| 2 | Material and labour for providing and laying Premix Bituminous macadam of consolidated thickness 25 mm to 50mm,using paving bitumen binder of grade VG-30 @ and binder content of 4% by weight of total mix with mixing of aggregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrostatic paver finisher (Paver shall not be compulsory in case of patch work using B.M.) and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 504 MoRTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. NOTES : (i). The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CI. No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BM shall be worked out from Thapar Institute of Engg & Tech Patiala/NIT Kurukhshetra /PEC Chandigarh/CTL chandigarh for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the Garrison Engineer for approval before commencement of work. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ 50/kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on plus side. (ii) The BM shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within in a maximum of 48 hours. If their is to be any delay, by the contractor the course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of Clause 512 of MORTH (5th Rev) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately. |
| 3 | Material and labour for providing and laying Premix Bituminous asphaltic dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder ( using paving bitumen of grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2, mixing of agrgregates with VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hyrdostatic paver finisher and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. |

After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per Clause Nos. 507.4.8 and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. (iv). The vintage of the T&P (Hot mix plant/road roller i.e. vidrating roller,static roller,hydraulic roller/paver) to be incorporated in the wk should not be more than 10 years except the tippers and shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work.(v). The certificate wrt the capactiy of the hot mix plant (HMP) shall be 100-120 TPH and the plant shall be electronic operated, batch type and location be intimlated and the same shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work. |
| 5 | (vi). The distance of the HMP shall not be more than 100 KM from the Mil Stn Patiala. Detail of plant to be submitted to GE for approval before date of commencement of the work.(vii). The calibration certificate for HMP shall be submittaed by the contractor for approval of GE before date of commencement of the work which should not be more than 06 months old.(viii). The minimum 2 Road roller each (vibrating and static road roller) are required at site before commencement of the work on the groung and the same shall be approved by GE before date of commencement of the work. |
| 6 | Material and labour for repairs to pot holes any depth not exceeding 1.00 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scouring sunken surfaces in roads, path etc cutting edges at least 25 mm depth and making good by applying tack coat with bitumen grade VG-10 @ 5 kg/X Sqm, putting in premix bituminous macadam using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 well rammed and sealed with binder @ 9.80 kg mixed with 0.09 cum of stone chippings 6.3 mm size per 10 Sqm and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chipings, depth of pot holes exe 30mm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. |
| 7 | Material and labour for 2.5mm thick road marking thermo plastic reflective paint to be carried out mechanically with hot application of material (painting material @ 5 Kg /Sqm ) and glass beads @ 250 gm/Sqm confirming to CI No 803.4 of MoRTH in strips of 100/150 mm width on road surfaces complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. |
| 8 | Supply and fixing cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model No DA 972.0 fixed with and including MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions comlete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. |
| 9 | Supply and fixing solar road stud/cateye shall be produced from an engineered polymer selected for superior impact resistance and weatherability. The top of the marker should be transparent for solar charging and light output in active mode. The base of the body shall be yellow or neutral white as approved by Engineer-in-Charge. The marker shall incorporate a solar panel (comprising of solar cells) for converting for solar energy into electricity, a illumination. The marker shall also have high reflective lenses for conspicuity in passive mode and dual shanks for applied with epoxy resin adhesives designed for use with raised pavement markers and as supplied by the marker manufacturer separately. The solar cateye shall be of height : 65+ 2 mm & maximum diameter : 136+ 4 mm. The body of the solar cateye shall be resistant to dust and water ingress as per IP 65 & & IP 68 standards as per testing parameter requirement of MoRTH Section 800. The marker shall support a load of 13635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. Complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. |
| 10 | Material and labour for 75 mm thick cement concrete type D-2, (1:4:8) using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in sub floor, sub base, flooring, Hardstanding, etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. |
| 11 | Material and labour for providing and laying 80mm thick factory made chamfered edge cement concrete paver block of M-40 grade with approved colour, design & pattern as in footpath, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc, of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over and including 50mm thick compacted bed of fine sand, compacting and proper embedding/ laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sandcomplete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. |
| 12 | Material and labour for providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete including embedding in the ground to depths indicated and tamping ground around and also for removing any surplus spoil to a distance n. exc. 50 m complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. |
