Surface shall be kept free, till the primer is impregnated and the solvent oil in the primer get evaporated. (ii) Applying one coat of blown type bitumen of grade 85/25 as binding material conforming to IS-73 at the rate of 1.2 Kg/Sqm. (iii) APP based polymeric water proofing membrane of weight not less than 3.0 Kg/Sqm, minimum 3 mm thick black finish reinforced with non woven polyster matt, with a thermo fusible finish, torching overlaps with a propane or a butane gas torch, with a overlap of 75mm at sides and 100mm at the ends and sealing complete.(iv) Applying one coat of bituminous aluminium paint over top surfaces of APP membrane. Note :- The water proofing treatment shall be carried out by the manufacturer or his authorised applicators in terms of clause 11.43 of MES Sch Part-I (2009) |
