Double Girder Overhead Transverse Crane: Design, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of Double girder overhead gantry mechanical crane with 5-ton capacity for lifting the Heavy-Duty machinery installed at CPS R22 for the pumping room size 26 x12x10 in feet for lifting heavy duty pumping machinery. The crane consists of a manual monorail trolley of 5-ton capacity with heavy duty chain Lift 8 mtrs to be provided for the operations of cross travel movement (longitudinal and transverse/diagonal) and lifting of heavy electrical and mechanical equipments. The crane should span the longitudinal and cross travels by means of travel through single girder monorail trolley fixed on main girder which is to travel on fabricated beams of proper specifications and design, attachments to be fixed on which wheels of monorail trolley move. The monorail trolley with chain block has to be move on the main girder ISMB 200mm of the crane.The mechanical crane shall comprise of a monorail trolley and chain block, confirming to IS 3938 cross travel and longitudinal movement of loads with following specifications. The manual monorail trolley shall be installed on the main transverse Indian standard steel beam of ISMB series suitable to take load of trolley with chain block and lifting of electrical and mechanical equipments. MS structure shall be fabricated at site inside the building area of size 25 x11x10 in feet for installation on single girder crane for movement to and fro/latitude/cross travel. Fabrication of Structure at site as per capacity of crane by designing of accurate span of pier to pier and with foundation for piers with ISMC 250MM on all four sides and ISMC 250MM for cross way travel and top plate with stiffeners Making of foundation Block of all the pillars for strengthening .. Fixing main transverse girders to be mounted on LT travel ISMB beam should be fixed on fabricated piers top plate in accurate alignment. The job comprises of following fabrications for interconnecting crane structure. Trackers should be fabricated out of proper size and specifications according to design. Trackers mounted on the ISMB girder on which square plate is to welded for trackers to run in proper alignment. Crane shall travel longitudinal with bearings and couplings and gears with chain. All components are to be designed for strength and adequacy for the operation as per defined requirements.1) Hoisting capacity: 5-ton capacity Overhead Transverse crane2) Span (Latitudinal/Transverse travel): As per the Pumping room size as mentioned.3) Lift: 8 M4) Longitudinal/transverse/cross-travel travel: As per the Pumping room size as mentionedISMB and ISMC should be of sufficient strength to carry out/lift the heavy duty machinery and must conforms to latest amendments under ISO Code.
