Surface Preparation: The terrace surface should be thoroughly abraded to remove all laitance. Any trace of loose plaster, oil grease and any other loose material shall be removed by appropriate method. The entire surface shall then be cleaned thoroughly and existing vegetation to be removed. Identify and remove loose, pointed portions using light hammering in minimum 10 mm thickness. If any pointed objects they are levelled using mechanical cutter/grinder. Clean the surface to remove loose dust, dirt etc. Any uneven or damaged surface must be repaired using polymer modified mortar Renderoc SP40. Apply a 200-gsm geo textile/polyester non-woven cloth on the top of the prepared surface, lay Proofex ORG membrane, and anchor at 200 mm c/c and joints overlapped and waterproof with hot air welded seams. Membrane Laps are overlapped to achieve a minimum weld of 50mm. Laps shall be hot air welded by hand applied or by means of automatic machines. Corner detailing and rainwater outlets shall be addressed using Fosroc Proofex ORG pieces. Proofex ORG membrane to be taken upto 200 mm height of the parapet walls using Aluminium termination strip and seal the same using Nitoseal PU50-Single part PU sealant. From slab level vertical termination till complete height of Parapet with Proofex ORG the membrane must be fixed by Adhesive and must be bonded with substrate vertically.Proofex ORG membrane shall possess Tensile strength ASTM D412: > 9 N/mm2,Elongation (Peak) ASTM D412 & EN 12311-2: 1000%, Puncture Resistance (EN12691-1): Pass Test > 1000 mm, Tear Resistance –EN 12310-1: L-470 N, T-530 N, Root Resistance: Pass Test-No Penetration Hail Resistance(EN 13583):26 m/s, Resistance to Micro-Organism(EN 846) ,complete all as specified and directed. |
