| 13 | Material and labour for providing lowering, laying, aligning, testing and commissioning of Precast Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) Bio-Septic Tank of active working capacity 10 KL (10,000 Litres) suitable for approximately 130 users, comprising 03 compartments/partitions and complete with 01 No. manhole opening with cover and vent shaft complete as described below and as specified in Particular speciation and as directed by the Engineer-n-Charge :-[i] The tank shall consist of precast/monolithic shell, internal partitions and top slab manufactured using Design Mix Concrete of Grade M40 conforming to IS 456 and reinforced with High Yield Strength Deformed corrosion-resistant TMT bars conforming to IS 1786 (Grade Fe 500D/Fe 550D). [ii] The bio-septic tank shall be designed and manufactured in accordance with DRDO–ABD (Anaerobic Biological Digestion) technology parameters for treatment and disposal of sewage sludge. |
| 14 | [iii] The work includes excavation in any type of soil, preparation of foundation with sand filling, hard core and 100 mm thick PCC (1:3:6) (M10) bedding, lowering and positioning of the tank using suitable mechanical crane/hoist, sealing all joints with approved high-strength non-shrink waterproof grout, conducting water-tightness test at site and commissioning complete.[iv] The item also includes supply and charging of initial dosage of DRDO-approved Anaerobic Microbial Inoculum (AMI) culture, backfilling around the structure with approved excavated soil in layers not exceeding 200 mm thickness including watering and ramming, brick masonry in cement mortar 1:4 for side wall support, sand filling in balance gaps between tank and wall, and finishing the top surface with hard core, PCC (1:4:8) and PCC (1:2:4), complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 15 | [v] The contractor shall submit a structural stability certificate of bio septic tank duly vetted by IIT Madras (or) NIT Trichy (or) Anna University (or) from any Government Engineering colleges for approval of Bio Septic tank prior to execution.[vi] The contractor shall also submit an extended warranty certificate as specified in Particular Specifications. |
