank's Engineer, within the Staff Quarters Premises, shifting to the required locations inside the playground area, filling, spreading and levelling, approved quality, well decomposed, odourless cow dung / organic manure, suitable for gardening and free from weed seeds, stones, brick bats, debris, lumps and pathogens, with a moisture content below 20 to 30 %, construction debris, lumps and any other foreign matter etc., on the top of the Moorrum / Khopra / soil base filling as per item No. 11 above, as directed by Bank's Engineer. Quantity shall be worked out by measurement in the truck before unloading at site.
15Providing and laying well grown / developed and fresh natural grass sods / turf / carpet / rolls of approved variety (Bermuda / Selection-1) over the prepared garden earth & manure mix laid as per item No. 13 above: Providing and laying approved variety (Bermuda / Selection-1) natural grass turf rolls / sods of uniform thickness, free seeds of weeds, over the prepared garden earth / manure mixed topsoil bed, laid with staggered close joints without gaps, over the entire playground area of 49.25 m × 50.00 m excluding the central 22.00 m × 3.00 m pitch-mat zone, including fine dressing of the bed, final levelling, light rolling / tamping, initial watering, top dressing with screened soil / manure and maintenance watering till establishment of the grass etc., complete as directed by the Bank's Engineer.
16Supplying, cutting to the required sizes, joining and fixing approved quality and make Ultraviolet (U.V) stabilized High Density Polyethylene (H.D.P.E), woven net, made of 1.5 mm twine size and 50 mm × 50 mm mesh size:Supplying, cutting to the required sizes, joining with and fixing approved quality and make Ultraviolet (U.V) stabilized High Density Polyethylene (H.D.P.E) / Nylon, woven net, made of 1.5 mm twine size and 50 mm × 50 mm mesh size (openings). The net shall be tightly tied / fastened to the supporting structures, erected as per item No. 8, 9 & 10 above on the periphery & top and the retaining wall at bottom, using High Density Polyethylene (H.D.P.E) / Nylon ropes, with intermediate of appropriate nylon rope of appropriate type & diameter and G.I. / support wires, turnbuckles, fasteners, cleats to avoid any sagging / waviness / movement of the net and ensure tightness of the net. The scope of the item shall include stitching / lacing the panel joints with High Density Polyethylene (H.D.P.E) / Nylon twine and tensioning the net evenly, without sags etc., complete as directed by the Bank's Engineer.
17Providing and applying two or more coats of Synthetic Enamel Paint over one coat of Zinc Chromate primer on the exposed surfaces of the M.S. framework (columns, perimeter runners and trusses), including surface preparation and cleaning, complete:Suitably preparing the metallic surfaces of the Mild Steel (M.S) members of the supporting structure erected as per item No. 8, 9 & 10 above, by removing the loose primer, rust / mill scales, sand papering, filling of irregularities / crevices / undulations with approved quality and make metallic / N.C. putty / metal paste and making the surfaces smooth by sand papering, dusting etc., and providing and applying two or more coats of approved quality, make and shade Synthetic Enamel Paint over one coat of approved make Zinc Chromate primer, as per the standard specifications of the Bank, the manufacturer's specifications. The scope of the item shall also include providing and erecting necessary scaffolding & staging required for safely working at height including dismantling, removing and taking away the same after successful completion of the work, thoroughly cleaning the spilled paint / stains etc., as directed by the Bank’s Engineer.
18Supplying and laying coir / synthetic cricket pitch mat of approved make over the R.C.C. pitch strip (22.00 m × 3.00 m), laid flush / in level with the surrounding grass surface, including fixing battens, anchoring and tensioning, complete.:Supplying and laying approved quality and make coir / synthetic cricket pitch mat over the R.C.C. pitch strip laid under item No. 3 above, stretched taut and laid flush / in level with the surrounding grass surface, including providing and fixing the necessary battens and anchor fasteners along the edges, anchoring and tensioning the mat evenly without wrinkles or sags etc., complete as directed by the Bank's Engineer.
