Rate includes supply of bolts (except foundation bolt), nuts, washers, welding, tools & plants, loading & unloading, transport & fuel, labours, all lead and lift, crossing of track if required etc. and item is payable as per weight assessment based on standard sectional weights of members (weight of bolts/washers/nuts/welding etc. shall not be considered for weight calculation for payment). 4. Rate of metallizing is not included in this item. It is to be paid in saperate/relevant items. While, rate is inclusive of painting after metallizing. 5. Stages of Payments: - a. 40% of the payment will be made on receipt of supply of material at welding depot/ workshop. b. 30% of the payment will be made on fabrication of steel elements and bringing it to the site of work. c. 20% of the payment will be released on erection of steel work at proper location. d. 10% of payment will be released on completion of line and level work of erection and on completion of painting. 6. For welding of FOB/Elevetaed Deck/Skywalk girders, submerged arc welding and for columns CO2 welding is to be used and HSFG bolts of Grade 8.8 to be used for bolting in splicing. 7. An addition in weight for welds and bolts in two-member connections are to be made as follows: a. 3% in case of composite (bolted and welded) member connections. b. 1 % in case of purely welded member connections. Structural Members Not requiring any traffic or power block for erection/launching - Working on ramps/staircase of FOBs on either ends (not on platforms), skywalks away from track and fencing at boundary and for green patches shall be paid under this item. Structural Members requiring traffic or power block on Railway track for erection/launching and erected Under traffic and power block or under special safety precautions such as – Working on platforms and working across tracks, close to tracks and above OHE for FOBs, elevated deck and Skywalks and working for track divider shall be paid under this item. |

In case of truss type girders, if sub merged arc type welding is not feasible, other type of welding such as CO2 welding, Electric Arc welding will be permitted with the approval of Engineer in charge. |

Applying one priming coat of polymer based waterproofing compound of approved quality mixed with cement (1 Kg. of water proofing compound and 2 Kg. of cement should cover an area of 2.8 Sq.m. Laying broken china mosaic (broken pieces of china glazed tiles) of approved colour set in 25mm thick cement mortar 1:3 mixed with water proofing powder of approved quality to correct levels and slopes and joints finished by pouring cement slurry and brooming them down. The tiles shall be closely packed such that china mosaic covers at least 90% of slab area. The above treatment shall be provided on the parapets/any other wall above the floor level and the junction between the walls and the parapet rounding of, to the shape of an arc of a curve. Curing of the flooring continuously for 10 days so as to render the surface hard. Cleaning the china mosaic tiles of all dust and stains includes disposal of debris released from this work. Ponding test to be carried out for the 48 hours to check any leakage & that is to be rectified immediately.
