2NOTE:- FOR ALL PAINTING , WATER PROOFING ITEMS AND STRUCTURAL REPAIR ITEMS:- The following precautionary measures shall be ensured by the contractor before and during execution of the work:- (i) All the painting works and water proofing works shall be got executed through original material manufacturing company and their authorised applicators as approved by GE and contractor should submit MOU with the manufacturing company and their authorised applicator alongwith performance guarantee otherwise recovery of Rs 2000.00 per week will be made from the contractors dues from the date of commencement of work. (ii) Submission of MOU will be mandatery requirement before execution of work as the entire work shall be executed with the approved firm only. (iii) Contractor shall give guarantee from OEM of 5 years for effectiveness of painting carried out by them from the certified date of completion of work. (iv) Contractor shall deposit entire quantity of material(proprietory materials) in sealed containers required for painting works covered under subject contract in the custody of Engineer-in-Charge.
3(v) The materials as required shall be issued to contractor by JE/Engineer-in-Charge on daily basis and the empty containers/bags shall be deposited in the store of Engineer-in-Charge by the contractor,for verification as per standard consumption/coverage prescribed by the manufactures. (vi) After completion of painting work contractor shall remove and clean all the droplets/stain of paint left on the floor,glasses and joinery. (vii) The work shall be executed in multy storey buildings up to Eight storey height and cost of suitable scaffolding,Mechanical Suspended Platform and Safety Net shall be deemed to be included in quoted rates by the tenderer as directed. (viii) During the execution of work, in case of any damages such as the GAS PIPE LINE or water supply, cable etc. the contractor will have to got it repaired/replaced at his own cost and nothing will be paid extra on account and all these items wii be removed/repaired by contractor at their cost.(ix) All the Demolished bldg material wil be removed outside MOD land by the contractor at his own expenses. The rate of removal is deened to be included in unit rate quated.
4(x) The contractor shall provide all safety equipments as per IS standards to labours. (xi) The work will be carried out in following steps as appended below:-
5M&L for complete removal of old existing treatment of wall(external/internal) and ceiling finished using mechanical dry wall sander machine (having mechanical vacuum mechanism) having RPM not less than 1500,sanding pad of 320 grit or above to completely remove old existing treatment for wall and ceiling surface and ready to take new surface finishes complete all as specified and directed.
6M&L for applying waterproof cement based putty @0.8 kg(undiluted) per sq mtr. Of average thickness 2.5mm in two coats on prepared wall(external/internal) and ceiling surfaces as per sr item No 1.00 above in the following steps:-(i) Filling cracks in wall using crack seal compound Asian smart care crack seal or equivalent.(ii) Mix the putty powder @ 0.8 kg/sqm by adding 35to40% water by volume or as per approved manufacturer's instruction and mix it with electric putty mixer with the mixing capacity of min 2.5 kg putty per minute upto 5to10 minutes.(iii) Apply the first coat of the prepared mix with the help of fully automatic airless spary machine of putty application having flow speed of max 6 ltrs per minutes with a maximum pressure 3300 PSI with bottom to top configuration and allow 6-8 hrs to dry the putty surface.(iv) Apply the second coat of the prepared mix with the help of fully automatic airless spray machine of putty application having flow speed of max 6 ltrs per minutes with a maximum pressure 3300 PSI with horizontal configuration.
7(v) Allow 6-8 hrs to dry putty surface then prepare the surface by electronic wall sander machine to apply subsequent coats of primer complete all as specified and directed.Note:- Primer shall be measured and paid seperately under relevant item.
8M&L for applying one coat of acrylic water based exterior grade/interior grade primer @0.9ltr(undiluted)/10 sq mtrs diluted with water in 1:1 ratio to be applied with fully automatic airless spray machine of paint application with a flow speed of min 1 ltr per minute having a pressure of 3300 PSI on prepared and wall (external) surfaces as per srl item no.1.03 and 1.04 above.Allow 6-8 hrs to dry the surface for painting of subsequent coats complete all as specified and directed.
9M&L for applying two coats of anti fungal weather proof grade exterior acrylic emulsion paint of approved tint @1.8 ltrs/10sqm(undiluted) or as per approved manufacturer's instruction over prepared and primed surface of external wall as per srl item No. 1.03 to 1.04 above. Allow 6-8 hrs to dry the surface in subsequent coats of paint complete all as specified and directed.
10M&L for applying two coats of oil bound emulsion distemper on prepared and primed wall (internal) and ceiling surfaces as per sr item No 1.03 & 1.04 above of approved tint including priming with alkali resistant primer complete all as specified and direct
11Demolition of brick work built in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars etc including rubbish off the premises beyond MOD land complete all as specified and directed.
12M&L for brick work with sub class 'B' Burnt bricks (old size) straight or curved on plan exc 6m mean radius and built in CM 1:6 complete all as specified and directed.
13All as per srl item No 3 above but except brick, complete all as specified and directed.
14M&L Brickwork with subclass ‘B’ bricks, straight or curved on plan to any radius in half brick thick walls built in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and directed.

28S & F in repair stainless steel wire cloth 0.36 mm nominal dia of wire and average width of aperture 1.40mm fixed with tinned tack or stainless steel wire staples including wooden beading complete all as specified and directed .
29S & F 4 mm thick ordinary sheet glass fixed with clips and putty or with aluminium snap beading including hacking out old glass complete all as specified and directed.
30Removal of Vegetation from wall and roof by cutting shrubs, wild growth/tree not exc 30cm girth and removing complete vegetation growth from walls including taking out roots from roof/brick walls and making good the disturbed surface with PCC 1:2:4 type B-0 or CM 1:3 as directed by Engr-in-charge and disposing the rubbish from site (MoD land) for upto double storey block complete all as specified and directed
31PMM repairs (FOR PATCH REPAIRS)
3225-30 mm average thickness ( in 2 layers) up to 8th floor level,complete all as specified and directed
3340-60 mm average thickness ( in 3 layers ) up to 8th floor level, complete all as specified and directed
34PMM repairs at 23.01 and 23.02 above shall be done as per following methodology (From sub items (i) to (vi) below)(i) Chipping of plaster and unsound/weak concrete material till reinforcement bars are exposed, which enable their rust removal vides item ii) below, from slabs, beams, and columns etc. with standard power driven percussion type or pneumatic chisel of standard make as directed by Engineer-incharge including tapering all edges, making square shoulders of cavities etc complete and disposal of debris up for all lifts and leads . (ii) ) Rust removal by Providing and applying Fosroc Reebaklens RR or equivalnet from SIKA/ BASF, a combination of acid based material, corrosion inhibitors and dispersing agents rust remover, for removal of all rust/ scales/corrosion from reinforcement bars before microconcreting or patch repair,It Shall be applied with brush for complete wetting of rusted metal surface at coverage of 2- 2.5 Sqm/ltr.& allow it to react for 16-24 hours. After 24 hours, a white layer will appear which will protect further corrosion of metal /steel for about 5-7 days. Before applying any protective coating, the surface should be wire brushed and thoroughly cleaned for dust with dry cloth.
35(iii) Anticorrosive treatment by Providing and applying Nitozinc Primer an epoxy based zinc rich anti corrosive primer having adhesive bond strength ≥ 1.5 MPa as per ASTM D4541, & shall comply to per ASTM B-117 to be applied on well cleaned, fully exposed and all loose scale , rust free surface obtained by grit blasting or suitable means , to be done with coverage @4.5sqm/litres to achieve a minimum thickness of 40microns DFT or complete all as specified and directed.(iv) Epoxy bonding for old concrete & New concrete by providing and applying bond coat on the prepared surface with two component epoxy based bonding coat Nitobond EP of Fosroc make or equivalent, having specific gravity 1.15 to 1.2 gm/cc, compressive strength(BS 6319 Pt.2)- 50 Mpa at 7 days, Flexural strength strength(BS 6319 Pt.3)- 35 Mpa at 7 days, tensile strength (BS 6319 Pt.7)- 20 Mpa at 7 days, Shear Strength (BS 6319 Pt.4)- 10 Mpa at 7 days, having an over lay time of 6 hrs and 30 ̊C. Bonding agent shall have coverage not less than 2.5sqm/litres Laying of reinstatement polymer modified mortar or micro concrete shall be completed within the overlay time of bonding coat. Item rate is inclusive of materials all labour, tools and tackles, complete all as specified and directed.
36(v) PMM by providing and laying single component, polymer modified, fibre reinforced cementitious repair mortar, Rendroc SP40 or equivalent from SIKA/BASF over the tacky bond coat, that achieves Compressive strength (BS 1881 Pt.116) > 20 MPa at 1 day , > 45 Mpa at 28 days, Tensile Strength > 2.5MPa, Flexural Strength > 7Mpa at 28 days, Finishing the same with trowel carefully compacting the same around the rebars and finishing to bring it in line with existing concrete surface on the beams, slabs, piles etc., complete in all aspect as per manufactur's methodology. Rates include cost of all labour, materials, Tools and Plants,propping, scaffolding, shuettering, safety arrangment, quality control, testing complete all as specified and directed.(vi) Item rates of PMM 25 mm and PMM 50 mm (against items 23.01 and 23.02 respectively ) are inclusive of all materials, labour, tools and plants, propping, scaffolding, safety arrangement, quality control, testing and all items of works from (i) to (v) above quality control etc. complete in all respect, complete all as specified and directed. Work shall be complete only after proper wet curing has been done by contractor and surface has been evaluated for satisfactory quality by sounding/tapping with a blunt metal instrument, and testing of PMM cubes filled up and cured by contractor during the application of PMM (75mm size cube crushing strength at the end of 28-day to be not less than 45 N/sqmm) in addition to NDT Testing as per under item of \\"Testing of works\\"
37Rebar Fixing using Chemical Anchor up to 8th floor levelDrilling suitable holes( 2 Number of holes for each rebar) in reinforced cement concrete with power driven drill machine to a minimum depth of 10D(D-Dia of Bar in mm) in RCC beams, lintels, columns and slabs to introduce new steel bars including fixing the steel bars in position using Lokfix E75 a two-component epoxy anchoring material, supplied in 3:1 ratio having compressive Strength (EN196) >110 MPa, Flexural Strength (EN196) >40MPa, E Modulus (EN196) 10,800 MPa. or of equivalent make but excluding the cost of reinforcement, complete all as specified and directed.
38Anchoring bars for 12mm to 20mm dia, complete all as specified and directed.
39Microconcreting in Columns (for Repairs and Strengthening) up to 8th floor level, complete all as specified and directed.
40Providing and applying a non shrink, polymer modified cementitious micro-concrete Rendroc RG or equivalent from SIKA/BASF having compressive strength (BS 4551-80)-50 Mpa at 28 Days, Tensile strength- 2 Mpa @ 28 Days, Flexural Strength(BS 4551-80)-5 Mpa at 28 Days. product shall have A1 Class Fire Rating confirming to EN1504 cl 5.5, Thermal conductivity of 1.5W/m degree C. Renderoc RG can be applied in sections upto 100mm deep. Pouring the same into the formwork using suitable arrangement or if required using pumping device for uniform flow of micro concrete.Rate is inclusive of preparatory works from item (i) to item (v) below, rates also includes cost of materials labour, tools and plants, cost of shuttering & scaffolding, safety arrangement quality control and testing etc. complete all as specified and directed.

Item rate is inclusive of materials all labour, tools and tackles. complete all as specified and directed.vi) Work will complete only after proper wet curing has been done and testing of Microconcrete cubes filled up and cured by contractor during column jacketing work (100 mm size cube crushing strength at the end of 28-day to be not less than 45 N/sq.mm) and NDT tests mandated under item \\"Testing of works\\"
44Plastering on ceiling and outer walls and other structural elements upto a floor 8 level over PMM/shotcrete repairs or otherwise as replaster as per details given under sub items 26.01, 26.02 and 26.03 below;
4510 mm thick cement plaster of in the ratio of 1 cement and 4 clean sand zone III added with Polymer SBR @2% of cement weight, on ceiling over PMM repairs, shotcrete repairs or as replaster of damaged plaster including preparation of surface by demarketing of PMM repaired surface in regular shape or removal of damaged plaster, complete all as specified and directed.
4615mm thick cement plaster in the ratio of 1 cement to 5 sand added with Polymer SBR @2% of cement weight over outer walls, columns or beams either over repaired surfaces like PMM , Microconcrete etc. including preparatory works like roughening of surface where required as complete all as specified and directed.
47Rate quoted against this item vides sub items 26.01 and 26.02 above shall include all materials, labour, Tools and Plants, Scaffolding, safety arrangement and preparation of surface as mentioned vides 26.01 and26.02 above complete all as specified and directed.
48Guniting (for Repairs and Strengthening) up to 8th floor level
49Dismantling loose concrete cover of RCC coloums, beams slabs, Chajjas, and the like as directed, roughening and cleaning concrete surfaces with steel wire brushes, washed with water and allowed to dry, including dusting of steel reinforcement, providing fabric mild steel wire mesh 75 mm x 75 mm of 2 mm dia as reinforcement to concrete surfaces by welding the same to existing reinforcement, applying adhesive/admixture over steel mesh and providing 25 mm thick (average thickness) guniting mix (using 1 part of ordinary portland cement 53 grade and 2 parts of Badarpur sand mixed with adhesive/admixture at the rate as per manufacturers instruction or 2% by wt of cement all as directed with a pressure of 2 to 2.5 kgs per sqm by guniting machine and surfaces finished even and fair, including plaster to make proper Geographic shape as per site requirement, necessary padding, steel scaffolding and shuttering for working platform/formwork etc complete all as directed.Notes :- (i) Wherever steel reinforcement is required to be provided the same shall be measured separately under relevant item)(ii) Before placing the additional reinforcement all concrete surfaces shall be thoroughly scrubbed with brushes, washed with water and alllow to dry. To this prepared surface apply chemistic Zinc chromate primer at the rate of 2% by weight of cement or all as per manufacturers instructions.
50(iii) When plymix coating is in tackey condition guniting is done with plycrete admixture at the rate of 2% by weight of cement or all as per manufacturers instructions. Plycrete admixture shall be procured from their authorized dealer. (iv) Cost of the above aspects shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate of the respective item and nothing extra shall be paid on any account.
