1Clearing grass and removal of rubbish up to a distance of 30 m outside the periphery of the area as per Technical Specifications Clause 201 for Rural Roads of MORD.By Manual Means
2Construction of Subgrade and Earthen Shoulders Construction of subgrade and earthen shoulders with approved material obtained from borrow pits with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of Table 300.2 with lead upto 1000 m as per Technical Specification Clause 303.1 for Rural Roads of MORD. (Borrow pit /pre work post work measurement) e) Carriage up to total lead of 5.0 km.
3Box cutting or filling in Road embankment in all sorts of soil including spreading the spoils properly over the flank as necessary or on berm to approximate grade & camber and rolling the sub-grade with power roller to proper camber and grade as per direction and satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge including uprooting and removing plants and jungles when and where necessary. (a) Depth up to 150 mm.
4(b) For each additional Depth of 150mm and part thereof.
5(A) Filling in foundation or plinth by silver sand in layer not exceeding 150mm as directed and consolidating the same by through saturation with water ramming complete including the cost of supply of sand. (payment to be made on measurement of finished quantity)
6Construction of Sub Base using Local Materials : Construction of Sub Base using Local Materials, spreading in uniform layers with Motor grader on prepared surface, including screening the metal as necessary, mixing by mix in place method with Rotavator at OMC, and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density, lighting, guarding and barricading including cost and carriage of all materials and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre wide on each side to protect the edges complete as per Clause 401 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). (i) For Construction of Sub Base by compacting 1st class brick aggregates (40 mm down) sand (in proportion of 60:40). Note : Add cost at site of 0.90 m3 of brick aggregates and 0.48 m3 of medium sand (loose volume) to arrive at the consolidated rate.
7Water Bound Macadam Base Course :Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening / binding materials to fill up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering including lighting, guarding, barricading and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre width on each side and preparing the bed by necessary cutting or filling, including cost of all materials and hire and labour charges of all men and machinery and compacting to the required density, as per Clause 404 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). (ii) Grading-I Aggregate (63 mm to 45 mm) Using Stone Screening Type B (11.2 mm) Note : Add cost at site of 1.21 m³ of Grading-I Aggregates & 0.24 m³ Stone Screening Type-B to arrive at the complete rate. B. Manual Means
8(iii) Grading-II Aggregate (53 mm to 22.4 mm) UsingStone Screening Type B (11.2 mm) Note : Add cost at site of 1.21 m³ of Grading-2 Aggregates & 0.24 m³ Stone Screening Type-B to arrive at the complete rate. B. Manual Means
9Prime Coat :Providing and applying primer coat with Cationic Bitumen Emulsion of approved grade conforming to IS: 8887-1978 and requisite quantity on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer using Mechanical means including cost and carriage of bitumen emulsion and all other incidental costs of work complete as per Clause 502 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). (i) For WBM / WMM Surface:(with primer @ 0.70-1.0 kg/sqm) Note : Add cost and carriages of materials as per requirement vide Table 3.3-1 of Section 3 to get the final consolidated rate.
10Tack CoatProviding and applying tack coat with Cationic Bitumen Emulsion of approved grade conforming to IS: 8887-1978 on the prepared surface cleaned with Hydraulic broom, moistening the surface including cost and carriage of emulsion, hire charges of machinery and labour, cost of fuel and lubricants all complete as per Clause 503 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). (i) On Bituminous Surface(Using Bitumen Emulsion at the rate of 0.20 to 0.30 kg per sqm.) Note : Add cost & carriages of materials as per requirement vide Table 3.3-1 of Section 3 to get the final consolidated rate.
11Open-Graded Premix Surfacing using Bituminous (Viscosity grade Paving Bitumen / Modified bitumen) Binder and Mobile Hot Mix Plant (Light Duty) Providing, laying and rolling of Open - graded premix surfacing of 20 mm thickness composed of 13.2 mm (@ 0.018 m³ per m²) and 11.2 mm (@ 0.009 m³ per m²) size stone aggregates, including thoroughly cleaning of the surface, screening, cleaning and pre-heating stone chips and fully pre-coating the same either using viscosity grade paving bitumen or cut-back or emulsion, carrying the mixture by any suitable arrangements, laying the mixture uniformly over the surface, including line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in Mobile Hot Mix Plant (Light Duty) and thoroughly rolling with a smooth wheeled roller 8-10 tonne capacity, finished to required level and grades including the cost and carriage of stone chips and matrix, heating the matrix, preheating the aggregates to required temperature and including the hire charges of Mobile Hot Mix Plant (Light Duty) and other machinery, pay of operators, cost of fuel and lubricants etc. complete to be followed by seal coat of either Type A or Type B as per Technical Specification Clause 508 for Rural Roads of MORD. Note : Add cost & carriages of materials as per requirementvide Table 3.3-1 of Section 3 to get the final consolidated rate.
12Carrying Cl/DI pipes with specials and valves and lowering placing in position and laying carefully inside the trenches in proper alignment and gradient etc. including earth work in excavation of adequate width as per specification having min. clear cover from top of pipe is 1.10mtr. below existing ground level in any kind of soil including mixed with boulder, road sub-grade and its flank,but excluding moorum and laterite and stone etc.without damaging the exisiting telephone/electric cable etc.(in case of damaged if any type of cable line during excecution , necessary damaged charges as applicable by the respective authority will be borne by the agency in his own cost) preparing the bottom surface for continuous bedding of pipe line and laying pipes, fitting, fixing specials and valves with bailing out water if any including carriage of pipes, specials and valves from local deptt. store within 8KM and back filling the trenches with excavated earth in layers to original condition as per specification and direction of EIC. The surplus materials after execution of work are to be return to the deptt. store. N.B: i) Any deviation from required clear cover of 1.10mtr., due to site adverse condition, prior permission is to be obtained from the EIC in exceptional situation and payment will be made on prorate basis over the rate of entire item ii) No payment will be made without hydraulic test of the pipe line either part or full iii) The pipes, specials and valves , rubber gasket will be supplied deptt. free of cost. 200mm dia. DI K-7
13Cutting DI pipe (all class & type) to required length with cutting device etc. and grinding the cutting portion with file as per direction and satisfaction of EIC. b) 150 mm. dia. to 200 mm. dia. Pipe.
14Chamfering the spigot end of all type/class of DI pipe for proper using of push joint by means of grinder set at site for proper joint etc. all complete as per direction of EIC. e) 200 mm. dia.
15Supplying HDPE (Materials grade PE-100) pipes conforming to IS 4984- 1995 with latest revision & amendments if any with necessary HDPE specials (excluding cost of CIDF valves) including labour charges for earth work in excavation in any kind of soil including mixed soil with boulder,road sub-grade and aits flank but excluding moorum laterite or sand stone / hard rock cutting with chisel required including cutting road flank/ brick pavement etc. without damaging the exisiting telephone/electrical cable line etc.(in case of damage of any type of cable line by the agency at the time of execution necessary damage charge as applicable by the respective authority will have to be brone by the agency at his own cost)upto the depth (av.) so as to maintain 1.10m.earth cushion from top of the pipe upto G.L. including loading unloading carrying lowering laying fitting fixing carefully pipes, valves and specials with the all types of jointing materials in trenches maintaining proper levels and alignment jointing the pipes and specials by butt welding/ adopting suitable method (But weld jointing with help of hydraulic tack and trimming machines, Hitter etc. for reaching at necessary melting point of HDPE pipe so that joint can be monolithic) so as to facilitate the maintenance of pipe line locally as per conventional method in future. (A) Pressure Rating : PN 6 (ii) Laying of pipe line including cost of pipe & fittings/ specials but excluding cost of valves. 90mm (OD)
16Filling the pipe line with water, testing hydraulically as per I.S 3114-1965 (Article-6) in section of a length not exceeding 500mtr. for head of pressure as per specification including supplying installing and fixing all equipments such as diesel pump set, blank flange, pressure gauge, valve, pressure pump and all other tools and plants including drilling topping and plugging of necessary holes to pipes, blocking ends providing temporary thrust block and subsequent blocking of holes and other jointing materials and dismantling and removal of the same including disposal of water etc. all complete as per specification and direction of EIC. The rate is inclusive of cost of requisite water to be arranged by the contractor (Recovery rate of water @ Rs.10.00/m3, if contractor used water from deptt. source). A) For Cl/DI pipe 200mm dia.
17B) For UPVC/HDPE Pipe 90mm (OD)
18Cleaning thoroughly the inner surface of pipe line including specials and valves by flushing with water and subsequently disinfection of the same pipe line by flushing again with water containing bleaching powder resulting in residual chlorine not less than 15mg/Itrs. after 24hrs. of such filling including laboratory testing of water samples obtain from the disinfested pipe line and disposal of water from the pipe line after completion of the work. The rates including of cost of requisite water to be arranged by the contractor) (The rate of water @Rs. 10/m3 may be recovered, if the contractor used water from deptt. source).
