| 1 | Supply and fixing in replacement of Distance-To-Go Marker (DTGM) Board made of engineering-grade plastic having a monolithic structure designed to withstand extreme temperature variations (from extreme cold environments to Sweltering hot conditions) and conforming to the frangibility requirements applicable to objects located within the runway strip. The board shall be Structure specially reinforced with Antimony Trioxide and Methyl Amine Acrylate to withstand high wind velocities and adverse environmental conditions. The DTGM board shall be of size 4.0 ft × 4.0 ft on each face including retro-reflective numerals/alphabets on board and mounted on a supporting framework fabricated from MS square pipes of size 25 mm to 40 mm as required and shall include supporting couplings comprising 75 mm dia × 200 mm long aluminium threaded (both side thread) pipes with necessary screws, nuts, bolts, washers, base plate and fittings and all associated components required for proper functioning and stability of the board. The work shall also include dismantling of unserviceable board, necessary earth work, PCC (1:2:4) as required for fixing, alignment, painting of steel components where required, and all labour, tools, plants, transportation, and incidental works necessary for satisfactory completion of the work complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Note : The design, dimensions, colour scheme, location, retro-reflectivity, frangibility, and installation of DTGM boards shall conform to the requirements of ICAO Annex 14 – Aerodromes, Volume I.Make: Vibgyor Industries, S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali / Dension Multiways, Mohali / Astro Infracon Private Limited, Chandigarh or equivalent approved by the GE. |
| 2 | Supply and fixing in replacement of Signage Board comprising a panel of size 2.10 m × 0.84 m, consisting of an inner acrylic sheet 1.0 mm thick and an outer transparent Perspex sheet 3.0 mm thick, fixed within a frame fabricated from aluminium square sections of suitable size. Providing and fixing approved numerals, letters, digits, symbols, signs, markings, and lines as per the sample/design supplied by User/ATC, executed on a reflective base using reflective tape and/or reflective stickers affixed to the 1.0 mm thick acrylic sheet. The complete assembly shall be enclosed with 3.0 mm thick transparent Perspex sheets and secured with suitable rubber beading, fasteners, and accessories. The work shall also include dismantling of unserviceable Signage board, cutting, fabrication, fixing, sealing, alignment, and all labour, tools and plants, transportation, and incidental works necessary for satisfactory completion of the work, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 3 | Material and Labour for carefully removing/raking out existing damaged, faded, or unserviceable retro-reflective tapes from Distance-To-Go Marker (DTGM) boards and preparing the surface for application of new markings. Supply and fixing of approved quality retro-reflective tape forming numerals, alphabets, symbols, and markings as required, including cutting, positioning, alignment, adhesion, finishing, and all necessary accessories. The total area of retro-reflective tape shall not exceed 0.60 square metre per DTGM board. The work shall be carried out complete in all respects, including cleaning of the surface, removal of adhesive residues, and all labour, tools and plants, transportation, and incidental works necessary for satisfactory completion, as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 4 | Maintenance and clearance of airfield shoulders by cutting and removing grass, vegetation, shrubs, bushes, and small trees using a Jungle Jim mower/brush cutter mounted on or operated with a tractor engaged on hire basis, including provision of tractor, fuel, operator/driver, tools and plants, and disposal of cut vegetation and rubbish to locations as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, complete in all respects as specified and directed.Notes:(a) Depending upon operational requirements and directions of the User/ATC, 02 to 03 tractors equipped with Jungle Jim mower/brush cutter attachments shall be deployed on any working day and at such times as may be directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.(b) In the event of failure by the Contractor to provide the required Jungle Jim unit(s) as directed, a recovery of ₹1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) per Jungle Jim per day of default shall be levied and recovered from the Contractor's dues.(c) All tractors, Jungle Jim equipment, operators, and drivers deployed for the work shall possess valid and up-to-date documents, including registration, insurance, fitness certificate, driving licence, and security entry passes as applicable. The Contractor shall ensure compliance with all security and operational requirements of the station.(d) The reporting and dispersal point for the Jungle Jim units shall be User/ATC, Prahar, or any other location as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Working hours shall be reckoned from the reporting point to the dispersal point, excluding the lunch break period.(e) The rates quoted shall be deemed to include all costs towards hiring of tractors and equipment, fuel, lubricants, operators/drivers, maintenance, transportation, security clearances, tools and plants, disposal of cut vegetation, and all incidental expenses necessary for satisfactory completion of the work. No extra payment shall be admissible on these accounts.(f) The actual working hours of each Jungle Jim unit shall be recorded in the Log Book by the concerned Junior Engineer (JE). The Log Book shall be jointly verified and signed by the Contractor or his authorized representative and the Engineer-in-Charge. A copy of the duly completed and signed Log Book for the relevant period shall be submitted along with each Running Account Receipt (RAR) bill in support of the claim. |
| 5 | Maintenance and clearance of Airfield shoulders by cutting and removing grass, vegetation, shrubs, bushes, and small trees using motor-driven bush cutters/grass cutting machines along with manual labour in areas adjacent to traffic lights, runway shoulders, and other locations not accessible to Jungle Jim equipment. The item shall include collection, removal, and disposal of cut vegetation and rubbish to locations as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, complete in all respects as specified and directed.Notes:(a) Depending upon operational and User/ATC requirements, a minimum of three (03) motor-driven bush cutters/grass cutting machines, along with the required operators and labour, shall be deployed on any working day, unless otherwise directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.(b) In the event of failure by the Contractor to provide the required bush cutter(s) as directed, a recovery of ₹300/- (Rupees Three Hundred only) per bush cutter per day of default shall be levied and recovered from the Contractor's dues.(c) The rates quoted shall be deemed to include the cost of bush cutters/grass cutting machines, fuel, lubricants, operators, labour, tools and plants, transportation, safety equipment, disposal of cut vegetation, and all incidental expenses necessary for satisfactory completion of the work. No extra payment shall be admissible on these accounts.(d) Deployment bush cutters and labour shall be recorded in the Log Book by the concerned Junior Engineer and jointly verified by the Contractor's representative and the Engineer-in-Charge. The authenticated records shall be submitted along with the relevant RAR bill for payment purposes. |
| 6 | Removing grass encroaching onto the edges of Runway, Parallel Taxi Track (PTT), and loops, manually from sides of the Runway, PTT, and loops using spades, shovels, and other suitable hand tools with manual labour. The work shall include uprooting and removal of grass, weeds, and other vegetation growing within a width 0.30 metre from the edge of concrete/PQC pavement, as directed by the Ground Executive or as required by the User/ATC.The item shall also include collection, loading, removal, and disposal of all cut vegetation and rubbish to locations as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, complete in all respects as specified and directed.Note:(a) Depending upon operational requirements and directions of the User/ATC, 02 to 04 labourers along with all necessary hand tools and equipment shall report to ATC at 0900 hours on each working day. The requirement of labour shall be intimated to the Contractor on a day-to-day basis by the Engineer-in-Charge.(b) The rates quoted shall be deemed to include the cost of labour, tools and plants, transportation, supervision, disposal of vegetation and rubbish, and all incidental expenses necessary for satisfactory completion of the work. No extra payment shall be admissible on this account.(c) Daily attendance and working hours of labour deployed for the work shall be recorded in the book/register and duly verified by the Contractor's representative and the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 7 | Material and labour for Preparation of old painted surfaces and applying one coat of Synthetic enamel paint, using a paint brush or paint roller. The paint shall be of first quality and available in any tint like White, Black, Red, Yellow, and Orange colours. | 8 | Notes for all items :- (a) The Contractor shall obtain prior approval from the Garrison Engineer (GE) for all machinery, equipment, vehicles, tools and plants proposed for deployment under the contract. No machinery or equipment shall be brought into or operated at the work site without such approval.(b) The Contractor shall provide a separate Log Book for each machine deployed on the work, or as otherwise directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, for recording details of deployment, working hours, location of work, and any other particulars considered necessary. The cost of providing, and submitting such Log Books shall be deemed to be included in the rates quoted by the Contractor, and no extra payment whatsoever shall be admissible on this account. |
