The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two layers on outer face one layer on inner face to make the joints leak proof and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. The laying of pipes should be conformed to IS: 5822-1994 (earth work in trenches, MS flanges and butt welded joint to be measured and paid for separately). The pipe shall have zinc coating inside and out side as per IS. 4736 in factory premises latest with upto date amendments. |
