| 1 | Excavation in trenches in soft/loose soil not exceeding 1.5 metre in depth and not exceeding 1.5 metre wide for laying of cables, erection of poles, struts, stays etc and getting out all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. |
| 2 | Returning, filling in including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming excavated soil in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick each, filling back in trenches after cables have been laid and tested, poles, stays, struts have been erected and tested complete all as specified. |
| 3 | Removal of excavated surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above the starting point complete all as specified. |
| 4 | Supply and Spread Natural Riddled soil in trenches for cushioning and covering to cable complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note : (i) Natural soil shall be riddled by using sieve to separate composite particles etc as per IS and refilling in trenches before laying of cable 8cm and 15cm after laying of cable. This is then gently punned down to a depth of 10cm above the top of upper-most cable. (ii) For the purpose of measurement only punned thickness only will be considered for payment. |
