| 1 | M&L for APP-based modified pre-fabricated five-layer waterproofing membrane, 3 mm thick and weighing not less than 3.6 kg/m², reinforced with polyester non-woven fabric mat (160 g/m²), black finished. The surface shall be primed with compatible primer conforming to IS 3488 @ 0.30 L/m² and IS 17029 bonding material 85/25 bitumen @ 1.2 kg/m² before and after laying.The membrane shall be laid by torch method with side overlaps of 75 mm and longitudinal overlaps of 100 mm. At junctions of roof and parapet walls, a groove of 20 × 20 mm shall be provided at a height of 100 mm, into which the membrane shall be inserted and sealed with bituminous mastic. All overlaps/joints shall be sealed with hot 85/25 bitumen.Finally, two coats of waterproofing aluminium paint shall be applied over the APP membrane. Work to be executed as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge. |
