3Taking out carefully the slip ring set of the induction motor by removing the connection from the LRS unit and dismantling the top cover and bearing. (Open Quotation)
4Taking out the 3.3 KV /6.6 KV sq. cage induction Motor from coupling end of 100/150 cusec vertical axial flow propeller pump after dismantling all connection including earthing etc. The motor is to be kept on wooden sleeper at a suitable distance from the floor without damaging the earthing strips and cables etc. as per direction of E.I.C... 5Dismantling the 6 kv HT motor after tripping the VCB manually & disconnection of the power & control cables after opening bolts and nuts, with the help of overhead crane & proper tools & tackels, and also stacking the HT power cable & Control cable on wooden sleeper at a suitable place as per direction of EIC... 6Conducting statutory testing of the slip-ring such as resistance measurement, induction measurement, high pressure test as per relevant IS code of 6 kv motor and complete in all respect with proper care & caution. (Open Quotation)
7Disassembling the motor end and opening of end shield covers, stator coil guard, taking out the rotor from the stator and placing it on the proper arrangement by hoisting mechanism. Thoroughly cleaning of the stator coil insulations, motor bearings, rotor core surface and end ring joints to demoisturishing of the deposited carbon with carbon tetrachloride and heating the stator by silicon heating elemenys periodicaly at a required temperature and covered with terpulin for heat protection along with the arrangement of compressedf air to blow the vapour moisture and to develop its IR value and varnishing with Dr. Beck’s graded CLASS-H varnish including jel epoxy coatying tyo prevent from the moisture Upto 475KW squirrelcage Induction motor of voltage rating 6.6KV... .. 16Rotor core Surface to be cleaned washed & dressed by proper way using CTC detergent. A light coat varnish to be applied on the rotor core after complete dressing and proper baking. and laminated wedges to be inserted in the slot portion. 19Entire rotor core & winding assembly to be baked and varnished by using Dr. Beck's makes varnish. Thereafter, final coating of varnish to be applied for anti-coated moisture protecting tropical paint (Dr. Beck's paint). and Heat treatment of rotor by inserting it inside a heat chmaber for 72 hours... 20S & F of 4m. Length of 95 sq.mm. /3.3 KV/6.6 KV grade H.T. glass copper leads with end finishing by 95 sq.mm. heavy duty dowells copper lug at STAR conn. Terminal leads including replacement of glass fibre terminal block and SS bolts etc. (I&W SCH-2022, ITEM NO- 5.3.J.4, P-125)
21Properly cheeking, testing of developed IR value of the motor, leakage factor of bushings, terminal shortings, IR value of G.F.blocks etc. after the necessary repairing works for 3.3 KV /6.6 KV sq. cage induction Motor… (I&W SCH-2022, ITEM NO- 5.3.J.8, P-125)
22Repairing of slip ring by first remove all the insulated sheath of Ring unit and gradually open out individually from its base. Then clean the slip-ring base unit thoroughly by heating arrangement and open out the damaged insulation layer upto the fully bare condition. After the metalizing of the damaged portion of the base unit of slip-ring it is to be sent to machine shop for alignment and smoothing of the outer & inner surface along with making key slots for making the locking arrangement with the motor shaft. After proper Machining & polishing the outer & inner surface of slip-ring unit and lapping it with 6 mm insulation sheet to its base and casting it whole with the insulation to insulate each phase of the rotor properly. After completion of insulation arrangement, slip-ring unit will be fit and fix its base individually maintain proper alignment of each ring as per motor design. The rings will be locked individually to its base. Finally insulate the whole unit by Dr Beck varnish to insulate from dirt & dust before re-alignment of complete slip-ring unit assembly for the last time... (Open Quotation).
