| 5 | M & L for cutting the edges of existing joints with suitable machine by racking out old sealing compound from existing joints of tarmac of size 8mm to 12mm wide and 25mm deep as directed by special tools like cutting blades / grinder machines (use of hammers is prohibited as it damages the edges) and removing old unserviceable filled sealing compound from the joints by means of compressed air using hand blower including disposal of the same to a distance of 500m from the edge of runway as directed and repair of joints by epoxy wherever required and fill the joints by mechanical means as per following process: -(i) Provision of back-up polyethylene rod of 10mm dia suitable to be inserted in the joint tightly as specified. (ii) Provision of adequate masking tape on either sides of joint to avoid spillage on concrete surface before applying joint sealant and removing the same after sealing of joints.(iii) Supplying and filling of sealing compound properly for a depth of 15mm as specified after application of suitable primer as directed. (The finished level of sealed joints shall be on an average 3 mm below the top surface of slabs.)NOTE: - Sealing compound shall be Bostik \\"Seal N flex -Premium P 795', Bostik Polyurethane sealent of grey colour conforming to BS-5212 with minimum movement accommodation factor of (+ -) 50% when tested as per ASTM C-920 & ASTM C1248/ M/S Choksey Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. / M/S STP Ltd. as approved. The sealent shall have shore 'A' hardness >/= 35 as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed. |

Ltd. / M/S STP Ltd as approved epoxy resin mortar as per manufacturer's instructions after application of epoxy resin primer with and including necessary form work complete all as specified and directed. |
| 9 | M&L for neatly cutting the cracks on flexible pavements by chiselling machine / diamond cutter including cleaning the cracks by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud and using air blowers for removing loose dirt debris etc. and providing \\"RUNPHALT\\" bitumen tubing / rope, elastomeric, liquefiable, self levelling sealent, by inserting the same into the cleaned cracks by suitable means like screw drivers and and subsequently melling it using heating process touchong it continously (without removing the plastic wraps) until it liqiflies and fills in the voids of cracks fully until the pavement surfce for the 6-7 mm wide cracks complete all as per specified and directed. |

| 11 | Labour & T&P for cutting of grass by bush cutter operated slasher where ever required including removing of material obtained from cutting & cleaning (both side ) upto 10 mtrs from the concrete edges complete all as specified and directed. Note : Contractor will arrange at his own bush cutter minimum 02 Nos per day with POL & operater . The bush cutter will be operated from 10:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs , (including lunch break of half hour at mid day) every day in week days excluding Sundays & holidays minimum out put of one bush cutter will be 250 Sqm ( Grass cut clear area) in a day. If the contractor will not arrange his own bush cutter minimum 02 Nos per day with POL & operater, then double the rate recovery will be levied from contractor on this account. |
| 12 | M & L for repair to concrete slab or pavement of existing damaged edges / spoiled edges to triangular / rectangular cross section,of width of size 15mm to 20mm and depth 30mm to 40mm, by machine cutting and removing all broken and loose material to a distance exc. 50 metres but not exc. 100 metres and cleaning the surface with compressed air to remove dust, dirt, loose sand / foreign material, washing the surface with acid solution and repairing surface / edge with Bostik ERM / M/S Choksey Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. M/S STP Ltd as approved epoxy resin mortar after application of epoxy resin primer with and including necessary form work complete all as specified and directed. |
| 13 | M&L for single component 'Aspha Flo' coal tar free signature grade Gilsonite modified Asphalt emulsion, special polymers and Adhesive streaming crack, joint stuffer to prevent cracks from forming into pot holes and filling of cracks and joints on asphaltic surface of the runway, shall be complete to be applied directly on damp pavement also and coverage shall be 24.20 mtr/Ltr for 6mm (width) x 6mm (depth) crack complete all as specified and directed.
