| 1 | Carefully remove the loose, crushed, and damaged portion of the existing cork pad along the perimeter of the RCC foundation up to a maximum width of 200 mm or up to sound cork. Clean the exposed gap thoroughly using compressed air and a wire brush. Supply, cut, and install new cork pad strips of the same thickness and width as the existing cork pad, ensuring a tight fit along the damaged edge. Fill all minor voids and joints with approved flexible polyurethane sealant. The replacement cork pad shall conform to the following minimum specifications: Material: Cork-rubber composite (preferred over pure cork)Density: 350 ± 50 kg/m³Thickness: 75–100 mm (matching the existing thickness)Compressive Strength: Minimum 0.5–1.0 MPa at 10% compressionSize of RCC foundation: 2500 mm × 3000 mm × 700 mm (Height) |
| 2 | Carefully dismantle the existing masonry sealing portion along the perimeter of the RCC foundation, to facilitate removal and installation of the cork pad. Reconstruct the masonry sealing portion after fixing of new cork pad strip. Seal all joints and gaps with approved flexible polyurethane sealant. Repair all damaged portions of the RCC foundation using approved repair mortar or polymer-modified repair material. Prepare the complete RCC foundation surface and apply one coat of suitable exterior-grade primer followed by two coats of waterproof exterior-grade protective coating/paint of approved make and shade, complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
