| 1 | Material and labour for Preparation of old painted surfaces by removal of old layers of paints followed by scraping with metal brushes, MS pattis, and other suitable tools as required and surface shall thoroughly cleaned by sweeping and removal of all loose material. Thereafter, applying one coat of water-based road marking paint conforming to IS:164 : 2023, using a mechanical pavement marking machine with airless spray application system, equipped with a minimum of two spray guns and having adequate capacity and performance for efficient execution of the work. The paint shall be matt finished and of approved colours, viz. White, Golden Yellow, Deep Orange, Red, Black, or any other colour. The work shall include marking of lines, dashes, arrows, letters, circles, triangles, and similar traffic markings/runway marking on concrete or bituminous pavements/surfaces, exceeding 10 cm in width, complete in all respects, including surface preparation, removal of existing markings, application of paint, curing, and all labour, tools and plants, equipment, transportation, and incidental works necessary for satisfactory completion of the work, as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Make of paint : PPG Apcotrak of Asian Paints / Guideline RM 164 of Berger / Nerolac Pearls Road Marking Paint / AkzoNobel of Dulux Professional Road Marking Paint or Techno commercial equivalent in reputed brand approved by GE. |

| 3 | Material and labour for Complete removal of existing road/runway marking paint by means of hot air/electric blower for effective softening and obliteration of old markings, followed by scraping with metal brushes, MS pattis, and other suitable tools as required. The surface shall thereafter be thoroughly cleaned by sweeping and removal of all loose material to prepare it for modification of the existing marking pattern to the new approved pattern. Thereafter, apply one coat of water-based road marking paint conforming to IS 164:2023. The paint shall be applied by paint brush or paint roller for small markings/patterns and by a mechanical pavement marking machine with an airless spray application system for large markings/patterns. The paint shall be matt finished and of approved colours, viz. White, Golden Yellow, Deep Orange, Red, Black, or any other colour required for airfield pavements and associated areas. The work shall include marking of lines, dashes, arrows, letters, numerals, circles, triangles, runway markings, taxiway markings, apron markings, and other pavement markings on concrete or bituminous surfaces, exceeding 10 cm in width, complete in all respects, including surface preparation, removal of existing markings, application of paint, curing, and all labour, tools and plants, equipment, transportation, and incidental works necessary for satisfactory completion of the work, as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.Make of paint : PPG Apcotrak of Asian Paints / Guideline RM 164 of Berger / Nerolac Pearls Road Marking Paint / AkzoNobel of Dulux Professional Road Marking Paint or Techno commercial equivalent in reputed brand approved by GE. |

| 5 | Material and labour for Preparation of old surfaces and applying one coat of white wash using a paint brush on boulder or concrete surfaces/pavements complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 6 | Notes for all items of BOQ :- (a) Contractor shall procure the material only after written approval of GE. The paint shall be purchased directly from the manufacturer or authorized dealer. No material shall be allowed to be used which was procured prior to the issue of work order. The purchase voucher shall be submitted by the contractor along with manufacturer test certificate for same batch. All the purchase vouchers for quantities incorporated in the contract should be verified and defaced by Engineer-in-Charge and same should be kept on record. The purchase vouchers of all the materials for entire quantity should be recorded in Measurement Book as ‘not to be abstract’.(b) The Contractor shall procure and arrange the required quantities of materials immediately upon placement of the Work Order, as per the requirement of the first quarter and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The materials required for the second and third quarters shall be procured and made available at least one week prior to the commencement of the respective quarter or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.(c) All materials brought to site shall be stored in the custody of the Engineer-in-Charge under a double lock-and-key system. One key shall remain with the Engineer-in-Charge and the other with the Contractor’s authorized representative. The Contractor shall be responsible for safe transportation, handling, stacking, and preservation of the materials until their final consumption.(d) The stored materials shall be issued by the Contractor to the applicator/working agency on a daily basis or as required, in consultation with and under the supervision of the Engineer-in-Charge. The Engineer-in-Charge shall maintain records of the material received and consumed, including batch numbers, number of containers, quantity contained in each container, purchase voucher/invoice details, daily issue and consumption records, and the corresponding quantity of work executed. |
| 7 | Notes for T & P :- (a) Water-based road marking paint shall be applied using a mechanical pavement marking machine equipped with a minimum of two spray guns and an airless spray application system, capable of executing single and dual-line pavement markings with high accuracy and uniformity. Suitable machines may include Hofmann H18-2 Airless, Graco LineLazer V 250-300DC, Wagner Titan PowrLiner 6955, or any other techno-commercially equivalent or superior model approved by the Engineer-in-Charge.(b) The machine shall be of proven performance and shall possess adequate output capacity, spray pressure, line-width control, and operational capability for efficient execution of road, runway, taxiway, apron, and other pavement marking works in accordance with the specified standards and manufacturer's recommendations.
