| 4 | Earthwork in excavation of canal by Mechanical means in all kinds of soil including sand, silt, loam clay mud, stiff & hard clay, hard red earth, shale, stoney earth, gravel, moorum interspread with boulder upto 1/2 cum volume, soling of road, path etc. and hard core, water bound macadam, lean concrete, stone masonry in lime mortar or brick work in lime mortar or mud mortar below ground level and soft conglomerate rock where stone may be detached from fine matrix with pick axes and crow bars and generally any materials which is not offering resistance to digging greater than the hardness of any aforesaid soils including trimming the slopes & bed to proper profile and transporting useful excavated materials by mechanical means and laying on properly prepared and scientifically approved surface of bank of canal in filling section and levelling the earth in 22.5 cm thick to receive compaction and depositing the excavated unuseful materials away from work site as per the specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge within a lead of 3 km from the place of excavation soil as required with all leads, lifts, delifts, loading and unloading, including dewatering and maintenance of coffer dam, diversion arrangement for excess flow and the removal of the same after completion of the work including the cost of tools and plants, all materials, all taxes including labour cess with mobilization and demobilization and construction and maintenance charges with all incidental charges to complete the item of work as per design, drawing, specification and direction of the Engineer-in-charge. |
