| 1 | Mechanized Cleaning and Disinfection of OHT with Six (6) Stages comprising Mechanical Dewatering, desludging and removal of left over dirty water sludge, cleaning of the walls, roof and floor of OHTs from 10,000 gallons to 2 lakh gallons capacity up to 45 mtr staging with the following stages:-STAGE - IMechanized Dewatering – Mechanized dewatering should be done by submersible dewatering pump having suitable outlet, discharge and control panel. The details of motor, cable, seal, material of construction and control panel should be furnished.STAGE – IISludge Removal – Desilting and removal of left over dirty water sludge with a sludge removal pump.STAGE – IIIHigh Pressure Cleaning – Cleaning of wall, ceiling and floor by high pressure of 80–180 bars. Cleaning should be done by high pressure cleaner with the following specifications: Fully automatic controlled, auto start-stop, imported high pressure cleaning machine having F-Class insulation protection. The heavy duty machine should be operated by HPC operator on continuous duty in variable fully adjustable mode from working pressure of 100–180 bars. The machine should have imported twin steel core protection rubber high pressure hose for safety, withstanding operating pressure of 250 bar, and two cleaning lances, one with rotary jet and the second one a flat jet for effective drinking water tank operation.STAGE – IVVacuum Cleaning – Removal of remaining sludge from the floor with the help of industrial vacuum cleaner.(A) Removal of remaining sludge with the help of imported heavy duty industrial vacuum cleaner and sludge sucker having maximum power of 1200 watts, with suitable heavy duty motor.(B) Imported sludge sucker should be a part of the high pressure system which sucks sludge and throws the same out of the tank. This must handle solid particles as well.STAGE – VAnti-Bacterial Spray – Spraying of non-toxic, biodegradable, eco-friendly anti-bacterial agent to disinfect the tank from all harmful pathogens. The dose utilized should be safe as per WHO guidelines.STAGE – VIUV Radiator – Treatment of inside of tank by exposing UV radiator to kill further suspended or floating bacteria, if any. Treatment of inside tank should be done by exposing UV radiation by imported heavy duty UV radiator. The radiator should be designed in a way to ensure 360 degrees of sterilization and should have suitable lamps for effective sterilization for a period of 8000 working hours. The radiator must be totally portable and effective for final sterilization of drinking water tanks for elimination of floating and suspended bacteria.Notes:-i. Contractor must clean and disinfect the water storage tank within 24 hours after giving the site by Engineer-in-Charge to avoid the inconvenience for distribution of water supply to the connected area.ii. In case of any accident during the work in progress, the contractor will be fully responsible to give necessary medical aid and also compensate the worker under the Compensation Act, 1923.iii. No extra payment will be made for transportation of any machinery required for cleaning and disinfection of the storage tank.iv. Contractor must arrange the videography during the work in progress and submit the CD in 2 copies to the Engineer-in-Charge without any extra payment.v. Contractor must write the date of cleaning and capacity of tank on the wall of the storage tank in size of 2 ft × 2 ft base prepared by enamel paint. Base should be in light blue colour and letters should be white colour without extra payment.vi. While executing the work, the contractor must have all safety equipment and follow all safety parameters at site. vii Vidiography of each pump shall be done by the contractor under his own arrangements and expenses for the record purposes of the department. |

Surface preparation shall be carried out using suitable mechanical sanding equipment with integrated dust extraction system capable of producing a clean, sound and dust-free substrate suitable for application of the specified coating system.3. Proper masking and protection of doors, windows, glazing, fittings, fixtures, floors, furniture, equipment and adjoining finished surfaces shall be carried out before commencement of painting works. Any damage shall be made good by the contractor at his own cost.4. All equipment proposed for the work, including spray machines, sanding machines, mixers and allied accessories, shall be approved by the Engineer-in-Charge before deployment at site.5. The complete coating system shall be executed only through the manufacturer's authorized applicator/agency duly trained and certified by the respective manufacturer.6. Rates quoted shall include all scaffolding upto 30.00 m , staging Over head Reservoir , ladders, access arrangements, masking materials, protection measures, consumables, cleaning and disposal of debris, and no extra payment shall be admissible on these accounts.7. Primer, putty, distemper / extererior emulsion /plastic emlusion shall be of same manufacturer. Tint / colour / shade / texture of paint shall be approved by GE.8. GE shall approve stages building/OHR wise in stage passing register for each stage before commencement of subsequent stage viz preparation of surface by complete removal, each coat of putty separately ( first coat followed by application of the second coat or additional coat(s) as required to achieve a total average finished thickness of 2.0 mm), primer, under coat and finishing coat of interior & exterior emulsion paint (first coat and second coat) separately.9. The bidders shall apply the minimum number of coats mentioned in the respective items of Schedule 'A' / BoQ to the satisfaction of GE. In case GE is not satisfied with exetrnal finish, shade, texture, colour, uniformity, workmanship, etc of painting, then the contractor shall have to apply one or more additional coats without any extra cost to the Department. No claim whatsoever shall be entertained on this account.10.The contractor shall, at his own cost, obtain and maintain valid Insurance Policies covering all workers, painters, supervisors, applicators and other personnel engaged for execution of work. The insurance shall adequately cover risks arising out of accidental death, bodily injury, permanent/ partial disability, occupational hazards, third-party liability and any other statutory requirements under applicable labour laws. The contractor shall be solely responsible for payment of compensation, medical expenses, claims, damages, penalties or legal liabilities arising out of any accident, injury or death of his emplyees/workers during the execution of contract. The department shall bear no responsbility whatsoever in this regard. Copies of valid insurance policies shall be submitted to the GE before commencement of work and shall remain valid througout the contract period 11. Upon completion of the work, all paint splashes, masking materials, debris, waste containers and temporary protections shall be removed and the site shall be handed over in neat and clean condition.12 Finishing to Handrails if any: Preparing old painted steel surfaces and applying one coat (finishing coat) of synthetic enamel paint complete |
| 12 | M&L for providing and applying anti-carbonation protective coating system on external RCC surfaces of Overhead Water Tank (OHT) of 2.00 lakh Gallon capacity comprising Dekguard E2000 manufactured by Fosroc Chemicals India Pvt. Ltd. or equivalent anti-carbonation protective coating system manufactured by Sika India Pvt. Ltd., SICO or any other approved manufacturer having equal or superior technical characteristics and performance, as approved by GE, applied only through the manufacturer's authorised/trained applicator. The work shall include complete surface preparation by mechanical wire brushing, grinding, scraping, high-pressure water jetting or other approved mechanical means to remove laitance, loose concrete, dust, dirt, algae, fungus, moss, oil, grease, curing compounds, old loose paint/coating and all other deleterious materials; filling of pinholes, blowholes, honeycombs and other minor non-structural surface imperfections with compatible polymer-modified cementitious repair mortar as recommended by the manufacturer; application of one coat of silane-siloxane based penetrating primer (Dekguard Primer WB or equivalent compatible primer) followed by application of minimum two coats of Dekguard E2000 or equivalent single-component elastomeric, UV-resistant, weather-resistant, anti-carbonation aliphatic acrylic protective coating at the manufacturer's recommended coverage of approximately 1.50 Sqm/Litre (including normal wastage) or as recommended by the manufacturer to achieve a uniform total Dry Film Thickness (DFT) of 200–300 microns. The coating system shall be applied strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's latest technical data sheet, method statement and recommendations regarding substrate preparation, ambient conditions, re-coating interval and curing, and the finished coating shall be uniform, continuous and free from pinholes, blistering, peeling, cracking, holidays or other defects. The completed coating system shall possess minimum static crack bridging capability of 2.0 mm at 200 microns DFT at 23°C as per ASTM C836 or equivalent, Solar Reflectance Index (White) of minimum 105 as per ASTM E1980, pull-off adhesion strength of not less than 1.0 N/mm² as per BS 1881 or equivalent, and CO₂ diffusion resistance with equivalent air layer thickness (Sd) not less than 240 m (approximately equivalent to 600 mm of 30 MPa concrete) determined by Taywood Method or equivalent recognised test. The rate shall include all labour, materials, primer, coating, minor surface repairs, scaffolding/staging, safety measures, tools and plants, machinery, testing required for quality control, protection of adjoining surfaces, transportation, loading, unloading, leads, lifts, wastage and all other incidental works necessary for complete execution, complete in all respects as approved by GE. |
