| 1 | SECTION-I: REPAIR/MAINT OF GEYSERS AND ALLIED WORKS IN OLD & NEW CANTTAttending day to day complaints including dismantling electric and water connection of the geyser, taking down from its position on ground, dismantling geyser complete such as removing tank from its outer body, removing apparatus plate/ syphon assembly from the tank, glass wool, descaling the geyser inner tank , testing its thermostat, heating element , and leakage from tank , reassembling the geyser, replacement of unserviceable parts such as heating element, thermostat, indication lamp, plug top , three core wire, rubber gasket, inner tank, outer cover, glass wool, split plate/ Bottom cover plate, apparatus plate/ syphon assembly if required and all other connected items (Spares will be measured and paid seperately under relevant item of the BoQ as Supply only ) testing the geyser and installation of the geyser into its original position and connecting all electric and water supply connection complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge for any type make and size of geysers (site requirement).Notes: Schedule of repair to electric geyser is catered for attending day to day complaints of different items and complete the job within 24 Hours, failure to attend and rectify the complaint within the prescribed time shall attract a penalty of Rs 150 per day per complaint. |

| 33 | SECTION-II: REPAIR TO SOLAR WATER HEATING SYSTEM IN OLD & NEW CANTT Attending of day to day Solar Water Heating System complaints taking down, opening up, reassembling, refixing and testing of Solar Water Heating System including replacement of unserviceable parts ( Heating element, Thermostat, Hose Pipe, Temperature Gauge) wherever required at the discretion of the Engr-in- Charge shall be carried out by the contractor for efficient functioning of Solar Water heating System. The cost of material will be measured and paid seperately under respective item of schedule complete all as specified and directed by EIC.Note: (i) Schedule of repair to Solar Water heating System is catered for attending day to day complaints and complete the job within 24 Hours , failure to attend and rectify the complaint within the prescribed time shall attract a penalty of Rs 150 per day per complaint.(ii) The taking down, opening up, reassembling, refixing, transportation for workshop and back and testing of system wherever required at the discretion of the Engr-in- Charge shall be carried out by the contractor at his own expenses for efficient functioning. Cost of these elements shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor against respective item of this schedule. (iii) All repair to Solar water heating system shall be carried out from an authorized manufacturer/ repair center of the system and proof there of shall be produced to the GE before undertaking repairs. Contractor is advised to visit the site to ascertain the model and manufacturer of system before quoting his rates.(iv) Contractor is advised to visit the solar site and check locations of solar water heaters to be repaired and then quote the tender accordingly. No comments regarding height of building and other inaccessibilty issues will be entertained thereof. Any T&P required to reach the roof and loading and unloading of defective/ unserviceable parts to be done by the contractor without any extra cost.(v) T & P and labour required for taking down of UNSV parts, transportation to workshop and refixing tha same has been catered in this item.(vi) Rate quoted by the contractor shall deemed to be included for making good the worn out/ missing nuts bolts, washers, union socket, flanges and screws etc. |
