(d) Supply and laying 3mm thick APP based polymeric membrane of approved manufactured with weight not less than 3.50 Kgs per Sqm reinforced with non-woven polyester fabric weighing not less than 160gms per Sqm having softening point not less than 15°C, having tensile strength of 650 N/Sqcm and 350 N/Sqcm in longitudinal and transverse directions respectively of the reinforced tearing strength of 180 N by torch application. Polymeric membrane shall be taken to a height of 30cm (minimum) and then inserted inside the groove of parapet wall and shall be finished by a membrane flashing. (e) Applying one coat of aluminium paint @ 0.11 Kg/Sgm over APP membrane surface. Note:- (i) Laying APP based polymeric membrane shall be done torch on method as per manufactures instructions.(ii) A minimum overlap of 150mm and 100mm should be made at the end and sides of the polymeric membrane respectively and sealed all overlaps and joints as per manufacturers instruction.(iii) APP based polymeric membrane shall be of any one of the approved makes as specified here-in-after and shall conform to specifications given in IS 16540-2017/1S 16532 2017.(iv) Contractor shall produce necessary test certificate of the manufacturer to the Engr-in-Charge before incorporation in the work. (v) Necessary independent tests shall also be carried out by the contractor without any extra cost to the Deptt as per relevant IS specifications and membranes with satisfactory test results shall only be incorporated in the work.(vi) The work shall be executed through authorised applicators of original manufacturer only.(viI) WPC shall bemeasured and paid separately as 'supply only'. |
