Name of Work:- REPAIRS / MAINTENANCE TO DG SETS, FIRE FIGHTING NETWORK AND OTHER MISC E/M WORKS AT NAD, TECHNICAL BUILDING AT INS DEGA AND ADJACENT AREAS ALONG WITH CERTAIN E/M AMD B/R SERVICES OF NCN KAKINADA OTHER CERTAIN INSTALLATION AND CONNECTED WORKS WITH CERTAIN WATER SUPPLY WORKS UNDER GE (UTILITY-II) VISAKHAPATNAM

1Material and Labour for servicing of DG set of capacity 500 KVA of existing Make and modelby carrying out the following maintenance as per manufacturers instructions including cleaning the engine, alternator, inferiors and exteriors of acoustic enclosure completely by blowering and with cotton waste and testing on completion at connected load, complete all as specified and directed:-(a) Draining out engine oil from the sump by removing drain plug, cleaning the sump thoroughly and refilling the sump with new engine oil to required level (Note: Engine Oil will be measured and paid separately as 'Supply Only').(b) Draining out of diesel from tank and storing in cleaned containers, cleaning the tank thoroughly by removing sediments settled at the bottom and refilling the drained out diesel duly filtered.(c) Supply and replace complete set of engine oil filters, fuel filters, Bypass filter, air cleaner element and water separator.(d) Draining out complete coolant water mixture from the radiator and re-filling the radiator with new coolant and water mixture with proportionate ratio (Note: Coolant will be measured and paid separately as 'Supply Only').(e) Check and top up the electrolyte/distilled water in starting batteries to maintain the required specific gravity. Cleaning of battery terminals & applying petroleum jelly to battery poles & brass connectors.(f) Checking and Tightening all the fasteners of complete DG set to the required torque, if required.

21Supply and replace 'V' belt suitable for existing make & model of DG set 400 KVA to 500 KVA capacity, complete all as specified and directed.

24Supply and replace complete set of hoses with clamps suitable for existing make & model of DG set 400 KVA to 500 KVA capacity, complete all as specified and directed.

27De-scaling of radiator assembly by carefully removing from the engine, transporting to civil workshop and removing the sediments, scales and rust etc by means of acid cleaning, high pressure water washing and air cleaning, arresting the leakages by gas welding / soldering with suitable material, re-assembling the same with new gaskets including replacement of radiator cap (wherever required) and transporting to the site, fixing to the engine for DG Set of capacity 400 KVA to 500 KVA and testing for satisfactory performance, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

51Dismantling the defective 24 V battery charging alternator carefully from any capacity of DG set and carryout repair and servicing by cleaning all accessories with suitable cleaning agent and supply and replace carbon brush, brush holders, bushes/bearings, varnishing etc, re-assembling and re-fixing the same and testing on completion complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

53Supply and fix RPM Meter with cable suitable for DG Set including taking down of existing unserviceable meter complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
54Supply and fix Oil Pressure Gauge suitable for DG Sets including taking down existing unserviceable gauge, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
55Supply and fix Water Temperature Gauge suitable for DG Sets including taking down existing unserviceable gauge complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
56Supply and connect battery connecting cable (1.50m long each) made out of PVC Insulated Plain/Striped Automobile Cables with high conductivity bright annealed copper conductor bunched together, insulated with dielectric grade PVC compound (impervious to oils, greases, acids, petrol and water) conforming to IS 2465 of size 25 sqmm soldered one end with brass connector with nuts and bolts for battery pole and the other with copper lug for self starter terminal including taking down of existing u/s battery connecting cable with connector and lug of any description complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
57Supply and replace brass connector with bolt and nut suitable for positive/negative pole of battery of any size, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
58Taking down unserviceable engine wiring and Material & Labour for rewiring of engine safety control system from control panel to engine control gadgets like HWT, LLOP, shut down valve, dynamo & self-starter etc with suitable gauge and grade of wires for DG set of capacity from 400KVA to 500 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

61Dismantling the defective self starter assembly 12V/24V carefully from the DG set and carryout repair and servicing by cleaning all accessories with suitable cleaning agent and supply and replace commutator, carbon brush set, carbon brush holder, king pin holder, armature choke nut, body screens, clutch plate assembly and solenoid etc, re-assembling and re-fixing the same and testing on completion for DG set of capacity from 400 KVA to 500 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

68Dismantling the defective alternator from DG set, transporting to civil work shop, separating the stator and rotor from alternator housing, cutting and removing burnt winding of stator completely, cleaning the slots and rewinding the stator with existing gauge of super enamelled copper wire with suitable grade of insulation, applying varnish and heating in heating chamber till completely dried and reassembling the alternator, transporting back to site and re-fixing to the DG set including proper alignment for smooth running and testing on completion for DG set of capacity 400 KVA to 500 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
