Name of Work:- SPECIAL REPAIRS OF SEWAGE LINE AND DRAIN PIPES AT MH AVADI, MAG NO 6 AND ARBORICULTURE AT MH AVADI UNDER GE AVADI
Sl. No. Item Description
1Opening and clearing blockage of kitchen trap, bath trap or WC of any pattern and in any position by rodding manually or mechanically up to the first manhole, complete all as specified and directed.
2Cleaning blocked manhole of any description and in any position not exceeding 1.50 m deep, manually or mechanically, by removing sludge, night soil, silt and other deposited materials from the existing manhole of any size, collecting and transporting the sludge in sealed containers and disposing of the same outside the Cantonment/MD land in such a manner that no nuisance or unhygienic condition is created, complete all as specified and directed.
3Taking out liquid sludge including floating sludge from septic tank of any description and in any position and cleaning the septic tank up to the bottom including walls to any depth from ground level by pumping through sewage disposal pump/honey sucker pump and removing the liquid sludge outside the MD land or into the nearest civil sewage manhole, ensuring that no nuisance or unhygienic condition is created, complete all as specified and directed. Note: Pump, honey sucker pump, sludge removal vehicle and all associated equipment shall be arranged by the Contractor at his own cost and nothing extra shall be paid by the Department.
4Taking out sedimented sludge remaining after removal of liquid sludge/effluent from septic tank of any description, in any position and at any depth, cleaning the septic tank up to the bottom including walls, removing and disposing of the sedimented/solid sludge outside the MD land as Contractor's property in accordance with the Schedule of Credit, ensuring that no nuisance or unhygienic condition is created, complete all as specified and directed. Note: Pump, honey sucker pump, sludge removal vehicle and all associated equipment shall be arranged by the Contractor at his own cost and nothing extra shall be paid by the Department.
5Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) of any description and in any position in ground floors/paving not exceeding 150 mm thick (below or above ground level) and disposing of the debris outside the premises of the Cantonment/MD land, complete all as specified and directed.
6M&L for PCC 1:4:8, Type D-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in foundations, manholes, mass concrete and the like, complete all as specified and directed.
7Demolition of brickwork or stone/boulder masonry built in cement mortar including quoins, arches, pillars and the like, but excluding ashlar facing, dressed stonework and precast concrete articles, and disposing of the debris outside the premises of the Cantonment/MD land, complete all as specified and directed.
8M&L for modular brick masonry using fly ash bricks, built in cement mortar 1:6, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 m mean radius, complete all as specified and directed.
9M&L for PCC 1:3:6, Type C-1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) as in coping, finishing exposed surfaces fair and smooth with extra cement, including necessary formwork, complete all as specified and directed.
10M&L for PCC 1:2:4, Type B-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in benching of manholes and surface channels, including fair finish to exposed surfaces, chamfering, throating, weathering and necessary formwork, complete all as specified and directed.
11M&L for 15 mm thick cement plaster in CM 1:4 on concrete or fair faces of block masonry including mixing approved liquid waterproofing compound in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, complete all as specified and directed. Note: Liquid waterproofing compound shall be measured and paid for separately under the appropriate item of Schedule 'A' as supply only.
12Supply only liquid water proofing compound complete all as specified and directed.
13Demolition of reinforced cement concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for, and M&L for precast RCC 1:2:4, Type B-1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) in landings, cover slabs for manholes, chullah hoods, chajjas, water troughs, mangers, shelves and similar articles with plain faces, including placing in position and bedding in CM 1:4, complete all as specified and directed.
14M&L for TMT steel bars 10 mm dia and over as reinforcement, cut to length, bent to shape, including cranking, bending, binding with annealed mild steel binding wire not less than 0.90 mm dia, complete all as specified and directed.
15M&L for cutting into existing manholes for connecting new drain pipes, making good to pipe and rendering, cutting existing benching and forming branch channel (half-round or three-quarter section) in PCC 1:2:4, Type B-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate), finished smooth, reforming benching as required for 150 mm dia drain pipe, complete all as specified and directed.
16Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.50 m wide and not exceeding 1.50 m deep for foundations or for laying/taking down water supply or sewer lines, forming bottom to the required level, slope and gradient, not exceeding 10 sq m on plan, getting out in hard/dense soil, complete all as specified and directed.
17Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.50 m wide and exceeding 1.50 m but not exceeding 3.00 m deep for foundations or for laying/taking down water supply or sewer lines, forming bottom to the required level, slope and gradient, not exceeding 10 sq m on plan, getting out in hard/dense soil, complete all as specified and directed.
18Demolition and breaking up existing 150 mm dia salt-glazed stoneware, asbestos cement or reinforced cement concrete drain pipes of any description and in any position, set and jointed in cement mortar, and supplying, laying, jointing, testing and commissioning 150 mm dia NP-2 class reinforced cement concrete drain pipes with collars jointed in cement mortar 1:1, complete all as specified and directed.
19M&L for concrete bed to 150 mm dia drain pipes in PCC 1:4:8, Type D-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate), including packing under and haunching to the sides of the pipes after laying and testing, complete all as specified and directed.
20Demolition and breaking up existing 200 mm dia salt-glazed stoneware, asbestos cement or reinforced cement concrete drain pipes of any description and in any position, set and jointed in cement mortar, and supplying, laying, jointing, testing and commissioning 200 mm dia NP-2 class reinforced cement concrete drain pipes with collars jointed in cement mortar 1:1, complete all as specified and directed.
21M&L for concrete bed to 200 mm dia drain pipes in PCC 1:4:8, Type D-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate), including packing under and haunching to the sides of the pipes after laying and testing, complete all as specified and directed.
22Returning, filling in excavated soil including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 250 mm thick, complete all as specified and directed.

32Surface excavation not exceeding 300 mm deep and averaging not exceeding 150 mm deep in hard/dense soil, including getting out and disposing of excavated material to a distance not exceeding 50 m, filling with 150 mm thick layer of approved red earth mixed with farmyard manure, treating the soil with approved pesticides and insecticides, including Bavistin, Neem Cake, BHC 10% dust, Lindane dust, Thimet, Phorate and compost manure, including loading, unloading, transportation and stacking at site. The compost shall be of uniform texture, relatively dry, dark brown or black in colour, free from offensive odour and shall consist of nutrient-rich organic manure obtained by biological decomposition of vegetative waste and livestock manure. The item includes laying approved quality ready-made turf of Bermuda Grass (Cynodon dactylon) / Buffalo Grass (Stenotaphrum secundatum) / Korean Lawn Grass (Zoysia japonica) / Doob Grass, laid side by side without undulations or depressions, watering, rolling and ramming the surface, complete all as specified and directed.
33Digging pits not exceeding 0.25 cubic metre in any type of soil, including getting out excavated material, removing stones, cobbles, boulders, roots and vegetation, mixing the excavated earth with good earth and compost manure in the ratio of 4:1, refilling in layers around the sapling, watering, providing and fixing bamboo/wooden stake and tying with two coir/plastic ties, complete all as specified and directed for the following plants/trees:Ashoka Tree (Height 2m above GL), Cycas Revoluta (Height 0.90m above GL), Royal Palms (Height 2m above GL), Date Palms (Height 2m above GL), Neem Tree (Height 1m above GL), Mango Tree (Height 1m above GL), Peepal tree (Height 2m above GL)Banyan tree (Height 2m above GL)
34Excavating trench not exceeding 450 mm wide and 450 mm deep in any type of soil, including getting out excavated material and disposing of the same to a distance not exceeding 50 m, refilling with approved red earth mixed with farmyard manure in the ratio of 3:1, breaking clods, treating the soil with approved fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides including Bavistin, Neem Cake, BHC 10% dust, Lindane dust, Thimet, Phorate, Super Compost and Vermi Compost in the ratio of 1:3, and planting hedging/edging plants such as Conocarpus erectus, Ficus Blackiana, Ficus retusa and Duranta erecta in 300 mm wide trenches, complete all as specified and directed.
35S&F 20 mm dia medium grade galvanised steel tubing conforming to IS:1239 (Part-I), complete with all fittings and accessories, laid in trenches, complete all as specified and directed.
