22Making Anchor bolts of dia (32 mm),1.20 m long with a set of plate washer,2.0 no.s nuts and threading upto 15 cm and setting in template made available at site.
23Supplying new Galvanized iron bolts, nuts and washers (5.9 grade) for fastening the 40 M narrow based tower (for missing bolts, nuts etc.)
24Carriage of tower materials from T.E. compound Adimali to Munnar including loading / unloading etc. complete (weight shall be taken in a weigh bridge).
25Erection of four legged ground based ( light weight) 40 m high communication tower after segregation/sorting of the tower materials as per erection drawing.
26Re-Painting the 40 metre ground based tower, including ladder, cable tray, working platforms, etc. ,after scrapping the old paint surface by sand papering, with Luxol or equivalent high gloss synthetic enamel paint in two or more coats of required colour of deep orange and white in alternate bands to give an even shade over One coat of Etch primer and Zinc chromate yellow primer as per aviation standards for tower as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
27Providing G I strips of size 50x3 mm one end connected to the tower leg with G I bolts and nuts [with lead sheath in between] including providing and connecting the legs at the bottom of tower and the other end shall be connected to the G I plate earth/ring earth with G I bolts and nuts [with lead sheath in between] including clamping the down lead flat to walls/stems without any sharp bends using necessary clamps and screws as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (All joints should be covered by Shalimar or equivalent water proof tape and made air tight)
28Providing GI plate earth including excavation of pit of size 1500x1500x 3000mm depth in all kinds of soil and placing four numbers of GI plates of size 600x600x6 mm thick vertically at diagonally opposite ends in the excavated pit and inter connect the plates with 50x3 mm GI strips with 2 no.s of GI bolts and nuts of 10mm dia at each connection and placing galvanized iron pipe of 50mm dia and 3000mm length at the centre of the GI plate grid and interconnect the pipe at minimum two sides with connecting flat of the GI plates with GI flat of size 50x3mm with GI bolts and nuts and fill the pit up to a depth of 650mm with charcoal of 20mm nominal size and the remaining portion of pit shall be filled with loose soil free from stones and wet the entire soil with water and providing precast RCC rings 300mm dia 450mm height and 50mm thick with reinforcements and cover slab of 300mm dia 50mm thick for earth chamber etc. and levelling the surplus excavated earth as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
29Providing and fixing copper lightning conductor of 1500mm length, 25mm dia hollow tube of wall thickness not less than 1.6mm including tinning the bottom portion of the spike for a length not less than 150mm (lightning conductor to be fixed at the top of the tower) and connecting the copper bus bar to the lightening arrester using 2 Nos.10mm dia brass bolts and nuts all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
30Providing GI bus bar of 50 x 3 mm connected to the tinned bottom portion of lightning conductor and to the ring earth/plate earth with 2 no.s of 10 mm dia GI nuts & bolts [with lead sheath in between] at each connection. The bus bar shall be drawn through heat shrink sleeve and shall be shrunk properly. The bus bar shall be clamped to the tower/ building walls at uniform interval of 1.5 Mt.. using proper GI clamps and ceramic insulators such that the bus bar shall be well insulated from the tower building walls all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
