The contractor shall make provision of steel scaffolding with all safety materials required to execute work etc as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 7 | Providing and applying two-component flexible acrylic cementitious waterproof coating using Dr. Fixit Pidifin 2K (K2) or equivalent approved waterproofing system on newly plastered internal surfaces of static water tank, including cleaning of surface from dust, dirt, laitance and other foreign matter, wetting the surface to SSD (Saturated Surface Dry) condition, mixing liquid polymer and powder components in manufacturer's recommended proportion to obtain a homogeneous lump-free slurry, applying first coat uniformly by brush/roller/trowel, allowing the coat to dry as per manufacturer's specifications and applying second coat in a direction perpendicular to the first coat to achieve the specified dry film thickness, complete with curing, protection and all labour, materials, tools, plant, testing and incidentals necessary for satisfactory completion of work, all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Rate shall include:(i) Surface cleaning and preparation. (ii) Wetting surface to SSD condition. (iii) Supply and application of two-component waterproof coating. (iv) Application of minimum two coats as per manufacturer's specification. (v) Curing and protection of treated surface. (vi) Water tightness testing after completion. (vii) All labour, materials, T&P, scaffolding and incidentals complete. |
| 8 | Term & Condition:1. Material Approval & Record(i) Waterproofing material (Dr. Fixit Pidifin 2K or approved equivalent) shall be brought to site in original sealed packing only.(ii) Batch No., Manufacturing Date and Quantity shall be recorded in the Material Register and verified by Engineer-in-Charge (EIC) before use.2. Submission of Invoices(i) Contractor shall submit original purchase invoices/challans of waterproofing material for verification before commencement of work.3. Issue and Consumption Register(i) A daily material consumption register shall be maintained by the contractor and jointly verified by the EIC/representative.(ii) Quantity consumed shall be correlated with the area treated as per manufacturer's coverage.4. No Use of Unapproved Material(i) Use of diluted, adulterated, expired or unapproved material shall not be permitted.(ii) Any such material found at site shall be removed immediately at contractor's cost.5. Joint Measurement Before Application(i) Internal surface area of tank proposed for treatment shall be jointly measured and recorded before commencement of work.(ii) Material consumption shall be checked against theoretical coverage.6. Stage-wise Inspection(i) Surface preparation, crack repairs, first coat, fibre mesh fixing and second coat application shall be offered for inspection at each stage.(ii) Subsequent stage shall not proceed without approval of EIC. |

Retention of Empty Containers(i)All empty liquid cans, powder bags and packing materials shall be stacked at site and produced to EIC for verification before disposal.(ii) Payment shall be considered only after verification of actual material consumption.8. Minimum Consumption Requirement(i) Waterproofing material shall be consumed strictly as per manufacturer's specifications and approved methodology.(ii) Any shortage in consumption compared to theoretical requirement shall be investigated and corresponding recovery made from contractor's bills.9. Photographic Evidence(i) Contractor shall submit geo-tagged photographs before commencement, during each stage and after completion of work.(ii) Photographs shall clearly show material containers, batch numbers and work progress.10. Water Tightness Test(i) After completion and curing, the tank shall be subjected to a water-tightness test for a minimum period of 72 hours or as directed by EIC.(ii) Any leakage/seepage observed shall be rectified by the contractor at his own cost.11. Payment Condition(i) Payment shall be made only after successful completion of waterproofing work, verification of material consumption, submission of invoices and successful water-tightness test. |

Defect Liability(i) Contractor shall provide a minimum 10 years guarantee/warranty against leakage, seepage and failure of waterproofing treatment.(ii) Any defect arising during the guarantee period shall be rectified by the contractor at no extra cost.13. Recovery for Short Consumption(i) In case actual consumption is found less than the specified manufacturer's recommended consumption, recovery shall be effected at market rate plus departmental charges from contractor's dues.14. Right of Rejection(i) The Engineer-in-Charge reserves the right to reject any work executed with insufficient material, improper workmanship or deviation from approved specifications, and the contractor shall redo the work at his own cost.15. Security of Material(i) Waterproofing material shall be stored in a locked location approved by EIC. Removal of unused material from site without written permission shall not be permitted. |
