| 1 | Material and labour for cleaning and removal of blockages (in foul condition only) from inside building (at any floor) as bathroom/WC/Kitchen to GT, Floor trap to GT, along with vertical pipes, oval access door, washing and cleaning thoroughly up to the cleaning eye of the down-take pipe, by using mechanical equipment, rodding devices, choke removers, pressure jetting techniques or any other approved method. The item shall include locating and clearing the blockage, flushing the entire line with water to ensure free flow, cleaning and removal of silt, sludge and other obstructions, and reinstatement of oval access door covers, GT covers and manhole covers in their original positions after completion of the work. The work shall be carried out to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge and shall be complete in all respects as specified and directed.Note: (i) The unit of measurement shall be Each Job per building (bathroom/WC/Kitchen to GT, Floor trap to GT, along with vertical pipes all one job). The rate quoted shall be deemed to include complete cleaning from inside of building, cleaning eye of the down-take pipe or any other incidental work required for satisfactory completion of the job. |

The item shall include locating and clearing the blockage, flushing the entire line with water to ensure free flow, cleaning and removal of silt, sludge and other obstructions, and reinstatement of oval access door covers, GT covers and manhole covers in their original positions after completion of the work. | 3 | Material and labour for opening the existing manhole cover and removing/extracting liquid, sludge, silt, solid waste and other obstructions from manhole chambers (in foul condition or as directed) of any shape and size, having depth not exceeding 1.50 m, including cleaning and removal of blockages from the connected sewer line of any diameter up to 300 mm from the preceding manhole up to the subject manhole, irrespective of length, by using a mechanically operated truck/tractor-mounted hydro-jet sewer cleaning machine equipped with sewage/sludge collection tank, wash-down system, suction derrick arm, hydraulically operated spring-loaded rotary sliding vane compressor, V-hose, end-section nozzle, strainer and all other necessary accessories. The item shall include jetting, suction, cleaning and flushing of the manhole chamber and connected sewer line, temporary stopping/diversion of sewage flow by means of sand bags, gunny bags or other approved methods wherever required during cleaning operations, removal of such temporary obstructions after completion of cleaning to restore normal sewage flow, collection, transportation and disposal of extracted sludge/waste in closed containers outside MD land premises, and reinstatement of the manhole cover in its original position after completion of the work, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |

The item shall include complete dewatering, suction, cleaning and desludging, breaking and loosening of compacted sludge wherever required, collection of all extracted liquid, sludge and waste material, transportation in leak-proof closed containers/tankers and disposal thereof outside MD land premises, and reinstatement of the access cover in its original position after completion of the work, including cleaning off shrubs/bushes, vegetarian found 2 m all-around from external edge of septic tank or sewage well, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Note : (i) The unit of measurement shall be per thousand Litre (1000 Ltr) of sewage/sludge/waste actually removed and transported, measured on the basis of the certified volumetric capacity of the closed collection tank/container/tanker utilized for the work.
