Name of Work:- REPAIR/MAINTENANCE OF TRANSFORMER AND CONNECTED ACCESSORIES FOR HT/LT NETWORK IN NEW AND OLD CANTT AREAUNDER GE (N) PATIALA

1Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5m in depth for laying of pipe, cable, foundation of electric pole etc and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
2Returning, filling in excavated material (soil) including spreading leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exc. 25 cm thick complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
3Removing surplus soil to a distance not exc. 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point ccomplete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
4Material and labour for sand cushioning using dry river sand to underground cable for cable protection 23 cm thick in two layers,8 cm thick before laying of cables and 15 cm thick after laying the cable complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- Punned thickness of sand shall be measured for payment purposes
5Supply and laying un-reinforced precast concrete cable cover class HV, type 1, flat, size 300 mm X 180mm x 40mm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
6Supplying and laying in repair un-reinforced precast concrete cable cover , class LV, Type 1, flat of size 250 mm x 150 mm x 40 mm for cable protection, confirming to IS : 5820-1970 and having minimum average load breaking strength 200 Kg/Sqcm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.Note : For serial item No. 5 & 6. :-The sample of precast concrete cable cover will be got tested from govt. approved lab as decided by GE and cost of testing is deemed to be included in unit rate of this item
7Material and labour for mild steel tube galvanised, light grade of size 80mm bore with all fittings and laid in trenches / under roads/ under floors/ fixing on/along poles and walls with clamps fabricated out of 50x5 mm thick flat iron including bolts, nuts and washers @ spacing 75 cm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
8All as per serial item No 7 here-in-before but using pipe of size 100 mm borecomplete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge..
9Supply, laying, fixing, jointing and testing XLPE Insulated screnned, PVC bedded, galvanised steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cable (heavy duty) with aluminium conductor,11000 volts Earthed,grade cross section area 120 Sqmm x 3 core, laid in trenches, under floor/roads passing through pipes / ducts / or fixed to walls etc including taking out old unserviceable cable of any size and make complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- Excavation and earth work, sand cushnioning, PCC cover shall be measured and paid separetaly under respective items of this schedule.
10All as per serial item No. 9 here-in-before but cable of size 95 sqmm X 3 core complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
11Supply,laying, commissioning and testing XLPE insulated, armoured, electric power UG cable (Heavy duty) with aluminium conductor, 1100 volts grade laid in duct / trenches or passing through pipe , for small length for extension / replacement of the defective cable of nominal cross sectional area 240 sqmm 3.5 core including brass compression cable gland, terminal aluminium lugs etc making connection and testing or passing through pipe in repair, Engineer-in-charge. Note:- Excavation and earth work, sand cushnioning, PCC cover, mild steel clamp nut and bolts etc shall be measured and paid separately.
12All as per serial item No. 11 here-in before but cable of size 185 sqmm x3.5 core complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
13Material and labour for Boring of holes under road, pavement, hard standing by trench-less technology and necessary mannual machine suitable to pass through 100 mm bore GI tubing and cable etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
14Material and labour for cutting green/dead grass, vegetations, roots, bushes etc from surrounding of Transformers / Poles / substations and removing the same out side MOD land complete all as directed by Engineer-in- charge.
15Disconnecting and taking down of transformer indoor/outdoor type 11000/415 volts having capacity 50 to 100 KVA, transportation to contractor’s workshop for repairs, strip opening of transformer after unscrewing nuts /bolts screws and connected accessories such as breather, conservator tank, temp gauge, taking out the core for replacement of defective parts and transportation back to the site after repairs and installing, connecting up, testing and commissioning at the site complete all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Notes : -(i) Transformer oil shall be drained out by the contractor in suitable capacity MS drums to be arranged by the contractor. The said drained out transformer oil shall be refilled in the transformer duly dehydrated after repair and the cost thereof shall be included in unit rate quoted against the respective item of this schedule.(ii) Rewinding of HT / LT coils shall be measured and paid for separately under respective item of this schedule. (iii) Transportation charges for transportation of transformer from site to workshop and after repair, workshop to site shall be borne by the contractor and cost thereof shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item.(iv) Contractor are liable to repair the transformer within the 15 days from the date of defective. If any delay / lingering happened without any reason the contractor will liable to arrange the transformer till the defects clear/return from workshop. The delay charge from the given time frame will be 500 Rs per day.(v) The said transformer shall be repaired in reputed workshop as decided by the GE.
16(vi) Coil to be replaced shall have same number of turns, gauge insulation value matching with manufacturer’s design. (vii) Testing of transformer after repair shall be carried out with the following test (Insulation resistance or Megger test) and the cost of testing shall be deem to be included in unit rate quoted against this item. (viii) The IR value of the dried winding before inserting the core in the shell shall not be less than 750 mega ohm with 5000 volts megger and record of the same shall be maintained. (ix) Painting of transformer with one coat of super enamelled paint after cleaning the oil from transformer body complete all as specified and directed
17All as per serial item No 15 here-in-before above, but transformer of capacity 160 KVA to 200 KVA complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
18All as per serial item No 15 here-in-before above, but transformer of capacity 250 KVA to 500 KVA complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
19Supplying and fixing HT coils made out of super enamelled HT copper winding wire of transformers having capacity 50 to 500 KVA complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note :- Coil to be replaced shall have same number of turns, gauge insulation value matching with manufacturer’s design.
20Supplying and fixing of LT coils made out of super enamelled LT copper strip of transformers having capacity 50 to 500 KVA acomplete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.Note :- Coil to be replaced shall have same number of turns, gauge insulation value matching with manufacturer’s design.
21Material and labour for strip opening of transformer of capacity 50 to 160 KVA, 11 KV /433 volts indoor /outdoor type of any make after unscrewing nuts & bolts, screws and connected accessories such as breather, conservator tank, temp gauge etc. for replacement of defective parts such as replacement of leaking gaskets, replacement of worn out/burnt out studs, checking and cleaning of contacts of tap changer and re-assembling the transformer after replacing the defective parts/repair and testing to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge complete all as directed. Notes : (i) Any spare/parts if replaced shall be measured and paid for separately under respective item of this schedule as supply only.(ii) The cost for replacement of packing material such as top gasket, shall deem to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor against this item(iii) The repair/strip opening of transformers shall be carried out at site of its installation without taking down/removal of transformer from the site of installation.
22All as per serial item 20 here-in-before but of transformer fo capacity 200 KVA to 750 KVA complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge..
23Supply only LT porcelain bushing and heat resistance gasket with brass/copper studs washer and rubber bush etc for transformer of Capacity up to 250 KVA complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
24Supply only LT porcelain bushing and heat resistance gasket with brass/copper studs washer and rubber bush etc for transformer of Capacity 300 KVA to 750KVA complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
