| 1 | Excavation in foundation and trenches etc. (in pipes and pits) in all kinds of soils such as pick work, jumper work, blasting in soft/hard rock, chiselling/wedging out of rock/where blasting prohibited)saturated soil stacking the excavated earth within all leads and lifts clear from the edge of excavation and then returning the stacked soil in 15cm layers when required into plinth sides of foundation etc. consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering and then disposting of all surplus excavated earth as directed within all leads and lifts including uprooting of trees dressing of beds, and sides and preparation of sub-grade, restoration of unmetalled/metalled/paved surfaces to its original condition including soring, strutting, timbering and dewatering where ever houses, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. |
| 2 | Providing Laying, Jointing & testing (by way of circumfrential butt welded joints in three layers by by electrical arc welding 90%)and testing of GMSERW pipe of following dia meters confirming to ISO 3183-2007. (latest with upto date ammendment) having wall thickness and grade as specified below with be levelled ends and capable of with standing required test pressure in a random length of 5 to 7 meters, including manufacturing reducers/ tapers,all short pieces,bed etc. as per site requirement made from parent tubes. The laying of pipe shall include all operation such as cutting, welding, jointing, fabrication of bends tees etc. including lowering and laying in excavated trenches to ensure required level including fluslhing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects to the satisfaction of the Engineer in charge .The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts having its readius not less than five times the dia of pipe. The pipes shall be factory galvanized (zinc coating both inside and outside) as per IS 4736-1986 (with upto date ammendments) The welding electrodes shall be as per IS 814-2004 of of Advani Oerlikon/ L&T or ISI marked make. Tollerence should be as per IS code.The rates also includes entire carriage of material. flushing cleaning & hydraulic testing complete to the best satisfaction & direction of Engineer in charge with in all leads aand lifts. (Earth work in trenches shall be measured and paid for separately) The d esign / drawing so approved by the competeant authority after finalisation of design and drawing any variation in size of pipe, material pipe class wall thckness, jointing vavles, specials etc. |

The laying of pipe shall also include flanged joints duly welded in three layers (Two inner & one outer) where ever required as per direction of the Engineer in charge (Earth work in trenches and the cost of providing flanges i/c nut & bolts gasket will be measured and paid for separately and all operations such as cutting, welding jointing fabrication of tees i.e lowering and laying in excavated trench to ensure required level including flushing ,cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respect to the entire satisfaction of the Enginer in charge .The welding electrodes shall be as per IS 814 of Advani Oer likon/ L&T or ISI marked make. The damaged portion of the pipes and all the specials( if damaged during laying &jointing operation of pipe) made form the parent tube shall be provided anticorrosive treatment by applying two coats of anticorrosive bituminous paint over a priming coat as per AWWA specifications C-203-1978 The Rates also includes entire carriage of material flushing cleaning & hydraulic testing D.P test of butt welded joints Complete in all respect as per direction of Engineer in charge with in all leads and lifts. |
