| 10 | M&L for applying 1mm thick wall care putty on prepared surfaces of walls / Chajja's / facia/ ceiling / Ext surfaces (thickness vary from 1.0 to 1.5 mm as required for desired smoothness and levelling of surfaces in two or more layers) by using ready made wall care putty including sand papering after filling the putty to make surface smooth and ready for receiving painting etc, complete all as specified and directed.Note :-(i) The prepared surface after wall putty, the contractor will inform to the GE as well as to the Engineer-in-Charge for site inspection before applying further finishes. (ii) Please note that the further finishes work will start only after approval of the prepared surface from the GE as well as to the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 11 | Preparation of surfaces and Material & Labour for applying Two or more coats of 100% Premium acrylic emulsion paint having VOC less than 50 gm/litre and UV resistance as per IS 15489:2004, Alkali & fungal resistance, dirt resistance exterior paint of required shade (Company Depot Tinted) with silicon additives @ 1.43 litre/ 10 sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 0.90 litre/ 10 sqm over new/old surfaces, complete all as specified and directed. |
| 12 | M&L for preparation and two coat of Distempering with 1st quality acrylic distemper (ready mixed) surface by using Roller over surface, complete all as specified and directed. Note :-(i) Smooth finished surfaces are considered under relevant item above. | 13 | M&L for preparation of old decorated surfaces of ceiling by brooming down or steel wire brushing, scrapiing down, smoke soot, moulds, moss and efflorescent salts trading oil and greasy spots and applying one coat of oil bound distemper, complete all as specified and directed. |
| 14 | M&L for preparing existing treated surfaces of walls including cornices and applying two coats of white wash by making the lime slaked at site and shall be mixed and stirred with about five liters of water for 1 kg of unslaked lime to make a thin cream. This shall be allowed to stand for a period of 24 hours and shall then be screened through clean coarse cloth. 1 kg of gum dissolved in hot water shall be added to every one cubic meter of lime cream. About 1.3 Kg of sodium chloride dissolved in hot water shall also be added for every 10 kg of lime for making the coating hard and rub-resistant. Small quantity of ultramarine blue (upto 3 gm per kg of lime) shall also be added to the white wash solution and the whole solution shall be stirred thoroughly before use, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 15 | M&L for preparation of old painted steel surfaces of any description over 10cm width or girth not otherwise described and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint, complete all as specified and directed. |
| 16 | Efflorescence treatment with certified chemical compounds (includes following steps):-STEP 1 - The seepage area from outside & inside shall be marked [consider at least 300mm extra area all around. Old plaster along with brick joint mortar upto 15mm depth shall be removed by mechanical means.STEP 2- After removing of plaster, thorough cleaning shall be carried out by tamarind water.STEP 3 - The pointing of brick joints shall be carried out by polymer modified mortar Sika MonoTop®-122 F or equivalent (Compressive strength ≥ 50 MPa in 28days as per ASTM C 109 -7cm cube) along with a bonding primer made by Sika Latex® SBR (Tensile adhesion strength - ≥ 1.5 N/mm2 (concrete failure) as per EN 1542)STEP 4 - The fixing of NRV nozzles shall be carried out in a straight line near to old DPC followed by sealing of nozzles as well as a layer of 12-15mm thick polymer modified mortar shall be applied by Sika MonoTop®-122 F or equivalent ((Compressive strength ≥ 50 MPa in 28days as per ASTM C 109 -7cm cube) along with a bonding primer made by Sika Latex® SBR Tensile adhesion strength - ≥ 1.5 N/mm2 (concrete failure) as per EN 1542).(Note : Allow mortar to cure for 24 hours.)STEP 5 - Next day, start injecting the polyacrylic injection Sika Injection®- 306 or equivalent (with a versatile and adjustable reaction time having mixed viscosity: 3-11 M pa s at + 20 degree C, reaction time: adjustable according to ambient temperature and execution requirement between 8-50 Mins PH - 9-10. Tested as per Wissbau No 2002- 094- (1A) function test with re- injectable hose system) through NRV nozzles and allow product to react so that a seal can be created within the brick work.STEP 6 - Once the injection work is completed, cut the NRV nozzles and seal with polymer modified mortar.Apply two coats of SikaTop®-107 Seal Plus IN or equivalent ( Food grade product - CFTRI Certificate for repeated use with aqueous foods / water as per USFDA 175.300 , Tensile adhesion strength ≥ 2.0 N/mm2 as per ASTM D4541 & Water penetration under pressure ~0 mm penetration at 5 bar for 72 h as per BS EN 12390-8) followed by protect it with polymer modified mortar made by Sika Latex® SBR or equivalent (Tensile adhesion strength - ≥ 1.5 N/mm2 -concrete failure- as per EN 1542). |
