Name of Work:- RESURFACING OF RUNWAY ALONGWITH CONNECTED WORKS AT AF STATION AMBALA.

1FLEXIBLE AND RIGID PAVEMENT (PART-I)
2Demolition of cement concrete (un-reinforced) PQC of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for using pneumatic tools complete all as directed (250mm PQC+150mm bituminous), complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
3M&L for crushing the demolished PQC/PCC (obtained from demolition of rigid pavements), screening, segregating, stacking aggregate and like serviceable material found, by mechanical means using stone crusher to required grading (Grading-V of Table 400-9 of MoRTH), removing the wastage and depositing where directed complete all as specified.
4Milling /Chiselling of flexible pavement of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for using mechanical milling machine to achieve the level for laying minimum required thickness of DBM layer or to match the slope with adjoining surface (ramping), complete all as specified and directed.
5Excavation over area by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) in hard/dense soil, including getting out and disposal of excavated earth upto 50m lead and lift upto 1.5m, as directed by Engineer-in Charge complete all as specified and directed.
6Removing demolished material retrieved from PQC, DLC, WBM/WMM & GSB Layers and/or miling/chiseling to outside of MoD land of any lead, including disposal in civil area at contractor's own arrangement, including loading, unloading and tacking at the destination complete all as specified and directed.
7Excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) over areas in any kind of soils, including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50m and lift upto 1.5m, as directed by Engineer-in Charge complete all as specified and directed.
8Removing excavated material (excavated earth) within MoD land upto 7km and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.
9Excavation over areas by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) in soft / loose soil, n exc 1.5m in depth, including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50m and lift upto 1.5m, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
10Removing demolished material etc. (retrieved from PQC) to a distance 2.5km to 3km beyond lead included in the rates to the crusher plant, including loading, unloading and stacking at the destination complete all as specified and directed.Note:- Material retrieved from this item shall be used as GSB after crushing, under NLB surface or any other similar location where specifically mentioned.
11Removing excavated materials for distance exc 1.5km but n exc 5km and deposited where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above the starting point all as directed.
12Removing excavated material exc 500m but n exc 1 km and deposited where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above the starting point all as directed.
13M&L for forming embankment including raising (or lowering) earth, spreading in layers n exc 30cm thick, watering , ramming / rolling and finishing to required size, shape , etc n exc 1.5m from base complete all as specified and directed. (Earth obtained from excavation under item No. 1.08 above)
14Removing excavated material (excavated earth) within MoD land upto 7km and deposited where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above the starting point all as directed.
15Soil stabilization of 450 mm sub grade soil by uniform mixing of cement (OPC 43 grade@ 5% cement by weight of soil as additive (percentage required for blending will be as per mix design) to achieve CBR value 6.0, including pulverziation of soil spreading of additive, blending mix by tractor compaction using suitable vibratory roller to achieve density of 98% Maximum Dry Density complete as specified and directed.Note: Provisions of IRC SP:89-2010 be referred to for this item.
16Soil stabilization of 450 mm sub grade soil by uniform mixing of cement OPC 43 grade@ 5% cement by weight of soil as additive (percentage required for blending will be as per mix design) to achieve K- value 6.5Kg/Sqcm/cm, including pulverziation of soil spreading of additive, blending mix by tractor compaction using suitable vibratory roller to achieve density of 98% Maximum Dry Density complete as specified and directed.Note: Provisions of IRC SP:89-2010 be referred to for this item.

18All same as per item No. 1.16 but soil stabilization of 300 mm sub grade.
19Note for item No. 1.14 to 1.17OPC cement @ 5% by weight of soil is for quoting purpose only. Any additional / reduction in cement beyond 5% during design to get the 'K' value shall be measured and paid under respective item of this BOQ.
20Add or deduct for supply only ordinary portland cement in bags of 50Kg each. Note: Variation in cement if any due to design mix or where mixing of cement is not occurred to be adjusted through DO.
21M&L for laying and compacting 200 mm thick (compacted thickness) in two layers of 100 mm thick each Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) grading as per table 400-13 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 manufactured in WMM plant, material comprising of clean, crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100KN static weight and consolidating to required gradient and camber the finished surface tolerances to be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 complete all as specified and directed.
22M&L for preparing black top surfaces by using mechanical wire brush brooms for removing caked mud, rubber deposits, any type of paints on runway surface etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface by applying air pressure to remove all loose dirt etc. complete all as specified and directed.
23M&L for applying evenly a prime coat of cationic bitumen emulsion SS1 confirming to IS: 8887 at a rate of application of 0.7-1kg/Sq.m on surface of WMM/WBM as specified in table 500-3 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer complete all as complete all as specified and directed
24M&L for applying evenly a Tack coat of Bitumen VG-10 grade conforming to IS: 73 at a rate of application of 0.3-0.4kg/sqm (3kg/10Sqm) on bituminous surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer complete all as complete all as specified and directed
25M&L for providing and consolidating premixed Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM Grading-II) using min 4.5% VG-40 grade binder by weight of total mix, consolidated thickness 100mm or less but not less than 60mm, gradation as per Grading 2 of Table 500-10 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.Note- (i) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of binder content (polymer modified bitumen) is used / approved subsequent to approval of job mix formula in the execution of work under this item. (ii) No adjustment in quantity of cement (Filler) as per approved design mix / job mix formula shall be made.(iii) Trial bay as specified here in after shall be prepared but no payment shall be made for the same. Unit rate quoted shall be inclusive of this provision. (iv) Work shall be done by using hot mix plant and sensor paver.
26M&L for providing and consolidating 50 mm thick premix Dense Asphaltic Concrete (DAC-I) using min 5.4% Elastomeric PMB 76-10 (Marshall stability 1400 Kg) binder by weight of total mix. aggregate gradation as per Bituminous Concrete Grading 1 of Table 500-17 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.
27M&L for providing and consolidating 50 mm thick premix Dense Asphaltic Concrete (DAC-II) using min 5.6% Elastomeric PMB 76-10 (Marshall stability 1400 Kg) binder by weight of total mix. aggregate gradation as per Bituminous Concrete Grading 2 of Table 500-17 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.Note or Srl No. 1.25 & 1.26 above- (i) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of binder content (polymer modified bitumen) is used / approved subsequent to approval of job mix formula in the execution of work under this item. (ii) No adjustment in quantity of cement (Filler) as per approved design mix / job mix formula shall be made.(iii) Trial bay as specified here in after shall be prepared but no payment shall be made for the same. Unit rate quoted shall be inclusive of this provision. (iv) Work shall be done by using hot mix plant and sensor paver.
28M&L for self adhesive glass grid (1.5m wide with 100kN/m longitudinal and transverse strength) laying mechanically complete all as specified and directed.
29M&L for SAMI layer using PMB @ 9kg/10Sq.m and chips of size 8-10mm @ 7kg/Sq.m over mechanically laid glass grid complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
30M&L for preparing new concrete surface/ bituminious surfaces and painting lines, dashes continuous/ uninterrupted arrows, letters etc and the like exc. 10 cm width with three coats of water based runway marking paint (reflective type) ISI Mark in white, golden, yellow, orange or red colour over a coat of priming paint using mechanised runway marking and painting equipment complete all as specified and as directed.
31M&L for preparing new concrete surface/ bituminious surfaces and painting lines, dashes continuous/uninterrupted arrows, letters,etc not exceeding 10cm width with three coats of oil based runway marking paint (reflective type) ISI Mark in white, golden, yellow, orange or red colour over a coat of primer complete all using mechanised runway marking and painting equipment complete all as specified and as directed.
32M&L for cutting existing crack in bitumen surface not exceeding 40mm wide at top and 50mm to 75mm in depth 'V' groove with a cutter/router machine; cleaning with compresssed air using compressor, brushing hard and filling crack with rubberised bitumen (CRMB) as per manufacturer's instruction complete all as specified and directed.
33Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting with exc 8tonne and n exc 12tonne complete all as specified and directed.
34M&L for laying and compacting Granular Sub Base Course (GSB) 200mm thick (compacted thickness), grading as per Grade V as specified in Table 400-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013, in a single layer over compacted subgrade with natural sand, crushed gravel, crushed stone, crushed slag or combination thereof as per the grading required. The materials are mechanically mixed, spread and leveling on the subgrade by using motor grader of adequate capacity, and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100kN static weight for achieving required compaction density of atleast 98% of the Maximum Dry Density, consolidating to required gradient and camber with finished surface tolerances as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013. complete all as specified and directed.
35M&L for laying and compacting Granular Sub Base Course (GSB) 300mm thick (compacted thickness), grading as per Grade V as specified in Table 400-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013, in a single layer over compacted subgrade with natural sand, crushed gravel, crushed stone, crushed slag or combination thereof as per the grading required. The materials are mechanically mixed, spread and leveling on the subgrade by using motor grader of adequate capacity, and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100kN static weight for achieving required compaction density of atleast 98% of the Maximum Dry Density, consolidating to required gradient and camber with finished surface tolerances as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013. Note: The old crushed material of PQC/PCC shall be used for filling the depressed area of underground demolished buildings to matter with surrounding sub-grade surface.
36M&L for Laying and compacting Granular Sub Base Course (GSB) 150mm thick (compacted thickness), grading as per Grade V as specified in Table 400-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 by using material produced by crushing plant after crushing of PQC/PCC obtained from demolishing of rigid pavements and adding any deficient material obtained at his own cost to obtain grading in a single layer over compacted subgrade The materials are mechanically mixed, spread and leveling on the subgrade by using motor grader of adequate capacity, and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100kN static weight for achieving required compaction density of atleast 98% of the Maximum Dry Density, consolidating to required gradient and camber with finished surface tolerances as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 complete all as specified and directed. complete all as specified and directed.
