| 1 | Testing of lightning conductor for its continuity through skilled electrician and helper using megger and other necessary tools, plants and equipments including rectification of the discontinuity by providing new lightning conductor or refixing the displaced exisitng lightning conductor in place as required on top priority as and when required including necessary minor repair work as required during rectification complete all as specified and directed.[Note: 1) Complete lightning arrester/conductor system of the Each building shall be measured as one unit. 2) All the materials required to complete the work at site such as wooden plugs, Nut, bolt, Washers, shaddles,fixing screw etc shall be provided by the contractor and deemed to be included in the rate quoted by the contractor. 3) New material such as Air terminal, GI/Aluminium strip shall be measured and paid separately 4) Labour cost for all refixing work shall deemed to be included in the rate quoted of this item. 5) For the purpose of testing contractor shall supply all equipments and instruments at his own cost without any extra claim] 6) supply of 03 nos insulator in each RM of GI/ Al strip for fixing on wall /roof.7)All test result to be entered in a register properly bound and covered and to be submitted to the Engr-In-Charge. .during payment. |
| 2 | Material, labour,testing and commisssioning Chemical Earthing with copper pipe electrode 3.0 M long having outer pipe dia 50mm & inner pipe dia 44mm duly filled with highly conductive and anti corrosive compound of required quantity having chemical compostion Bentonite 40%, copper sulphate 20%, Gypsom 5%, Graphite 10%, Alum 5%, Zinc sulphate 10%, Aluminium sulphate 10% buried in ground by digging a bore of 150mm dia surrounded by soil friendly backfill compound non soluble in water including connection with Copper earth strip 20x3mm upto 7 meter length, making PCC pit of size 0.3mx0.3mx0.3m (inner size) in mix 1:3:6 type CI with RCC 1:2:4 type B-1, 40mm thick cover reinforced with 8 mm dia MS bars 3 Nos both ways with lifting hook made out of 8mm dia bar and testing on completion to acheive value not more than 1.0 ohm complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in Charge Note :- Contractor shall provided any make of prodas approved by E-in-Cs,HQ Southern Command or under zonal specification. |

Earth plate surrounded by 15 cm thick packed layers of charcoal dust and common salt upto 1.5 meter depth all around the earth plate and connected to earth lead of GI strip 25x4 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvd iron or steel and thimbles and other end of the earth strip connected to LT panel / with strip/down conductor and protected by galvanized iron or steel pipe light grade 32 mm bore and water pipe 20mm bore GI medium grade with funnel and wire mesh, including required excavation for making the pit perfect to size and earth work PCC chamber in cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 and RCC cover and all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of MES schedule Pt I of 2009 and also including making test point for testing of earthing complete . Notes:- 1. RCC pit cover shall be pre-cast of RCC (1:2:4) type B-I , 80 mm thick reinforced with XPM weighting not less than 4 KG/sqmm in lieu of CI cover. 2. Charcoal dust and common salt upto 1.5 meter depth shall be filled in lternate layers of 15 centimeters all around the earth plate inside earth pit . On testing after completion of earthing if desired earth resistance is not achieved , the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to obtain the desired earth values 3. All test result to be entered in a register properly bound and covered and to be submitted to the Engr-In-Charge during payment. 4.For the testing of earth result contractor shall supply all equipments and apparatus/instruments at his own cost without any extra claim.5. During the excavation of earth pit if rocky soil or sand found contractor fill the earth pit from black cotton soil taken from near by place. Filling of black cotton soil or arrangement of the same rates deemed to be included in the qouted rate. |
