Only affected concrete shall be removed and conducting proper investigation, (Good & sound concrete should not be chipped / damaged) by chipping / hacking with chisel and hammer or by mechanical means like light weight chisel hammer, pneumatic chippers, making saw cut at periphery to avoid feather edge for all height and removal and disposal of debris at designated location including all material, labour, tools, temporary supports for structures, electricity, plant and machineries etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge and/or Consultant. Depth of chipping may vary from 20 to 100 mm. |

The material is to be applied to the rusted metal bar, using brush and leaving it to dry for 30 Min. & washing surface with fresh water as required to exposed reinforcement bar at all heights, including all material, labour, tools, temporary supports for structures, electricity, plant and machineries complete as per detail specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge and/or Consultant. The concrete surface area containing the cleaned rebars shall be measured for payment. |

| 7 | OD194935/2024-2025:Microconcrete Reinstatement for thickness more than 50mm for RCC members:-Providing and laying of special repair material micro-concrete for reinstatement of members having thickness of repair more than 50mm and jacketing, using Single component, high strength, high flow cementitious micro-concrete having compressive strength minimum of M40 at 28 days such as MasterEmaco 346 or Renderoc RGL / RGS of Fosroc or equivalent, blended with washed saturated surface-dry (SSD), graded, low absorption, high density, aggregates of size 3mm to 10mm at 50% by weight of micro concrete (if thickness is 100mm or more) and water as per data sheet and pouring into the shuttering if required than use birds beak type form work using suitable arrangement or if required using pumping device for uniform flow of Microconcrete. The side shuttering can be removed after Minimum of 24 hours, preferably 3 days and the bottom shuttering after 7 days ensuring proper bond between the micro concrete and existing concrete substrate at all heights, including all material, labour, tools, temporary supports for structures, electricity, plant and machineries, curing etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge and/or consultant. The system should be based on solvent free acrylic polymers with selected mineral fillers and should be ultra-violet resistant, crack bridging type, carbonation resistant, breathable, enviornment friendly, water proofing coating. For anticarbonation, equivalent air layer thickness denoted as R or SD CO2 grater than 50 m and for breathability equivalent air layer thickness denoted as SD H2O shall be less than 4 m for vapour transmitting barrier. The system consists of one coat primer @ 75- 100 g/m2. The consumption of main polymer coating to give film thickness of 200-225 microns (Solid contents- 70%+ -3%) should be approximately. 400-450 g/m2 per two coats depending upon the method of application (either by roller or brush) and surface smoothness of the concrete. The total dry film thickness of the coating system should be minimum 200 microns for the above system. Polymer coating should be in suitable approved shades, including cost of materials, cleaning, chipping and removing the dirt particles of the concrete slab with wire brush and water,labour charges for filling the bug holes, cracks, joints etc with one component polymer modified fine repair and cosmetic mortar, labour for applying the above coating etc. complete as per IRC SP:80 Clause 6.5.1 and Clause 2808 in the Specifications Book for Roads & Bridges published by the Ministry during April 2013.
