If the total binder contents as per design mix is more than specified binder content in item of BOQ, no price adjustment shall be made for the same. (ii) Job Mix Formula (JMF) for Semi dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC), Bituminous Macadam (BM) and Dense Bituminous Maccadam (DBM) shall be obtained from only Govt Lab or Govt Engg College prior to commencement of work and shall be got approved from the GE. etc complete all as specified and as directed.(iii) Field tests (Bitumen Extraction Test,Core Cutting Test for density & compaction, Temprature control) shall be conducted by GE during execution and records to be maintained. |
| 27 | (B) Notes for Hot Mix Plant :-The contractor shall use computerized Hot Mix Plant mandatorily which is digital and controlled by multiple password protection and access restricted. A panel comprising of members viz GE, AGE (EIC) , Representative of user not less than Officer rank and contractor or his accredited representative will exercise following duties :- (i) Calibrate the computerized plant from Govt approved agency and seal the plant. (ii) Approve Job Mix Formula (JMF) prior to commencement of work, in writing. (iii) Digital feeding of JMF into plant with parameters Bitumen VG-30 %, aggregate gradation , temperature , aggregate proportions, feed gate openings, mixing time & temperature and any modification deemed necessary using multiple passwords and lock with multiple password protection lock and lead seal. (iv) Plant shall be logged in digitally using multiple password protection system. Control panel, load cells and bitumen pump system shall be physically and digitally sealed. (v) The physical seal shall be of lead. Any tempering or breaking seal shall be contemplated as violation of contract and contract shall be cancelled at the default of contractor as per terms and conditions of contract. (vi) Shall ensure that plant shall generate tamper proof digital record of batch wise production, bitumen % , aggregate proportion, temperature and daily print outs shall be signed by the panel.
