| 15 | Taking up / down existing 100mm bore cast iron (CI) pipe line / water main of any description, complete with all fittings, accessories and fixtures existing in the line, by carefully dismantling and opening all types of joints including Tyton, rubber gasket and lead joints, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Notes:Notes:(a) Earth work such as excavation, returning filling and removal for pipe line shall be measured and paid for separately under relevant items of Schedule 'A' BoQ.(b) Where old and new pipe lines are laid/relaid along the same alignment/location, earth work such as excavation, returning filling and removal shall be measured and paid only once. | 16 | Laying only in trenches, flanged cast iron (CI) pipes 100mm bore of any description/grade, in any position (horizontal or vertical), as retrieved from serial item No. 15.00 here- in-before, removing rust and corrosion by thoroughly cleaning the surface with emery paper of pipes and including necessary cutting, additions and alterations, welding, with and including Bituminous paint (Bitumen coating) on external surfaces of pipe, with and including jointing with fibre board gasket described under clause 18.48.6 of SSR Part-I 2009 and with and including fitted with nuts, bolts and washers of appropriate size complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge . Note :-(i) Earth work such as excavation, returning filling and removal and Cast Iron specials fittings of the pipes shall be measured and paid for separately under appropriate item of Schedule `A' BoQ.2. The rate of jointing material such as fibre board gasket, nuts , bolts and washers of appropriate size and biumenious paint on external surfaces of pipe is included in this item. contractor shall quote his rates accordingly. Note :-(i) Earth work such as excavation, returning filling and removal and Cast Iron specials fittings of the pipes shall be measured and paid for separately under appropriate item of Schedule `A' BoQ.2.
