The tiles are to be fixed by provding 2 mm thick spacer. The area of spacer is to be filled by using cement based grout of approved shade. The grooves are to be filled with cemenitious grout mix with proportion of 0.90 kg grout and 0.10 kg of hardener for each kg of filling material complete in all respect and to entire statisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge. |

The water proofing chemical shall have properties as water absorption 1% minimum, pot life at 30º C : 30 min, application temperature 10º C, bond strength to concrete : approx 1 N/mm2. (Fosroc Hydroproof xtra or equivalent) . The primer coat shall be provided in ratio 1 part of Hydroproof Xtra :2 parts of water : 4 parts of cement mixed material with the above proportion will cover an area of 16-17sqm for 1 L of Hydroproof XTRA . The two top coats shall laid in ratio 1:2 i.e. 1 part of chemical and 2 parts of neat cement after laying of 800 micron fibre mesh. The thickness of each coat shall be about 1 to 2 mm. The 2nd coat shall be applied after 5-6 hours of 1st coat. The full curing shall be done after 12 hours with must curing after 6 hours. The coverage of top coats shall be 4.5-5.0 sqm /litre/ coat. The work shall be undertaken as per manufacturer specifications, complete in all respect and to the entire satisfaction of Engineer in Charge. |
