24Providing and fixing the new 25mm PVC/PTMT ball cock with epoxy coated rod/ball of approved make bearing ISI mark with all accessories in over head water tanks without interfering regular water supply including removing the damaged ball cock and returning to GSO stores, fixing new ball cock with GI specials if required, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
25Replacing the rubber washer in the 25mm dia. brass ball cock of over head water tank for arresting the leakage by removing the plunger, split pin replacing new rubber washer including cost of rubber washer, split pin refixing the brass ball cock, GI Specials if required, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
26Replacing spares for CP brass fittings such as bib tap, stop cock, pillar cock, push cock, Concealed stop cock , etc., by supplying and fixing the following spares including removing the fittings without interrupting the water supply, servicing the fittings by replacing the wornout spares with new spares, refixing the same and returning the retrieved spindles to GSO Civil Maintenance stores etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

31Providing and fixing the following internal dia gun metal full way gate valve of make \\"Leader\\" bearing ISI mark confirming to IS:778 for 20 Kg/sq.cm Hydraulic pressure with female ends, screwed bonnet, integral seat, non rising spindle class-I including removing the damaged gate valve, fixing the new valve, returning the retrieved wornout gate valve to GSO Civil maintenance stores, etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer.

36Labour charges for removal of water choke in wash basin by removing the waste coupling accessories and removing the choke including refixing with required GI specials, connecting to the inlet and outlet connection by using the existing accessories without damaging the wash basing etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
37Refixing the existing high / Low level flushing cistern along with telescopic pipe by removing the existing cistern with telescopic pipe and refixing the flushing cistern with necessary PVC brackets and support at required height including connecting the cistern and closet with suitable 40mm dia. PVC pipe with necessary specials, modifying the GI line if necessary, dismantling floor for removing the damaged telescopic pipe and restoring the same to its original condition etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. (Excluding cost of PVC pipe and GI pipe if required which will be paid separately under relevant item) [Note: During the above process proper care shall be taken to protect the existing IWC/EWC if any damage is taken place in IWC/EWC contractor shall replace with new IWC/EWC free of cost].
38Repairing the flushing cistern of 'Parryware - Slimline' by supplying and fixing the following spares to flushing cistern including removing the existing flushing cistern, replacing the worn out spares with new spares and refixing the same in original position with working condition etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

106Rectifying the sunken slab leakages in various types of quarters in Bath Room / Kitchen by chipping out the floor concrete exposing the concealed Nahani trap and rectifying the leakages in joints with CM 1:2 mixed with approved quick setting compound at 2% by weight of cement including chipping out the floor, concrete etc., making holes in masonry, reconstructing the same, disposal of debris within a lead of 2 Kms, cost of cement required for the work etc., all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.(Note: Cost of floor finishing such as Mosaic / Tiles etc., will be paid for separately under relevant item)
107Rectifying the leakages in CI soil waste pipe line joints at the stack of various types of buildings including chipping out the masonry/concrete wall around the joints and rectifying the leakages in joints with CM 1:2 mixed with approved quick setting compound at 2% by weight of cement or as approved by manufactures and restoring the wall to the original condition by reconstructing the same, disposal of debris within a lead of 2 Kms, cost of cement required for the work etc., all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
108Rectifying the leakages in concealed CI waste water line by replacing with new suitable PVC pipe of 6kg/sq.cm. pressure of approved make conforming to IS-4985/2000 including chipping the existing RCC floor/brick wall, removing the damaged CI pipe/fittings, fixing of new PVC pipe, jointing with suitable jointing compound, restoring the same including disposal of debris within a initial lead, cost of cement required for the work etc., all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.(Note: Cost of floor finishing such as mosaic/IPS floor etc., will be paid for separately under relevant item.)

112Providing and laying 1st quality Rectified (Jointless) Ceramic floor tiles (Glazed or Anti-skid) of size 300 x 300 mm or more confirming to IS : 15622 of KAJARIA (Approved concept of Digital Series) or SOMANY (Digital Series - Glasstra) or JOHNSON (Approved concept of Satin & Rustic / Glossy series) other approved make in all colours, shades in Floors laid over 20 mm thick cement mortar 1 : 4 (1 Cement : 4 Coarse sand) jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3 kg per Sq.m or by using Cement based high polymer modified quick set tile adhesive (water based) or other approved tile adhesive including grouting the joints with white cement and matching pigments etc., all complete as per specification.
113Providing and fixing PVC Nahani trap of approved make conforming to the relevant IS code, heavy quality of self cleaning design with 125mm dia. PVC grating with perforated holes on top, including chipping the existing floor concrete, exposing the damaged Nahani trap, fixing new Nahani trap, embedding in cement concrete 1:2:4, forming circular holes by providing and fixing 110mm OD PVC pipes of required height upto floor level, jointing the outlet pipe, levelling and rendering smooth, making good the floor and wall etc., complete as per specifications. 114Excavating trenches of required width by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator / manual means) for pipes, cables etc., for depth upto 1.5m in all kinds of soil including excavation for sockets, dressing of sides, ramming of bottoms, getting out the excavated soil and then refilling the soil as required in layers not exceeding 200mm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming, watering etc., and disposing of surplus excavated soil as directed within a lead of 50m, (Disposed soil to be levelled by breaking clods, if any and neatly dressed), etc., all complete as per specification.

142 GENERAL INFORMATION FOR GUIDANCE OF TENDERERS
143The schedule of quantities is to be read for the purpose of pricing in conjunction with the special conditions, general rules for the guidance of contractors, conditions of contract, specifications, drawings, schedule of supply of materials and the appendices.
144The prices inserted in the schedule of quantities shall be inclusive of value of the work described including all cost and expenses, which may be required in and for the construction of the work described together with the general risks, liabilities and obligations not forth or implied in the documents on which the tender is to be based.
145The quantities stated are to be considered approximate only and the unit prices entered in the schedule of quantities and prices shall apply only to the actual quantities measured in the completed work in accordance with the specifications.
146All the materials other than those shown in schedule of supply of materials in section VII are to be arranged by the contractor and his rates should account for the same.
147Rates quoted for all items in this tender shall include cost of all materials including cement and steel. Department will not supply any materials other than materials stipulated in Section - VII of the tender and as such the rates quoted must be all inclusive.
148If contractors need any clarification they are required to contact the ‘Head, CTC, CEG, GSO, Kalpakkam – 603 102, Chengalpattu district, Tamilnadu (Ph – 044 - 27481238 and 044-27480500 Extn. 84727, 85803) during office hours. SECTION VIII - CONDITIONS FOR CEMENT
149The contractor shall be responsible for supply of cement and procure Ordinary Portland Cement conforming to IS 269-2015 / Portland Pozzolona Cement conforming to IS: 1489-2015 and use it on works. Since the supply of cement by the department has been dispensed, all the clauses relevant to supply of cement by department in this tender document stands cancelled. The contractor shall purchase cement from the approved manufacturers only. The secured advance on cement shall be regulated as per Clause 10-B of conditions of contract. Secured advances on cement up to 90% of assessed price shall be paid to the contractor after indemnifying the Government and through insurance cover. The quantity of cement on which secured advance shall be paid will be restricted to the consignment of cement tested and passed in the test in department laboratory. Prior approval to be obtained from the Engineer for the quantities proposed to be purchased.
150The contractor shall procure Ordinary Portland Cement conforming to IS 269-2015 / Portland Pozzolona Cement conforming to IS: 1489-2015 and use it on works. Ordinary Portland Cement, as required in the work, from reputed manufacturers of cement, having a production-capacity of one million tonnes per annum or more, such as A.C.C., L & T, J.P. Rewa, Vikram, Shri Cement, Birla Jute and Cement Corporation of India, etc., as approved by Ministry of Industry, Government of India, and holding license to use ISI certification mark for their product whose name shall be got approved from Engineer-in-charge. Supply of cement shall be taken in 50 Kg. bags bearing manufacturer’s name and ISI marking, samples of cement arranged by the contractor shall be taken by the Engineer-in-charge and got tested in accordance with provisions of relevant BIS codes. In case test results indicate that the cement arranged by contractor does not conform to the relevant BIS codes, the same shall stand rejected and shall be removed from the site by the contractor at his own cost within a week’s time of written order from the Engineer-in-charge to do so.
151The cement shall be brought at site in bulk supply of approximately 50 tonnes or as decided by the Engineer-in-charge.
152The cement Godown of having a capacity to store minimum of 2000 bags of cement shall be constructed by the contractor at site of work for which no extra payment shall be made from department. Double lock provision shall be made to the door of the cement godown. The keys of one lock shall remain with the Engineer in charge or his authorised representative and the key of the other lock shall remain with the contractor. The contractor shall be responsible for the watch and ward the safety of the cement godown. The contractor shall facilitate the inspection of the cement godown by the Engineer-in-charge at any time.
153The contractor shall supply free of charge the cement required for testing. The cost of tests shall be borne by the contractor.
154The actual issue and consumption of cement on work shall be regulated and proper accounts maintained as provided in Clause 10 of the contract. The theoretical consumption of cement shall be worked out as per procedure prescribed in Clause 42 of the contract and shall be governed by conditions laid therein.
155Cement brought to site and cement remaining unused after completion of work shall not be removed from site without written permission of the Engineer-in-charge. General Notes of AMC for Water Supply & Sanitary Installation Works:
156Tenderers are advised to visit the site of work with prior permission from Engineer-in-charge/Authorised representative to acquaint themselves with the nature and location of work before quoting the tender.
157The work is to be carried out in residential buildings with least disturbance.
158The contractor should arrange the labour pass for their labourers before commencement of work.
159The Contractor shall be responsible for all the risk & cost of their labour and they should possess valid insurance policy for the entire contract period and also they have to submit the copy of insurance to the department before commencement of work.
160The Contractor should provide safety belt, helmet and other safety gadget for labourers working above 1.5 m height of building.
161Safety of the staff employed will be the responsibility of the contractor. Department will not be responsible for any mishap, injury/accident or death of the labours engaged by the contractor. No. claim in this regard shall be entertained/ accepted by the department. The contractor shall be responsible for all damages and accidents due to negligence on his part.
162Old retrived wornout pipes, fittings etc., shall be handed over to the GSO store at Kalpakkam plant site and shall submit the credit voucher to the Engineer-in-charge.
163The contractor shall arrange to provide the service on all Saturday, Sunday and other holidays, in case of emergency as and when required by the Engineer-in-charge, failing which, penal recovery shall be made Engineer-in-charge decision will be final.
164The contractor shall engage required Plumber /mazdoor and adequate material to be maintained on day by day/ regular basis.
165The Contractor shall be assigned to attend the complaints on weekly basis for major complaints and on daily basis for emergency / urgent & minor complaints thro complaint registers / on telephones / verbal instruction from Engineer-In-Charge. In all cases, the contractor shall attend the complaints based on its priority and penal recovery will be made for delay / failure in completing the complaints as detailed below:- Priority Nature of complaint Duration to complete / attend the complaint Penal recovery Remarks I Emergency / Urgent complaints 1 day 200/- per day Decision of Engineer-In-Charge shall be final for deciding the priority of job. II Minor complaints relating to internal repair works such as day to day complaints, replacing plumbing fittings etc., 3 days 50/- per day III Major complaints relating to replacement of Orissa pan, etc., 7 days 100/- per day
166The contractor shall provide daily/ weekly report stating the nature of complaints received, attended, balance complaints, etc., to the Engineer-in-charge or his authorized representative on daily/ weekly in the approved format.
167The Contractor shall provide and maintain triplicate book for receiving the job complaint order from Engineer-In-Charge in the approved format.
168No debris shall be left over during the repair works under each item on any day. An area for 'Debris bins' will be identified on the request of contractor for collection of debris generated on day to day basis. The Debris from debris bin shall be cleared by the contractor every month.
169Penal recovery of Rs. 500 per flat per day shall be made if water taps/bib cocks, flushes are left open and in case of any further material /house hold loss due to this negligence.
170Most of the complaints related to internal repair works have to be carried in the quarters occupied by the residents. If the quarter where the complaints received is in door locked condition and the residents are not available at the time of visiting, then the door lock intimation slip shall be pasted on the main door or at visible area at the entrance to intimate the maintenance team attendance. General Code of conduct to the Contract Personnel Ø All contract staff should wear ID Card signed by GSO Officials and it should be kept visibly seen. Ø Contractor should provide uniform / fluorescent visi wears bearing contractor logo to all labours engaged by them for proper identification. Ø When entering the house for attending complaints, they should get the permission of occupants, informing the nature of complaints entered in the complaint register. Ø While attending complaints, the contract personnel shall insist the occupant to be available nearby. Ø The contract personnel are requested to talk politely, gently in soft tones to the occupants and in particular while talking to lady members.
