| 6 | Providing and fixing of rigid uPVC casing pipe of 225 mm nominal outer diameter (9 inch), minimum wall -4 mm, UV-stabilised (non-pressure casing grade), as slip-casing over round ST/STP poles from ground level up to 8 ft (approx. 2.5 m per pole); the bore (~217 mm) fits all pole classes-9m (-140 mm), 11 m (-165 mm) and 13 m (~194 mm base, per IS 2713). The pipe shall be slipped over the pole (or longitudinally slit and closed around it) and secured with a minimum of 3 nos MS clamps (top, middle and bottom), the clamps being welded to hold the casing firmly in position. Applicable to round poles. All material to be supplied by the contractor. |
| 7 | Insulate stay with >=50 micron plastic-sheet wrapping (min. 2 layers, 50% 10 overlap) Wrapping must be tighten with tape at min 4 places. Material by contractor. |
| 8 | Providing and fixing of rigid uPVC pipe of 32 mm nominal outer diameter (1 inch), wall thickness 2-3 mm, as casing over the stay/guy wire (approx. 2.5 m per stay) to insulate it from public contact; the pipe shall be secured with a minimum of 3 nos MS clamps and end caps, the clamps being welded to hold the casing firmly in position. All material to be supplied by the contractor. |
| 9 | Providing and applying high-intensity retro-reflective radium tape, >=50 mm wide, Class-2 (engineering grade), weatherproof & UV-resistant, as warning bands on insulated poles, stays, guards & flex frames, Supply and application both in contractor's scope. |
| 10 | Bamboo (baans-balli) fencing/barricading of distribution transformers/double pole/four pole structure kept in open, approx. 6 ft height from ground or say road, using sound seasoned bamboo lashed with GI binding wire to form an all- round barricade keeping the public away from live equipment. All material by contractor. 3 layer bamboo and space between two bamboo should not be more than 1 meter. Measured & paid per running metre (height is already fixed) of barricade erected; all material by contractor. |
| 11 | Fixing/correcting stay insulator (porcelain/polymer, approved make) & stay on poles, with stay tension as per standard practice. Stay insulator by contractor. |
| 12 | Providing and fixing of safety-flex warning hoarding at pandaals, temples & crossing points-DESIGN of the flex (as per electrical safety norms, statutory caution and publicity/IEC content) to be prepared by the contractor and got approved/finalised from the Department before printing; star-flex >=440 GSM, full-colour print with hazard pictogram & bilingual caution ('KHATRA-BIJLI / DANGER-ELECTRICITY\\"), minimum 8 ft x 4 ft (approx. 32 sq ft), mounted on painted MS/GJ angle frame and securely grouted/clamped.
