The concrete shall be prepared in the ratio of 1:1:1:4 (1 lime: 1 powdered surkhi : 1 coarse sand :4 brick ballast of 25mm nominal gauge from 1st class bricks), homogeneously mixed with organic additives like molasses (gur/sheera), dry tree gum, and dry bel-fruit pulp (giri) in required proportions. The work includes supplying all materials, thorough mixing, laying in layers, consolidation by manual ramming till the mortar cream comes to the surface, and keeping it well-cured to achieve maximum strength and density. | 14 | Construction of a brick masonry Lime Slaking Tank including excavation, laying of dry brick soling at the base, and construction of tank walls with first-class bricks in cement mortar 1:4. The entire inside surface (floor and walls) shall be finished with 20mm thick water proof cement plaster (mix 1:3) with a neat cement floating coat to make the tank completely leak proof and watertight for long-term use, as per the directions of the Engineer in charge.
