| 3 | Waterproofing on roof including flashing and junctions of parapet, kerb, wall etc. as under :- (a) Laying a layer of APP based polymeric membrane, 3 mm thick (minimum), weighing not less than 3.60 kg/Sqm prefabricated fire layer waterproofing membrane reinforced with polyester non woven fabric (weighing not less than 160 gms/sqm) shall be applied over compatible primer at 0.40 litre/Sqm of density at 25 degree Centigrade 0.87-0.89 Kg /Litre and viscosity 70-160 cps or cold sticker, application of APP modified membrance shall be by torch application. The overlaps shall be minimum 150mm on the transverse direction and 100 mm on the longitudinal direction. (b) APP membrance, Primer and bitumastic aluminium paint and bitumen shall be of same brand.(c) For vertical surfaces of parapet, wall etc APP membrane shall be tucked into groove and sealed with weatherproof silicon sealant using gun (full width/depth of groove).(d) Applying two coats of solar reflective bituminous aluminium paint at the rate 0.15 kg per sqm for two coats over exposed APP membrance Note: 1. Work is to be executed at any height and situation.2. Waterproofing compound shall be of approved makes and performance warranty should be minimum 10 years for roofs and horizontal surfaces. |
