Name of Work:- REPAIRS/ MAINTENANCE TO COMPOUND WALL, PARKING SHEDS, ROLLING SHUTTERS, GARAGE GATES, STEEL GATE, STAIRCASE RAILING, STEEL LADDER OF CERTAIN MD ACCN/ OTM ACCN AT SITE A1 OF NAVAL BASE AREA KARWAR

3M&L for providing precast cement concrete block masonry with solid blocks exceeding 10 cm width, type C-1 (1:3:6) using 20 mm graded aggregate and set in cement mortar (1:6), complete all as specified and directed.
4M&L for walling of random rubble masonry, uncoursed, well bonded, bedded and solidly hearted, built in cement mortar 1:6, complete all as specified and directed.
5M&L for walling of random rubble masonry, uncoursed, well bonded, bedded and solidly hearted, built in cement mortar 1:6, but excluding the cost of stones, complete all as specified and directed.
6M&L for flush pointing for random rubble masonry or concrete block walling in cement mortar 1:4, complete all as specified and directed.
7M&L for rendering 15 mm thick in cement mortar (1:4) on fair faces of concrete surfaces, finished even and smooth without using extra cement, including necessary scaffolding and safety measures, complete all as specified and directed.
8M&L for preparation of new plastered/decorated wall surfaces and applying two coats of acrylic emulsion exterior grade paint by using mechanical spray (maximum working pressure of 3300 PSI) over a coat of primer, including necessary scaffolding and safety measures, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
9Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) in ground floors and pavings not exceeding 15 cm thickness, below or above ground level, complete all as specified and as directed.
10M&L for plain cement concrete (1:4:8), type D-2, using 40 mm graded stone aggregate, as in foundations and mass concrete, complete all as specified and directed.
11M&L for 75 mm thick PCC (1:3:6), type C-2, using 40 mm graded stone aggregate, as in hardstanding/plinth protection, finished even and smooth without using extra cement, complete all as specified and directed.
12Dismantling of wrought iron or mild steel work of any description, not otherwise provided for, complete all as specified and as directed.
13S&F rolled mild steel roof trusses (framed) including trusses, purlins, rails, fastenings and heavy brackets, framing (beams, tees, angles, channels or flat sections), including distance pieces, cleats etc., conforming to Fe-290 (Grade E-165), complete all as specified and directed.
14S&F framed work as in doors or gates of angle or other sections with gusset plates, rails, braces etc., complete, drilled for fixing of steel sheeting or other covering; doors prepared for hanging or sliding with and including hooks and hinges or steel hanging door fittings (excluding steel sheeting or other covering, running rails and guides), including hanging, fastening and fixing, conforming to Fe-410-W (Grade E-250), complete all as specified and directed.
15S&F for providing and fixing stainless steel (Grade 304) railing made of hollow tubes, channels, plates etc., including welding, grinding, buffing, polishing and making curvature (wherever required), and fitting with necessary stainless steel nuts and bolts, complete, including fixing the railing with necessary accessories and stainless steel dash fasteners, stainless steel bolts etc., of required size, on the top of floor or the side of waist slab with suitable arrangement, complete all as specified and directed.
16M&L for preparing new steel surfaces of any description exceeding 10 cm in width or girth, and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint by using mechanical spray (maximum working pressure of 3300 PSI) over one coat of red oxide zinc chromate primer, complete all as specified and directed.
17S&F in repair aluminium powder coated frames (minimum powder coating thickness 50 microns) for doors, windows, ventilators with one or more rebates, including joining cleats for fixing, complete all as specified and directed.
18S&F aluminium powder coated (minimum powder coating thickness 50 microns) window/ventilator shutters, sliding type without sash bars, aluminium sections weighing not less than 0.55 kg/m, including necessary jointing cleats, glazing clips, rubber/neoprene packing, aluminium snap beading, screws, etc., complete all as specified and directed.
19S&F anodised aluminium grills (anodised transparent or dyed to required shade as per IS: 1868 with minimum anodic coating of Grade AC-15), of approved design/pattern, with approved standard sections, fixed to existing window frames with chromium plated brass/stainless steel screws at 200 mm centres, including cutting grills to proper opening size for operation of handles and providing approved anodised aluminium standard section around the opening, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
20S&F in repairs aluminium alloy wire cloth, 0.45 mm nominal diameter of wire with average aperture width 1.40 mm, fixed with aluminium wire staples, complete all as specified and directed.
21Taking down rolling shutters of area exceeding 8 Sqm each but not exceeding 12 Sqm each, replacing worn out/unserviceable parts with new ones, overhauling, applying grease, refixing in position and making them functional including spray painting complete all as specified and directed.
22M&L for overhauling of rolling shutters of area not exceeding 8 Sqm each (without taking down from position but by opening the hood cover), applying grease for trouble-free operation, refixing the hood cover in position and making them functional including spray painting complete all as specified and directed.
23M&L for overhauling of rolling shutters of area exceeding 8 Sqm each but not exceeding 12 Sqm each (without taking down from position but by opening the hood cover), applying grease for trouble-free operation, refixing the hood cover in position and making them functional including spray painting complete all as specified and directed. Note for Item No. 20, 21, 22 & 23: Replacement of parts will be measured and paid for seperately in respective items.
24S&F in repairs mild steel worn wheels and gear wheels, fitted to suspension shaft of the rolling shutter and connecting rod respectively, complete all as specified and directed.Note: Suspension shaft and connecting rod will be measured and paid for separately under respective items.
25S&F in repairs bevel gear box with crank handle, fitted to connecting rod, complete all as specified and directed.Note: Connecting rod will be measured and paid for separately under respective items.
26S&F in repairs 25 mm dia mild steel connecting rod, fitted to gear wheel and bevel gear, complete all as specified and directed.
27S&F in repairs fabricated lock plate of riveted construction, made of mild steel sheet 3.15 mm thick and 100 mm wide, reinforced with mild steel angle of size 40 mm × 40 mm × 6 mm at top and bottom, interlocked with the bottom-most lath section of curtain, complete all as specified and directed.
28S&F in repairs lath section, made from cold-rolled steel strips 1.20 mm thick, with interlocking curls at both edges and a deep corrugation at the centre with a bridge depth not less than 12 mm; each lath section shall be a continuous single piece without any welding joint, complete all as specified and directed.
29All as per Item No. 28 above, but 0.90 mm thick lath section, complete all as specified and directed.
30S&F in repairs mild steel clips, riveted at either ends and fitted on ends of lath section, complete all as specified and directed.
31S&F in repairs mild steel flat iron 40 mm × 6 mm, as stiffeners in hood cover and stopper to arrest lock plate, including necessary welding etc., complete all as specified and directed.
32S&F in repairs mild steel guide channel, of size 65 mm depth, 25 mm width and 3.15 mm thick, including fixing of cleats or supports (not exceeding 750 mm c/c) for attachment to wall or column by means of bolts or screws, complete all as specified and directed.
33All as per Item No. 32 above, but guide channel of size 75 mm depth, 25 mm width and 3.15 mm thick, complete all as specified and directed.
34S&F in repairs mild steel bracket plate, 3.15 mm thick and area not exceeding 0.15 sqm in any shape, fixed to wall with holdfast of mild steel angle 40 mm × 40 mm × 6 mm, minimum 200 mm long from edge of bracket plate, embedded in PCC 1:2:4 type B1 bed block of size 250 mm × 200 mm × 200 mm, and fitted with guide channel by means of 20 mm square bar of suitable length, complete all as specified and directed.

47Taking down steel gates, each leaf area exceeding 1.5 sqm but not exceeding 4 sqm, with bed blocks, pintle hinges and holdfasts; rectifying defects such as straightening, welding etc., and refixing in position with provision of bed blocks, new/old pintle hinges and holdfasts as required, complete all as specified and directed. Note: Welding, bed blocks, pintle hinges and holdfasts will be measured and paid for separately under respective items.
48M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B1, using 20 mm graded stone aggregate, as in bed blocks, including necessary formwork for embedding holdfasts, complete all as specified and directed.
49S&F in repairs mild steel 0.63 mm thick plain black sheet in steel gates, cut to size, punched, including round-headed screws, clout nails or rivets, and fixed to steel frame with plain 40 mm lap joints with riveted or welded seams, including bending or turning up, mitred angles etc., complete all as specified and directed
50Dismantling of mild steel galvanised 2-strand steel barbed wire, 2.24 mm dia barbed wire with 2.00 mm dia barbs at 75 mm spacing, including removing rusted/unserviceable wire from site and keeping serviceable wire in safe custody for reuse, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
51S&F in repairs galvanised 2-strand steel barbed wire, 2.24 mm dia barbed wire with 2.00 mm dia barbs at 75 mm spacing, including straining and fixing to any type of standard posts/rails with straining bolts, securing or tying at crossings with galvanised mild steel wire, staples or steel pins etc., complete all as specified and directed.
52Providing and fixing in repair concertina coil fencing with punched tape barbed razor concertina coil of 600 mm dia, 10 m openable length (total 90 m), having 50 turns per 6 m length, fixed with existing angle iron ‘Y’ posts placed at 2.4 m to 3.0 m spacing and with 9 horizontal RBT (reinforced barbed tape) wires, tied with GI staples and GI clips to retain horizontals, including necessary bolts or GI barbed wire tied to angle iron, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge; with reinforced barbed tape (RBT)/spring core wire of 2.5 mm thick, high tensile strength 165 kg/sq mm, and tape 0.52 mm thick weighing 43.478 g/m.Note: Cost of MS angle and CC blocks shall be paid for separately.
53M&L for spot welding in repairs, exceeding 2.5 cm but not exceeding 5 cm in length, thickness of metal to be welded exceeding 6 mm but not exceeding 9 mm, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
54Taking down cement plaster on brick or stone walls, including raking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water etc., complete all as specified and directed.
55M&L for rendering 15 mm thick in cement mortar (1:4) on fair faces of brickwork or concrete surfaces, finished even and fair without using extra cement, complete all as specified and directed.
56M&L for applying two coats of 100% premium acrylic exterior emulsion paint using mechanical spray (maximum working pressure of 3300 PSI), having VOC less than 50 g/litre and UV resistance as per IS 15489:2004, with alkali, fungal and dirt resistance, of required shade (company depot tinted) with silicon additives @ 1.43 litre/10 sqm, over and including one coat of exterior primer applied @ 0.90 litre/10 sqm on new surfaces, complete all as specified and directed.
