| 3 | Ploughing/Furrowing of sand with mechanical means like tractor with necessary attachments at the end of PTT (SGA) both ends (12 & 30 End) incl removal of vegeation growth, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note :- Contractor shall provides the machine with operator and labour on required basic as per requirement/condition on ground and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. The ploughing/furrowing of sand/gravels shall done at interval of time/weekly basis or as per ground position required basis. Decision of the Engineer-in-Charge shall be final in this regard for where proper record shall be maintained to justify the process of clarifying on required basis. |
| 4 | Demolition of old PQC / concrete of any description and in any position not other wise specifically provided for and demolished material thrown out of premises complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge |
| 5 | M&L for Pavement quality concrete(PQC) of minimum 28 days field Flexural strength of 45Kg/ Sqcm or 4.5 Mpa, aggregate gradation as per Table 3 of IRC 15 2017, coarse aggregate of clean , hard strong, dense non-porous and durable pieces of crushed stone o gravel, fine aggregates of clean natural sand o crushed stone sand or combination of both using minimum 360 kg/cum of cement with non-circular virgin synthetic fibre of 12-18 mm length, specific gravity 1.34 to 1.39, UV stable, alkali resistant, with equivalent dia 15-40 micron, minimum melting temperature as 240°C and minimum tensile strength of 300 Mpa and at the rate as specified by the manufacturer. PQC laid, spread and compacted as per ground condition , including curing and tining by Texturing means complete all as specified and directed. Required surface texturing to be done as specified in Clause - 10.1.14 and Table-9 9 of IRC 15-2017 including necessary steel formwork complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. |
| 6 | M&L forming 25mm width expansion joints in concrete slab for full depth of PQC. Early entry saw and subsequent cutting by using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joints shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris The Joint then filled with pre-molded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified, thereafter application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Placing of closed cell, medium density, cross linked polythene form backup rod of 30mm dia over filler board and filled with polyurethane joint sealant complying with BS 5212, BS 4254 and EN 141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/-30% having minimum 10-year performance guarantee, applying masked tape on the edge of joints and removing the masking tape after filling of sealant as per the method specified by manufacturers complete as specified and directed. |

| 8 | Repair to existing joint in PQC/PCC rigid pavement of size 20 to 40 mm wide and 40 mm depth (average) consisting of the following activities, complete all as specified and directed. Racking out old decayed/damaged existing sealing compound and cleaning the joints thoroughly by removing dust, dirt, foreign material by appropriate hand tools such as chisel, Hammer or L hooks.NOTE:- (a) After cleaning the joints thoroughly, it shall got approved from GE before progressing further. (b) Removing the existing sealing coumpound from the edges, bottom and sides of the joints by cutting edges, bottom and sides of the joints 1mm of the existing construction joints (upto the full depth of 40mm (average)) by mechanical tool (diamond cutter) to make the cross section of joint truly rectangular. NOTE:- Cutting the edges/sides/bottom of joints by using diamond cutter only and clean surfaces shall got approved by GE, after cleaning process, primer and joint filling shall be done in presence of Engineer -in- Charge.(c) Once again cleaning the joints with compressed air and applying two priming coats upto the full depth and width of the existing joints after an interval of 30 minutes to complete prepared surfaces of the joints.(d) Filling the closed polyethylene back up road 20 to 40 mm dia (as aplicable to joints)of make ELECON or M/s Supreme Industries Ltd and applying bond breaker tape on top of backup rod for complete width of joint and filled with polysulphide or polyurethane based sealant (minimum depth of sealant above backup rod shall be 15 mm) all as per manufacturer\\"s instruction including applying masking tape on edges of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surfaces and removing the tape after sealant is applied, complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE:--. (i) Masking tape shall invariably be used on both sides of the joints and before further progressing of joint shall be got approved by Engineer-in-charge.a panal recovery of Rs. 20.00 /RM shall be effected for both sides if masking tape not found used for joint filling (ii) Material shall confirm to BS ( Make FOSROC (COLPOR -200 gray) or Chemtallraj India Pvt Ltd. (RALLITHANE ) OR STP Ltd (Shalifex PU) OR CICO OR Cippy poly Seal OR CHOKSEY. (e) Electric supply shall be arranged by the contractor at his own arrangements and rate quoted for the item deemed include the same. |
| 9 | M&L for cutting the edges of the cracks into V shape upto 15mm to 20mm wide and 25mm to 30mm deep and removing the old / all loose material to a distance n. exc 100 mtrs including cleaning the cracks throughly with help of blower and filling the cracks with rubberized cut back bitumen complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge (Crack should be Refilled upto top if settlement occurred in crack with in 24 hrs after first time filling). |
| 10 | M&L for repair to broken edges / corners / cracks of any width in concrete/Rigid pavement by cutting grooves in rectangular /square form with hand tools/diamond cutter upto a depth of 25mm including removal of all loose and foreign materials to a distance exceeding 50 m and not exceeding 250 m and cleaning of grooves by means of compressed air complete all as specified and directed so as to remove all dust, dirt, sand and foriegn material with applying primer coat and filling with component system mixture/ chemical as per manufacturers instructions complete all as specified and directed . |

| 12 | M&L for preperation of old concrete surfaces of any description and applying one coats of paint for painting lines, dashes, arrows and letters etc exceeding 10cm width road marking paint white or golden yellow by using a water based paint complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge. Make : ACE of Asian Paint (India) Ltd/ EXCEL of Nerolac Paints / WALMASTA of Berger Paints or equivalent makes as per CA provisions. Notes : 1. Colour shade will be finalized by GE before incorporating in work. 2. Painting to be done in every quarter and measured each time seperately. 3. 25% of the material used in this item should be procured firstly by contractor as on or before starting the work. |
| 13 | M&L for approved earth soil for construction of shoulders/berms, using approved material obtained from borrow areas outside MOD land by the contractor at his own cost. Work shall include with all lifts & leads, transportation to site, and testing of soil as per IS: 2720. The material shall have Minimum laboratory dry density (MLDD) not less than 1.70 g/ccNote :- (a) The soild incorporated for preparation of subgrade, shoulders, berms, etc. shall be tested and approved by any govt laboratory before use. (b) Measurement for payment shall be executed in the area of proposed embankment prior to stacking of soil brought from borrow areas outside MOD land. (c) The borrow soil shall be approved by the Engr-in-Charge prior to utilisation. |
| 14 | Forming embankments from available earth including raising (or lowering) earth spreading in layers n exc. 30 cm thick, levelling, watering and well ramming. Each layer to be compacted using Soil Compactor (Vibratory Roller 10-12 tonnes) to achieve dry density to 95% of Modified Maximum Proctor Density as per IS 2720 Part VII complete all as specified & directed.Note :-(a) The formation levels for the embankment shall be prepared considering a uniform transverse slope of 1% from the centerline/edge of the existing carriageway. The contractor shall ensure that the final compacted surface strictly follows the designed slope to facilitate proper drainage.(b)Before Commecent of work OGL Survey to be carried out by the contractor as approx.area 33000 sqm at 5mx5m interval and Levels be recorded jointly by Engr-in-Charge/JE and Contractor using Auto level/Total station. Any rework due to incorrect levels or improper slope shall be corrected by the contractor at his own cost. (c) All survey, level taking, setting out, and alignment works required for embankment formation shall be carried out entirely at the contractor’s own cost. No extra payment shall be entertained for any survey-related activity. |
