| 3 | SMART TIMER UNIT is the brain of system with controlling and communication capabilities. SMART TIMER UNIT communicates with the IoT platform and application server on back end. The Wireless GSM dimmer controller will be in external enclosure. The wireless GSM dimmer controller will be interfaced with the luminaire driver and provide analog 0-10 / 1-10 V signal required for dimming. The Wireless GSM dimmer controller and SMART TIMER UNIT communicates with the cloud server over GSM/GPRS (4G with 2G fallback). For the operation, there are multiple modes available. Power fed from smart highmast panel can be timely scheduled or astronomically scheduled. Dimming profiles can be set for the dimming operation. 1)Smart Highmast Feeder Panel Smart Highmast feeder panel has a smart controller also known as Smart Timer Unit (Remote Terminal Unit). Smart Highmast panel regulates the power being fed to the streetlights. Smart Highmast Panel consist of SMART TIMER UNIT / Controller, Switch gears, Auto / manual rotary switch, protection devices. A SMART TIMER UNIT/controller is an important part of the system which communicates with the server and controls the switch gear. |
| 4 | 2)Smart Timer Unit Smart timer unit is brain of the system capable to communicate and execute the commands. Also, Smart Timer Unit collects information from the sensors connected in the system like Door sensor and takes decision according to configured logic. SMART TIMER UNIT has an inbuilt Energy meter and collects all the energy consumption data periodically with an interval of 15 minutes. The SIM card provides internet connectivity to the SMART TIMER UNIT. There is a two-way communication in between SMART TIMER UNIT and Application installed on server. The occurrences of the faults will be detected and instantly notified to the web application.Bidirectional communication with the server. Monitors status and controls the switch gear. Local program settings storage to work smoothly in case of communication failure. Data storage capability. The SMART TIMER UNIT device enabled for collection and reporting of the metering data at every 15 minutes’ interval. The SMART TIMER UNIT device is with inbuilt RTC with battery backup. It syncs up automatically with the centralized server software. SMART TIMER UNIT stores the data internal memory. It is possible to store one-month records. |

Commands and configurations given by the server will be received by the dimmer controller through the GSM communication protocol. These commands will be executed, and configurations will be stored in the local storage memory. The scheduling and diming capabilities of the controller can be used to dim the luminaire as per the requirement. Remote Dimming Timed Schedule for dimming Local decision making Compatible with analog dimmable drivers (0-10V / 1-10V) 4) loT platform and lighting managment software will be centrally hosted to moniter, control nad configure field devices. An loT platform takes care for device managment, data ingestion and management. An application software proivides an user interface for the system operations. This is the scalable system. It supports search and filters for ease of usage and navigation to identify faulty, not connected, healthy switch points. The lighting managment server software support export of the report data in a CSV format for further analytics. The server software should support configurability for thresholds for under voltage/ over voltage, wattage of lights connected. The server software is capable to configure the ON / OFF / DIM schedule for a switch point or group of switche points based on sunrise / sunset and configurable time as desired.
